Chapter 419 – Did You Get Their Permission?
For the period they have been friends they haven't parted ways or lost contact for three days not to ntion an entire month. Wherever Jasmine is, she always sticks along. Her job as Jasmine's executive assistant made things very easy for her to always be wherever Jasmine is.
This separation is the longest they have both experienced.
After she has hugged Jasmine for a while Catherine gave way to Evelyn. When it was Evelyn's turn, she refused to let go.
"I was also gone so didn't you guys miss too?" Jackson asked in a bid to let Evelyn release his woman.
Just like he guessed, Evelyn let go of Jasmine after he spoke.
"I can see it is only Jasmine you all see and this is very biased….,"
"You went missing for less than five hours so how could you compare yourself to our beloved girl whom we haven't seen or spoken to for a month?" Evelyn asked before she brought back her gaze to Jasmine.
"Yeah Jack, she has a point there. Also, we didn't even realise that you were out of the city until we called unlike Jasmine so there is no need to feel jealous," Steve supported as he and Jeff stood up to go welco the lady they have missed dearly.
"If you want us to welco you just like we are welcoming sister-in-law there it's easy. You just have to go missing for at least there months and you will see the grand manner we will welco you. Although I can't guarantee that sister-in-law will not break your legs after you returned," Jeff said playfully. His playful words earned murderous glares from Jasmine.
"Hey, are you trying to talk him into leaving your sister-in-law sad and heartbroken? How cruel of you to give him such a suggestion Pretty Boy," Jasmine, the drama queen faked a painful expression.
"Would you be happy if I advised my My Cat to leave you for six months without…,"
"Hey, sister-in-law I was just kidding. There is no need to act so hurt. I admit my wrong," Jeff said as he hurriedly hugged Jasmine in a bid to appease her. Everyone ended up laughing seeing how terrified Jeff was as a result of re words from Jasmine.
"Hahaha… I thought Young Master Darwin was incapable of feeling fear. I never knew you could get scared because of how gutsy you beca after Jasmine left. I guess you have t your match," Evelyn laughed at the scared Jeff who was still trying to coax Jasmine.
"You are damn right. The once fearless Jeffrey has t his match once again," Steve said also laughing at his friend who seems to be more interested in pleasing Jasmine than listening to their conversation.
"That's enough. Stop romancing my woman or I will be forced to break your hands," Jackson said beating Jeff's hands away.
"Romancing your woman?" Jeff asked as he stare at his friends face like he was a stranger.
"I have my woman too so why would you accuse of such a thing. I can see you have beco more stingy after sister-in-law returns…,"
"You can be stingy with your woman too. I won't complain to you," Jackson said without feeling any sense of sha. He lead his woman to the table where Elizabeth and Alfred were sitting watching their little drama.
"Let's see whether you will still be so proud and stingy when I report you to sister-in-law…,"
"Jeff, I can see you have the habit of making everyone knows that Jasmine is your best friend's woman but I advise that you know when to and not to say it," Elizabeth said in a calm tone. Her words caught everyone's attention.
"And what is wrong with addressing her like that. She doesn't have a problem with that…,"
"Sa here. I don't have a problem with that but I can't say the sa about my dad who almost sew up Jackson's mouth for addressing him and my mum as father-in-law and mother-in-law," Elizabeth exaggerated. Everyone quickly took their seat ready to listen to the entire story.
"What!" Jeff asked in shock. The only people who knew that she exaggerated her words were Alfred, Jasmine and Jackson but they didn't say anything.
"Yeah, that is why I am advising you because I can't fathom what my dad will do to you if he heard you call his beloved daughter sister-in-law when she isn't married," Elizabeth said in a ek tone.
"Jasmine, you only told us that you and Jackson had other appointnts but you never told us that you wanted to introduce him to your parents. So how did the introduction go?" Catherine asked inquisitively.
"Did you get their permission?" Jeff asked not able to hide how curious he is to know what happened back in Jasmine's parents ho.
"Get their permission? Don't even go there. You should be happy your best friend ca back intact and not with a broken leg or arm," Jasmine exaggerated sounding upset when she recalled how her father treated Jackson.
"Was it that serious?" Evelyn asked. Out of everyone sitting there, she was the only one who didn't know how exactly Mr Avans real temperant is.
"It wasn't that serious. Sister-in-law is just exaggerating to scare all of you. My father-in-law is not that scary…,"
"I guess you are the one who thinks of him that way," Jasmine cut short Alfred before he could defend his father-in-law.
"Guys, tell us what exactly happened there. I am dying to know every single thing that occurred," Evelyn said in an excitent-filled tone.
"I will tell you guys about it," Jackson obliged to narrate what happened to everyone. The instant he began telling the story, the waiter arrived with the nus and this made Jackson temporarily pause his storytelling.
He resud again after the waiter had left. Jackson spent about fifteen minutes relaying everything that happened in detail to everyone.
In the end, so people ended up laughing at Jackson while the others pitied him.
