SOLARIS gracefully landed on the foot of the snowy mountain.
It was the area directly below Solarium, the floating island.
Hence, he wasn’t surprised to see his fellow Fire Mages up in the sky, fighting the winged Crades that were probably summoned by the Moonchesters.
[The Supre and her family are no longer here...]
He was about to join his fellow Fire Mages when he heard tiny voices behind him.
Hmm?
Solaris turned around and, much to his surprise, he saw snakes following him like ducklings.
"It’s strange yet fascinating," Solaris said, squatting down. "Although I am the Fire Archmage, I never had the ability to communicate with animals."
Ah, so it was like that.
[The Black Serpent and the Moon Serpent are indeed the masters of all the snakes in the world.]
"My na is Solaris, and I am the son of the Red Phoenix," Solaris said shyly. "That makes the Supre’s nephew."
Solaris chuckled while listening to the snakes that were starting to sound like whining children.
[Father, the snakes called you ’an.’]
"A god? Who?"
Solaris imdiately stood up. "Please bring to the Blue Dragon."
He followed the snakes until he reached a cave.
Lo and behold, the Blue Dragon was indeed there.
Elis Ripperton was "sleeping" while trapped inside a huge block of ice.
[It’s the Black Serpent’s ice.]
Solaris could see that the Blue Dragon’s fingers were twitching as if he was forcing himself to wake up.
But that wasn’t the only thing that he noticed about the Beast God.
"Why is the Blue Dragon’s skin bluish when his scales aren’t showing?"
Solaris only realized that he had said it out loud when the snakes responded while grinning like so happy children.
Solaris was in awe after hearing the snakes’ explanation.
He couldn’t believe that Winter Nystrom, still a little boy, had managed to do that to the Blue Dragon who had been existing for many centuries now.
However, he quickly reminded himself that his cousin wasn’t just the Moon Serpent.
[Winter Nystrom is also the God Slayer.]
Solaris clenched his hands, his heart swelling with pride.
[Supre, even your son is amazing.]
Solaris quickly turned to the snakes.
Much to his pleasant surprise, he saw them bringing a black feather to him.
[It’s the Supre’s feather.]
And it was an old way of sending secret ssages among Fire Mages.
Solaris squatted down again, then he picked up the black feather on top of the little snakes’ head. "Thank you, little ones."
He just smiled and asked the snakes to move away from him.
Then he burned the black feather with his fla.
It was a feather that could only be burned by a Fire Mage’s fla, and only when burned would the ssage appear.
It was an order from the Supre so, of course, he couldn’t ignore it.
"I understand, Supre," Solaris whispered to himself. "I shall follow your order."

[OH. IT LTED.]
Winter was relieved when the ice that froze him finally lted, all thanks to Julian’s fla.
He didn’t know if it was because of the sense of relief that he felt, but he slowly yet surely returned to his human form.
Julian caught Winter when he almost fell because he forgot to use flight magic.
"Are you okay, Winter?" Julian asked worriedly. "Are you hurt anywhere?"
Winter shook his head. "I’m fine, Brother. I just feel a little cold."
It was weird.
He shouldn’t be feeling cold, but here he was now.
[I’ll ask Mommy to check on my condition later.]
"Children, let’s go down first," Uncle Wixx, who was done blocking all the boulders that almost hit them earlier, said. "It looks like your parents are having a serious discussion, so let’s give them so privacy in the anti."

"HAVE YOU cald down, Kiho?" Tilly asked her husband worriedly after they descended. Right now, they were in what looked like a garden before it was destroyed. "Winter has already returned to his human form, and he’s not hurt anywhere. My brother is looking after our children, so we can talk."
Kiho nodded. "Is Julian okay? How about his heart?"
She smiled, happy that despite his condition, her husband was still worrying about their son.
[And it looks like he has returned to his senses.]
"Julian is fine now, honey. I made him a Spirit Guardian," she assured him. "His heart was replaced by the fragnt of the Sun God. But don’t worry. The Sun God won’t have control over our son’s life."
Kiho looked relieved. "I’m glad to hear that." He then kissed her on the forehead. "Thank you for working hard, honey."
"I’ll do anything and everything for our children," she said, then she turned serious. "So, Kiho. Tell . Do you really think that the Moon God is a demon?"
"Now that I am sober, I believe it’s impossible even for the Moon God to deceive the other gods for so long," her husband said carefully. "Hence, instead of being a demon from the start, I think my father has changed into a demon gradually. It’s probably the reason why he has been elusive all this ti."
That sounded more plausible.
"That’s what I think, too," she said, nodding. "Kiho, even when you were Kalel, I’m pretty sure that there wasn’t even an ounce of demon blood in you."
"But I wonder when the Moon God has turned into a demon..."
Tilly paused for a mont, then she snapped her fingers when she rembered sothing. "Perhaps it happened when the Moon God began getting obsessed with creating a human body suitable for him?"
"Oh, you’re right, honey," Kiho agreed with her, then he knitted his eyebrows. "In the first place, I never understood why the Moon God needed a human body."
And that could be the reason why the Moon God had turned into a demon.
[Another mystery, I see.]
