After gan quickly evacuated the necropolis with Dante's unconscious body, she skipped going back to the NSS checkpoint and ordered the helicopter to pick them up at a different area.

The handlers who had been watching the entire thing were worried for Dante and waited patiently for the helicopter to bring the group to safety.

The warlock was still alive, but he was in critical condition, and as soon as they arrived, he was taken by the Zeta Team's dical team to the infirmary in the laboratory.

Ira, who heard about what happened from linda, rushed to the infirmary to check on Dante, scoffing angrily at his stupidity.

Paige, who wanted to know exactly what was happening to the warlock, inquired with Ira and was told that Dante had been afflicted with a condition called "arcane resonance."

It was an illness that targeted people who tried to control a type of magic without the proper attunent or expertise.

While Dante clearly had an affinity for controlling umbra, he also had the ability to use mana, although it wasn't nearly at the sa level as his umbra control.

However, the energy that necromancers used didn't land in those categories, and when Dante transferred Lexia's soul into Sixteen's body, he was instantly afflicted by the arcane resonance.

"Honestly, it's impressive he didn't die. Transferring a soul to another body is quite advanced for a necromancer, so you can imagine how complicated it can be for a warlock…" Ira comnted as she kept inspecting Dante's unconscious body.

"Can it be cured?" Paige wondered, prompting the Golden Fox to nod affirmatively.

"I can make the cure, but it still might take a few weeks for him to wake up…" Ira said.

"Weeks!?" Camille and Paige exclaid in unison.

"I'll get my people to look for the ingredients I'll need. You should probably speak with her," Ira replied, pointing at the android, who stood on the side of the infirmary with a confused expression.

"Lexia!" Alexander could be heard in the hallway, his footsteps getting louder as he approached the room.

The Spring handler was huffing after running to the infirmary, instantly placing his eyes on the android, who looked up at him with wonder.

*Gasp!* The android gasped. "Brother…?" she asked.

Alexander bit his lips with apprehension as tears swelled up in his eyes, rolling down his cheeks as he vehently hugged his sister's new tallic body.

"Lexia… is it really you?" The handler said with a shaky tone.

"Y-yes… I'm Lexia—but I'm also Sixteen," she replied, seemingly confused about her own answer.

The handler couldn't stop hugging his sister, but her words caught Ira's attention, who approached the android with a curious face, holding her chin inquisitively.

"Huh… It seems Sixteen was developing her own emotions, and since Lexia's soul wasn't blank like Sami's, both of their personalities are fusing," Ira comnted.

"W-what? What does that an? Is Lexia going to be okay!?" Alexander wondered with panic.

"As long as the two of them accept themselves, there shouldn't be a reason for their fusion to go wrong…" Ira calmly replied.

Suddenly, Sami barged into the infirmary with her cheery attitude that was wholly out of place, wanting to see how Dante was holding up after hearing he had fallen unconscious.

However, when the hell-cyborg gazed at Lexia, her eyes widened with surprise, making her rush to her side.

"Sixteen, I can see umbra flowing from you!" Sami happily exclaid, knowing that it ant that the android had been given a soul.

"Uhh…" Lexia muttered under her breath.

Still, Sami didn't stop inspecting Lexia's body, touching her thighs, arms, and face in a complete invasion of her personal space.

"Wait a second…" Sami said, squinting and getting even closer to Lexia.

"Hmmm…" The hell-cyborg humd, switching her gaze from Alexander to Lexia back and forth.

"Why do you look so similar?" Sami pondered.

Ira was the only one in the room who understood what Sami ant, as the energy flowing from Lexia and Alexander was quite similar, which was common among family mbers.

When the Golden Fox revealed that Lexia's soul had been placed inside Sixteen's body, Sami looked confused for a mont.

"S-so… is she Lexia or Sixteen?" Sami hesitantly asked.

"Both," Ira calmly replied, but her answer didn't seem to satiate Sami's curiosity.

The Golden Fox elaborated and said that they should give Lexia so ti for her soul and her brain to settle as one. Still, she didn't know how long that could last as it was the first ti she had seen a human soul fused with an android.

"Right now, I'm more worried about Dante, to be honest. I'll go ahead and start working on the dicine," Ira continued, and before she could leave the infirmary, Paige tagged along with the Sacred Beast as she wanted to learn how to make said cure.

Asphodel and her children had gone to the north to help protect it, but Ira asked for the Vampire Mother to assist her in Dante's treatnt on the phone, and the vampire agreed without overthinking it.

Once everyone left the room, gan stayed with Dante, sitting beside the bed with a frown on her face.

"What the hell were you thinking…?" gan whispered, gently placing a hand on the warlock's cheek.

Rembering how the blood spilled from his eyes as he saved Lexia's soul made her clench her fist with anger.

"How selfless can you be? Dummy—take better care of yourself," gan continued, knowing full well that Dante couldn't hear her.

Before she knew it, gan tiredly yawned and lay next to Dante, placing a hand on his chest and falling into slumber.

A few minutes later, Zac arrived at the infirmary and abruptly opened the door with worry on his face, wanting to see the condition of his best friend.

However, when he saw gan peacefully sleeping beside him, he went completely silent and left the room, gently closing the door behind him so that it wouldn't make noise.
