“Soul… soul search?”

Ethan’s gaze sharpened as he exclaid in shock, “What did you do to my cat?”

(ノꐦ⊙曲ఠ)ノ

“Hehehe!”

The rag doll, hiding sowhere unknown, let out a strange laugh.

Listening to the sound, Ethan scanned his surroundings, trying to locate the rag doll.

But for so reason, he could clearly feel that the doll’s laughter was nearby, yet it also seed to co from all directions at once.

It was impossible to tell where it was coming from.

“You care so much about your cat. Then I’ll make sure to take really good care of it!”

The rag doll spoke again. This ti, its voice rang directly inside Ethan’s head, “Don’t worry! After I turn you into a cripple, I’ll kill your cat right in front of you, using the sa thod you used to kill my master! I’ll let you properly experience my pain!”

Whoosh!

The mont the rag doll finished speaking.

Ethan saw countless mirror shards shoot out from the fog, surrounding him completely.

Those shards kept circling above Ethan’s head. Every piece was sharp and angular, like countless blades, hanging right over him.

Ethan held the dragon bow in his hand, with a rich man arrow nocked. He hesitated, wavering the bow back and forth…

He had no idea which mirror shard he should aim at.

[“Don’t shoot!”]

With a kerosene lamp stuffed in its mouth and its body tied to the reins, the scarecrow panicked, [“If you fire that arrow and it gets reflected by the mirrors, it’ll turn into thousands upon thousands of arrows. You’ll get reflected into a hedgehog.”]

“That brutal?”

Ethan communicated with the scarecrow through his thoughts.

The scarecrow’s voice was trembling, [“That’s because you’ve never been tortured by this vicious doll! You have no idea how terrifying it really is!”]

“Then what happens if I don’t shoot?”

Ethan had no interest in listening to the scarecrow tell horror stories right now.

He simply glanced at the mirror shards above his head and asked the question.

[“You’ll be sliced into pieces by the mirror shards, or…”] The scarecrow paused, then continued in terror, [“Or your arms, legs, and third leg will be cut off, turning you into a helpless human stump. Then the doll will take you back and plant you in a jar to torture you.”]

“Plant in a jar. What kind of operation is that?”

Ethan licked his lips.

Hearing the scarecrow’s words, even his mouth felt dry with tension.

Although he and the scarecrow seed to have talked a lot, because it was ntal communication, it had actually only taken a second or two. The speed of thought exchange was far faster than spoken words.

[“It’s literally planting you, like farming!”]

The scarecrow’s voice trembled even harder when it ntioned the flesh fields, [“They put people one by one into jars, then dig a pit underneath. Roots will grow out of them. After so ti, they can be taken out of the jars and planted into the flesh fields.”]

[“After that, every so often, they’ll slice off a piece of at from the flesh field and feed it to the witch’s carnivorous pets."]

“Heh! Heh! Heh!”

Ethan let out a dry laugh, ‘A field full of humans planted in the ground?‘

‘That image is too beautiful. I dare not look.‘

“Die for !”

“Die!”

“I die…”

“Die…”

The rag doll suddenly roared.

The echoes instantly reverberated endlessly inside Ethan’s brain, like so kind of sonic magic attack. Ethan imdiately felt dizzy.

His hand shook. Without caring about aiming anymore, he released the safety and the rich man arrow was accidentally fired.

Whoosh!

The rich man arrow instantly struck a mirror shard.

Ethan’s eyes widened.

The scarecrow slapped its forehead and sighed, [“It’s over!”]

“Hehehe!”

At the exact mont Ethan accidentally fired the arrow, the rag doll once again laughed eerily inside Ethan’s mind, “I originally wanted to leave you with a complete corpse, but since you’re seeking your own death by ten thousand arrows piercing your heart, don’t bla .”

“These mirrors can reflect any attack, including arrows.”

“The arrow you fired will be returned to you thousands, tens of thousands of tis over! Hehehe!”

But just as the rich man arrow Ethan fired struck the first mirror shard.

The shard reflected the first rich man arrow. And just as the copied arrow in the mirror was about to break through space and shoot out…

Whoosh!

The rich man arrow began to split.

One beca ten, ten beca a hundred, a hundred beca a thousand.

As more arrows were reflected from the mirrors, the number of splits from the rich man arrow increased even more. And at the instant the mirror shards were shattered by the rich man arrows, they reflected even more copied arrows.

But the mirror shards would then be shattered again by the newly split rich man arrows.

And the new copied arrows didn’t even have ti to break through the mirror space before shattering along with the mirrors, then instantly copying into even more arrows.

In an instant, the sky and ground were filled with mirror shards, and filled with rich man arrows.

The splitting of those rich man arrows seed endless. At this mont, there were at least over a hundred thousand split arrows in midair, and the number was still increasing without limit as more mirror shards appeared.

Then the shattered mirror fragnts were shot into even smaller pieces.

Until the mirror shards turned into glass slivers, and finally were shot into powder…

Unable to reflect anything anymore.

∑(〟〇О〇)!?

“This rich man arrow is way too damn aweso!”

Ethan was completely dumbfounded.

He had originally thought that the so-called infinite splitting was just a gimmick.

Like the braised beef shown in instant noodle comrcials, which in reality is just a few booger-sized dried beef cubes. That kind of gimmick.

But who could have imagined that the infinite splitting of the rich man arrow was actually truly infinite splitting.

No matter how many pieces the mirror shattered into, the split arrows would split into that many arrows and always one more than you.

[“Lord, it’s there!”]

The scarecrow suddenly shouted. Ethan lowered his head and looked toward where the scarecrow was pointing, wanting to follow its finger to determine the direction, only to realize the scarecrow had no hands. There was only a limp white glove hanging there.

“Where? Say it clearly!”, Ethan frowned.

He didn’t want to miss the best chance to kill this doll!

[“Uh…”], The scarecrow seed to think for a mont about how to give directions. Quickly, it ca up with an idea, [“Nine o’clock direction. It’s at your nine o’clock!”]

“Nine o’clock, left!”

Ethan imdiately looked to the left. Sure enough, deep within the fog, sothing shiny flashed for a mont.

All the mirrors had already been blasted into powder by Ethan’s rich man arrows.

There couldn’t possibly be anything left that could reflect light.

So… the only thing that could still reflect light was the rag doll’s true body itself.
