After gan found the injured Irina inside the destroyed office, the vampire stated that she could definitely kill Radeon if she drank so blood to power her up.
When the vampire clan beca friends with the Jade Dragons, many of them wondered if they had to drink blood to stay alive. However, that wasn't the case.
For vampires, human blood was like a drug that would drastically increase their physical and magical strength, and the duration of the effect would depend on how much blood they drank.
Drinking too much blood could turn a vampire into a monster they called the "Sanguines," which would disfigure their entire bodies until they weren't recognizable anymore.
Moreover, vampires weren't compatible with everyone's blood, and Asphodel gave her children an example by stating that only she and Balthazar would be able to drink the blood of soone such as Dante.
When the other vampires asked for the reason, Asphodel explained that Dante had changed the composition of his blood with the flaming blood of hell, and drinking that as a lower-ranked vampire could kill them or make them extrely ill.
gan was aware of all this information, and seeing that she was Irina's only option, she agreed to have her drink so of her blood, prompting the brunette to approach her and kneel down before her.
"Wait… Are you sure?" Irina pondered, halting gan from getting closer.
"Didn't you suggest this plan?" gan replied with another question.
"Yes, but I wasn't sure you would agree so quickly!" Irina replied, seemingly embarrassed.
"Well, go ahead. Lindsey is on her own," gan continued, urging the vampire to drink her blood with haste.
"Right… *ahem* It's my first ti, so I'll try to be gentle," Irina muttered, softly placing both of her hands on the brunette's shoulders.
gan felt Irina's breath on her neck, followed by a strong nip that made her flinch slightly, feeling the vampire's fangs digging into her skin.
After a few seconds of utter silence, with the only sound coming from the battle outside the office, gan pondered if it was enough, prompting Irina to remove her fangs from her neck, leaving a small trail of blood on it.
"How do you feel?" gan asked.
"I… Nghh!" Irina tried to reply as she wiped the blood from her mouth but was cut off when she felt intense chest pain.
"What's wrong!?" gan continued asking, getting a bit more nervous about the vampire's health.
"Y-your blood is really strong… Nghh!!" Irina replied, contorting her body in pain.
gan started to ponder why her blood was having such an effect on Irina, considering that she was a simple human.
"It burns…!" Irina loudly said, giving the brunette a clue on what was happening.
Since gan had made a contract with Dante to be able to control umbra, she had to ingest an orb that was fused with so of his blood, which was the one person whom Irina shouldn't have drunk blood from.
While gan's own blood diluted so of it and made the side effects a bit less harsh on Irina, she still felt like her organs were being ripped apart from the inside.
"Nghh, go! I'll get my body back in shape in no ti…" Irina said, knowing that Lindsey was fighting Radeon on her own.
The brunette was still worried about the vampire sentinel, but she trusted her words and ran to the hole in the office wall, where she spotted Radeon chasing Lindsey, destroying everything in his path.
After gan jumped down and rushed to support Lindsey, Irina kept struggling with the blood she had ingested.
She had heard from other vampires that the boost in strength ca almost imdiately after drinking blood, but all she could feel was excruciating pain.
"I want to help…" Irina muttered to herself with her teeth clenched.
"I want to beco stronger—stronger like them…" she continued, closing her eyes as she started to lose consciousness.
A few seconds after slumping her head down, Irina woke up with a loud gasp and took a deep breath, feeling like her body had been 'zapped' back to life.
As she slowly stood up, she noticed that her wounds had mysteriously healed, and she wondered if it was an effect of the blood.
Slowly walking to the edge of the office where the hole was, she looked outside and saw gan and Lindsey fighting Radeon, exchanging blows and flinging each other against different structures.
At that mont, Irina felt a surge of energy from within her. She knew that the strange energy wasn't hers, but it didn't feel intrusive or corruptive. Instead, Irina felt better than ever.
When Radeon managed to catch Lindsey after she fell on her rear, the Death Knight raised his weapon and prepared himself to execute the blonde.
gan stood before her and stopped Radeon's strike with her dagger, struggling against his unnatural physical strength.
*Tch* 'My dagger is going to break!' gan thought, holding back the bone katana.
Suddenly, the weight on her shoulders felt much lighter, and when gan looked up, she noticed that Radeon was missing an arm as the Death Knight stepped away with haste.
"What the hell happened…?" gan pondered.
"Umm, g?" Lindsey beckoned the brunette from behind, asking her to look to her side.
None of them noticed Irina's presence until then, who stood a few ters away from her companions, holding Radeon's severed arm in her hands.
Moreover, Irina looked different than before. Her hair was completely down, and her eyes were fully glowing red. She had a sowhat evil smile on her face, and her fangs seed to have grown out of her mouth.
"Irina…? Are you okay?" gan asked, making sure that the vampire was still on their side.
Irina turned and gave the two won a gentle smile. "Let us finish this fucker," she said with a commanding tone that made gan smirk with relief and satisfaction.
'She looks a bit different, but she is definitely still Irina…' gan thought, confidently grasping her dagger and planting her feet firmly on the ground.
