When the do of shadows surrounding Netherius and his dragon dissipated, Asphodel seed surprised to see the beast's transformation.

The bone dragon, who looked like the skeletal fra of the beast, now resembled a full-fledged, living dragon.

Of course, it wasn't that Netherius had brought life back to the beast. Instead, he molded and hardened bones to give it a more resistant body—similar to how he created the bone golems.

The necromancer even recreated the dragon's scales with the bones, which were sturdier than a standard dragon scale.

As the massive beast extended its newly created wings, a wave of necrotic energy washed over the city's district, followed by the monster breathing out a beam of fire so bright that it resembled lightning instead.

Asphodel gripped her relic's hilt and began thrusting it forward once again. However, her ranged attacks didn't have the sa effect on the dragon as it did before its transformation.

When her waves of red energy crashed against the dragon's body, they bounced off and dissipated into thin air, not even making the monster flinch from the attack.

Still, the vampire mother simply studied the monster and halted her attacks, knowing that she would have to use a lot more power if she wanted to make a dent in its bony scales.

While Asphodel flew near the dragon and tried attacking Netherius on top of it, she caught the monster's attention and made him face away from Dante, who was casting his own spell to counter it.

At the top of a building that was crumbling down, Dante bit his right thumb and pressed on the wound, letting a drop of his blood land on the ground, generating a glowing, red pentagram.

"I never thought I would have to summon this guy into this world…" Dante muttered to himself, seemingly annoyed at his own spell.

As black strands of lightning began to appear around the pentagram, the umbra released from the summoning spell beca heavier than the necrotic energy surrounding them.

Netherius turned around as soon as he felt the fluctuation, prompting the dragon to turn its head towards the warlock.

From the shadows that twirled and revolved around the pentagram, the figure of a tall, bulky man began to form. When his body fully materialized, his appearance beca much clearer.

The man had long, disheveled hair that resembled a lion's mane. He also had two large, pointy horns on his head and wore nothing but boots and a thick, red loincloth.

His muscular body seed to be partially covered with a layer of red dragon scales, coating his arms completely along with the sides of his torso and neck.

Right when he appeared, the man stretched his neck and looked around at the sight before him with a hint of confusion.

"Hellslayer… Where are we?" The man asked, gazing at the warlock standing next to him.

"That isn't important right now. I need you to take care of that," Dante replied, pointing at the massive dragon in the sky.

The mysterious man switched his gaze toward the monster and clenched his teeth with a frown, feeling disgusted when he noticed the intricate work the necromancer had done with its body.

"Probably, yes…" The man replied.

"That's not good enough. You better destroy that thing," Dante continued, scolding the man who seed much taller and bigger than him.

From the rooftop of a building slightly near the battle, Tanya and Dirk took the best movie shots of their lives as they captured the dragon destroying the city and transforming.

When the reporter noticed Dante standing beside a mysterious man, Tanya instantly asked Dirk to record them.

"Where did that guy co from!?" Tanya pondered, looking at the cara mini-screen to zoom in and better detail the burly man.

Suddenly, the reporter clenched her fist with excitent when she saw dragon wings extruding from the man's back, and with a swift flap, he was already hundreds of ters up in the sky.

Hovering close to the man with dragon features, Dante stared at the necromancer riding his monster and sharpened his gaze.

"Now!" Dante shouted.

In the blink of an eye, both he and his summoned companion flew straight toward Netherius, prompting the bone dragon to charge another breath blast.

Still, before it could release it, the mysterious man caught up with it, transford his arm into a large claw, struck the dragon's face, and halted it from unleashing the destructive attack.

At the sa ti, Dante had gone straight for Netherius, and while the necromancer was prepared to counter the warlock's magic, he was surprised when Dante decided to kick him off his undead beast instead.

While falling, bone wings extruded from Netherius' back. Although he seed unbothered at first, his expression quickly changed to shock when Asphodel struck his arm with her relic from afar.

"You bitch…" the necromancer muttered, quickly regenerating his lost limb.

Relishing the opportunity, Dante crashed down on the Netherius and hamred his back with both hands, forcing him to slam against the ground.

Rising from the debris of the destroyed street, Netherius chuckled with an almost maniacal laugh as his body regenerated all injuries.

Dante hovered down to the ground and stood no less than five ters away from the necromancer, snapping his neck to the sides before raising his guard with the MMA stance that gan had taught him.

"You changed your fighting style…" Netherius comnted with a smirk.

"This is more appropriate for this world," Dante replied.

'Besides, my spells would barely make a dent with all this necrotic energy around us…' He thought.

A battle between mages of the sa level could have many different variables that affect their encounter.

If the two of them had been fighting in hell, then Dante would have had an overwhelming advantage over his opponent. However, they were deep inside the necropolis, wholly surrounded by necrotic energy.

Netherius clearly had the upper hand in terms of magic power, so not many of Dante's spells would do any significant damage. Still, if he coated his physical attacks with umbra, then he would have an easier ti striking the necromancer.
