At Zhao Yulu's ho.

Zhao Yulu was ho alone, Liu Yujuan had disappeared sowhere.

Zhao Yulu sat quietly on the sofa in the living room, not moving at all, her thoughts a mystery.

Ti passed unmarked until she picked up her cell phone next to her and called Han ngting.

The call connected quickly.

"ngting, I've resigned from Shengda Literature." Zhao Yulu said.

"What? You resigned? So what are your plans now?" Han ngting was sowhat surprised.

"ngting, you must know about what happened with Xu Yang, right?" Zhao Yulu asked.

"Yes, I know, your sister Yu Xin told ." Han ngting said.

"Do you think I'm materialistic, pathetic, and yet not deserving of sympathy?" Zhao Yulu asked again.

"Yulu, I only know the basics of your situation, I'm not clear on the details, so it's not appropriate for to comnt."

"As for whether I think you're materialistic, or pathetic, or deserving of sympathy, I can't really answer those questions directly."

"But I want to say that if Xu Yang had not beco a billionaire, if he were still just an ordinary low-level worker, nobody would say anything about your choice, and everyone would say you made the right decision."

"Or if you found a new boyfriend now, soone richer and kinder to you than Xu Yang, people would say that you made the right choice."

"Do you understand what I'm trying to say?"

After a brief silence, Han ngting offered these thoughts.

"ngting, I understand." Zhao Yulu nodded.

"You're not just calling to ask these questions, are you?" Han ngting asked.

"I've resigned from Shengda Literature, could you help get a job at Penguin?" Zhao Yulu asked.

"I'm the secretary of the board, and in principle, it wouldn't be a problem to get you a job as an ordinary employee at Penguin Group, but the competition there is fierce. Without exceptional ability, it's hard to stand out, and I don't recomnd you join Penguin Group," Han ngting said.

"All right." Zhao Yulu sounded disappointed.

She wasn't sure if Han ngting truly had her best interests at heart, or simply didn't want to arrange it for her.

After much thought, she felt her life's dilemma had to be resolved through Han ngting.

That's why she mustered the courage to make the call, asking straight out for Han ngting to arrange a job for her.

Her thinking was that with a connection to Han ngting at Penguin Group, promotions and raises might co easier.

Perhaps she was being too hopeful.

"Yulu, don't be discouraged. Penguin hasn't acquired Shengda Literature, but we're not giving up on the online literature sector."

"We are planning to acquire a certain online literature company soon, and this acquisition shouldn't take long."

"I will still be appointed as the president of the acquired online literature company."

"I will still need an assistant, and I hope you can take on that role. What do you think?"

Han ngting felt Zhao Yulu's breakup with Xu Yang demonstrated a lack of foresight, but such matters are often hard to articulate clearly.

She wouldn't hold a negative opinion of Zhao Yulu because of this.

Moreover, Zhao Yulu had once saved her life, and if she could lend a hand, she would.

A girl like Zhao Yulu deserved a better life.

"Sure, thank you, ngting." Zhao Yulu brightened up imdiately.

Initially, she felt there wasn't much hope left.

But unexpectedly, the situation took a turn for the better.

Penguin's acquisition of another online literature company would most likely involve the second or third largest in the field.

With Han ngting as president, and herself as Han ngting's assistant.

In fact, working at Shengda Literature is not much different.

"Don't ntion it, I look forward to seeing your growth, and I believe in you," Han ngting said with a smile.

"Okay, thank you, Ting sister," Zhao Yulu thanked her again.

"Yulu, I want to say a couple more things about you and Xu Yang," Han ngting said.

"Go ahead," Zhao Yulu replied.

"Xu Yang has already married your sister Yu Xin, and I can tell that they are very much in love, the kind that cannot be separated."

"What you need to do is not to regret or to wallow in self-pity, but to let go of the past, to not care about other people's opinions, and to live an exciting life of your own."

"When you clear the thorns and climb to a certain height in your career, those voices that laughed at you will disappear."

"Your original choice cannot be said to be wrong, even if it was, as long as you are successful, others will not say anything."

Han ngting felt it was necessary to give Zhao Yulu so encouragent, especially since Zhao Yulu would be her assistant in the future.

She didn't want Zhao Yulu's work to be affected by this matter later on.

"Ting sister, I used to dwell on this a lot, and every ti I thought about it, I would be full of regret."

"Having heard what you've said, I completely understand now. You're right, the past is the past, and I should learn to let it go."

"I should not live in regret, but look forward, as once I succeed, others will no longer have anything to say."

"Ting sister, thank you. You've helped out of a deadlock," Zhao Yulu said.

Hearing Han ngting's words, Zhao Yulu felt as if she had an epiphany.

Indeed, her relationship with Xu Yang was just an episode in her life.

There's no denying that breaking up with Xu Yang and seeing him succeed was an ironic situation for her.

Those who knew about it would laugh at her.

She was also affected by this incident, which was why she resigned from Shengda Literature today.

Every ti she thought about it, she would regret it.

She shouldn't be like this, as it does no good to continue in this way.

What she needed to do was to let go of the past and embrace life anew.

So what if she no longer had Xu Yang? With her own efforts, she could still lead a wonderful life.

Moreover, now with the help of Han ngting, who was like a noble person assisting her,

she might well beco a powerful woman.

By then, those mocking voices would disappear.

"It's good that you're receptive and have thought it through. Take a few days off to rest and get yourself in gear, because once we start, we'll be busy competing with Shengda Literature, the king of the cultural industry. The work will be quite hectic," Han ngting advised.

"Also, I tend to be very decisive and efficient at work, and I hope you can join in with the utmost energy and commitnt."

"As long as you perform well, my promise remains the sa: when I return to the head office, I will recomnd you to beco the president of the online literature company."

"This would be much better than entering the Penguin Group directly."

"The internal competition at Penguin Group is really fierce, far less pleasant than working at a subsidiary."

"Of course, if you excel in the president's position, it's not impossible to join Penguin's managent. That position would be on a different level."

"Alright, I have spoken a bit too much. Take a good rest for several days. As soon as things are settled on my end, I will contact you imdiately."

Han ngting urged and encouraged.

"Okay, Ting sister, I definitely won't let you down," Zhao Yulu promised earnestly.

Ending the call, Zhao Yulu's face broke into a smile again.

The opportunity had co back to her.
