"No, silly. They are praising you!" Sisi said. "They are very happy that you will be their king in the future, because you’ll be even stronger than your Daddy."

"I will?" Jojo asked, unsure of himself because even if he was confident in his strength, he still didn’t think he’d be on par with his father.

"You will, son," Kael affird. Since the die had been cast, it was ti for him to maneuver his tactics to make sure that everyone accepted Jojo as the future Beast King rather than hiding his curse.

And since Jojo had awakened his curse, it was ti to educate him about it later.

"If... if I beco strong like Daddy, does that an I can protect Sisi?"

"Of course!" Kael agreed. "But you don’t have to do that. I’ll protect her myself."

The boy shook his head. "I also want to protect Sisi!"

"Hahahaha, alright, boy," Kael laughed heartily. "Everyone here is chanting your na. They want you to be their king in the future. But you will have to be a great king deserving of their trust. You need to be strong, wise, and smart."

"Umm... okay!" Jojo actually didn’t understand much of what his father was saying. In his life, all he could think about was playing around, hunting, and eating.

Now that he had Sisi by his side, the boy still wanted to do those things... with Sisi and his father beside him!

But he wanted the best for Sisi, and living in a cave would be dangerous, especially with many big bears around.

Thus, the boy was determined to beco a king like his father, solely because he wanted to give Sisi a good life.

Every beastman present was marveling at the pair of demigods on the stone platform. The crimson and golden eyes were truly eye-catching and emanated a powerful aura that made their beastman instincts tingle, telling them to bow down to Kael and Jojo.

"The soldiers will start giving away food for the celebration—plants and at based on your preference—and also grains as ergency food for your hos," Kael said. "I shall retreat back to the palace to handle so matters."

As Kael jumped onto a roof and went back to the palace, the streets were full of noise, chanting glorious praises for the Beast King and their Crown Prince.

Seeing this made Sisi a little emotional, and she couldn’t help shedding a tear that dropped onto Jojo’s head.

Jojo felt it and asked, "Sisi, are you crying? D-did you get hurt?"

"Huh?" Kael frowned. "What’s wrong, Sisi?"

"No, nothing at all," Sisi wiped the tear. "I’m just glad that you are well accepted here, Jojo. That ans your future is secured."

’And all I have to do is protect him until he can protect himself,’ Sisi reminded herself of her mission for the next fifteen years or so.

Once they returned to the Queen’s courtyard, Kael gently set them back inside the pavilion and said, "I’ll have to attend court and ask about the situation after what happened last night. I’ll make sure there will be guards around the pavilion, so you won’t get hurt."

"Thank you for bringing Jojo to the spring festival. It’s good that your people now know the weight of Jojo’s position in this kingdom," Sisi said formally.

"And I should thank you too for playing along when I declared you the future Beast Queen," Kael chuckled. "That’s not a lie, you know? That role is reserved for you, Queen Sisi."

Sisi’s cheeks grew hotter upon hearing that new title. It felt very strange, but since she had decided to go along with it, then so be it.

Jojo was even more excited as his ears perked up. "Sisi, does that an you can be my Mommy once you are a queen?"

"That’s—"

"—exactly right, son," Kael finished the sentence before Sisi could say anything.

"Uwaahh! I’m so happy! I can call Sisi Mommy once she is queen!" Jojo hugged Sisi’s neck even tighter than before.

"Alright, alright, stop hugging my neck so tight. You might kill before I beco your Mommy," Sisi joked, and Jojo quickly loosened his arms around her neck.

Instead, he rubbed his head against Sisi’s cheek lovingly, as if he was trying to mark her with his scent.

Kael’s legs felt heavy as all he wanted was to feast his eyes on the sight of Jojo and Sisi together.

They were truly a heartwarming pair of mother and son—the type of perfect pair that was the ideal dream of all n.

Whether those n were beastman, human, or any other species, it was very pleasant to have a loving wife and a cute son, and Kael was no different from those n.

But he still had to attend court because he wanted to sort out a few things. He finally left and told Diane at the courtyard gate to send plenty of guards around the pavilion to keep Sisi and Jojo safe.

Once he returned to the throne room, all the high-ranked beastn were kneeling in front of the throne, with the exception of Vestor, who stood beside it.

It had only been a day since their previous morning court, and it looked like Vestor had aged ten years from exhaustion.

Aside from that, General Pell and Garou were kneeling at the front right under the throne as they were about to be judged for their fatal mistake of allowing a death-row convict who had hard the future queen and crown prince to escape.

This was the second ti Garou had been put on trial, but he wasn’t all that scared—unlike General Pell, who was sweating bullets right now.

He believed that the Beast King would spare him simply because he was still useful to the kingdom.

Kael sat on the uncomfortable throne, and Vestor did his usual speech celebrating the glorious Beast King.

Once those formalities were done, Kael looked down at the elephant general and the young panther general.

"Give an excuse why I should keep both of you in my court," Kael demanded. "Your sloppy job caused a woman who hard my future wife and my son to escape—do you know how fatal of a mistake that is?"
