The owl toddler looked excited when the faeries asked for help. He jumped out of his bed and patted his chest. "Vatra will help! Just tell what I need to do, faeries!"

"Good boy!" the trio of faeries said at the sa ti. They were really glad this owl boy nad Vatra was a helpful one.

And he didn’t seem to plan on trapping them in a jar to keep them as decorations, which showed his true kindness, no wonder he could see the faeries!

"Vatra, we want to know if you’ve seen a female human in this kingdom," Crush Tutu asked first.

"A female... human?" Vatra tilted his head. "What is that?"

"Uhh, a beastman without horns, a tail, or feathers like you," Tutu tried to give the best description she could, since a beastman who lived deep inside Roc Forest would usually never encounter a human in their entire life.

"And she is very beautiful!" Jan Keke added as she rembered their old darling—the mother of their missing darling—who died almost eighteen years ago.

"Oh, yes! She is very, very beautiful!" Bold Dodo emphasized.

The elders always told them that all Darlings of the Earth would be blessed with beauty that no one could resist, because their beauty ca from the blessing of the earth.

Like clay that had been ticulously shaped by Mother Nature herself, the darlings were guaranteed to be the most beautiful won in each of their eras.

At first, the owl boy couldn’t think of anyone who fit the description, but when the faeries ntioned her beauty, he rembered the woman that the Beast King carried during the spring festival two days ago.

Even for a boy like Vatra, who still hadn’t developed an interest in the opposite gender, he was still captivated by such beauty, just like the rest of the beastn who witnessed the declaration during the spring festival.

"Oh! I rember her! Our King carried her to the spring festival two days ago! She is very, veeeery beautiful!" Vatra confird. "Uhmm... I didn’t see wolf ears on her. Does that count?"

"Yes! Oh, thank Mother Tree!" the trio of faeries rejoiced, flying around Vatra’s head and making the boy giggle because of the funny faeries in front of him.

But their joy was short-lived, because Tutu realized sothing was off. "Wait, did you say that she was carried by the King two days ago?"

"Yes! Uhm... I think he wants to make her his wife!" Vatra said.

That answer almost made the faeries lose their ability to fly. They all looked at each other, then back at Vatra. "S-so, she lives with the King now?"

"Um! I heard from my Papa that her na is Mistress Sisi!" Vatra said. His eyes looked up as he tried to recall the story his Papa told him a few days ago. "Hmmm... the Beast King brought back his son before, and he also brought Mistress Sisi with him. They look so good together, like and my Mama!"

The faeries were even more confused now. It was impossible for their darling to get pregnant, because if she gave birth, then that ant—

"No, no, calm down, everyone. That child is probably adopted. You know the rule of the faeries, right?"

"R-right, that ans she must’ve found the King’s son stranded in the forest and decided to take care of him. All of the darlings have very strong motherly instincts after all," Jan Keke confird.

"But isn’t it better if we et her and talk to her as soon as possible? I don’t feel good about this Beast King..." Dodo added.

"Besides, her na is Mistress Sisi. Isn’t that similar to our nas?" Crush Tutu theorized. "She must have a real na that only Grandma Tree knows, but we should call her by the na she goes by, so she’d feel like the rest of us!"

"Right!" Jan Keke and Bold Dodo nodded.

The faeries actually had their real nas written on the leaves where they were born.

But faeries generally had a hard ti rembering complicated things, so they often called each other by simplified versions of their nas.

Such as Crush Tutu, whose real na was written on her leaf as:

Crushie Tuturite Tieria

But everyone except her Grandpa couldn’t rember her full na, so everyone simply called her Crush Tutu.

Jan Keke and Bold Dodo also had the sa problem, so they were all convinced that Mistress Sisi must be their darling!

Thus, the faeries returned to Vatra and asked, "Good Vatra, can you bring us to the King? We have to talk to Mistress Sisi!"

Vatra shook his head. "Papa said I cannot go because everyone in the palace is busy, and he cannot look after while working. He said he’ll bring once I’m older, so I can play with the Crown Prince!"

The faeries were discouraged at first, but then Jan Keke asked, "Then how about your Papa? Does he go to the palace often?"

"Every day!" Vatra replied proudly. "My Papa is the Beast King’s advisor! He has to go to the palace every day! Uhm, but he is sleeping right now and will wake up at dusk, then go to the kingdom to work until morning!"

"Great! We’ll just go with your Papa then. Can you bring us to him?"

"Sure! He’s usually sleeping alone, since my Mama doesn’t like sleeping with him because he snores a lot!"

The faeries then jumped and sat on the owl boy’s head, and they walked out of his room.

He walked toward a room directly across from his, then pushed the door slightly open so they could peek inside.

There, they saw an adult owl beastman sleeping while snoring very loudly.

The faeries covered their ears at the sa ti, as the snoring was deafening for small creatures like them.

Even Vatra had to cover his ears. "He will wake up soon. Faeries, do you want to go into his room?"

"No!" Tutu, Keke, and Dodo replied at the sa ti.

"We will just stay outside and wait for him to wake up," Crush Tutu said.

"Ahhh! Vatra, close the door! My ears are hurting!" Jan Keke complained.

"Which beast snores this loudly? It’s crazy!" Bold Dodo protested.
