"Jack hasn't contacted us since the incident went viral. Jeff and I have tried contacting him so many tis but his line isn't going through. We have also tried to visit him in the company when we learned that he was trapped in the office because of the reporters but we couldn't get in...," Steve trailed as he leaned his back against the executive chair.
"But Jasmine where did you hear the news about his dismissal from his current position? Did Jack tell you about it?" Steve asked curiously.
"No, which is why I want to ask you for a favour," Jasmine said not answering the first part of his sentence.
"You want to check up on him and confirm whether the news is true right?" Steve who could guess the lady's thoughts asked to confirm whether his guess was correct.
"Yes, I am so worried about him. He hasn't answered any of my calls nor has he called or visit ho. It's ok if he is mad at , I am not asking for anything much. As long as I know how he is faring then I will be fine," Jasmine said in a sad tone.
Although she tried to sound casual about it, her voice still ca out sad.
"Jasmine there is no need to feel sad about all these. Although I don't know what exactly happened in those pictures and neither do I know anything about your ex-boyfriend, I know you... No, I an we know you very well," Steve said in a serious tone.
"We know how much you love Jack and what you would and would not do to him. I know you would never hurt Jack in any way. I trust you and I am sure Jack and the others trust you too so stop beating yourself over the pictures that got leaked," Steve said seriously.
Yes, he was surprised and a little doubtful when he saw the pictures of Jasmine with her ex-boyfriend acting so close but when he thought about the lady he has known for over six months and what she is capable of doing. He knew she would never do what the pictures and others were speculating.
"Thank you so much for trusting , Steve. Your words an a lot to ," Jasmine said.
She felt so happy to know that apart from Catherine there is soone else out there who trust her unconditionally.
"I and Jeff will go check up on him right now. I will tell you everything that transpired between us. Whether Jack is fine or not, I will let you know," Steve assured in a firm tone. He disconnected the call when Jasmine had nothing else to say.
While waiting for Steve's news, Jasmine used that opportunity to freshen up and get dressed.
Ten minutes after she finished dressing up, her cell phone rang. Jasmine answered the call without wasting a minute.
"Hello, so how is he doing? Has he eaten? Is he taking care of himself?" Jasmine asked without waiting for Steve to talk.
"Jeff and I just left his company after sneaking in to avoid being spotted by reporters. The news about his dismissal is really true but Jack said he is working on it," Steve relayed in a ek tone.
So Jane was right all along. Steve must be lying so as not to make worried.
Jasmine thought as she leaned her back against the couch she was sitting on. She forgot that Steve was waiting for her response.
"Although the problem at hand is serious but not enough for the board mbers to want Jack out of his position. I believe that soone powerful must have instigated the board mbers to take action against Jack," Steve told her what is on his mind.
"Is he doing ok?" Jasmine did not pursue the other case further.
"Max said he hasn't had a wink of sleep since the day the leak went viral. He doesn't eat...,"
"What the heck is he doing? Doesn't he know that he will fall sick if he starves himself of sleep and food? He is not a machine for crying out loud," Jasmine talked as though it was Jackson she was talking to.
"We have told him to take care of himself a little more but you know how stubborn he is. He won't listen to anyone except you," Steve said honestly.
"I know of a way to make everything go back to normal so don't worry," Jasmine said in a serious tone.
"What do you an? What way is...,"
"I was busy when you called. I will disconnect the call now," Jasmine disconnected the call before Steve could find out what she was up to.
Lilian who didn't see Jasmine co out of her room the entire ti was very worried. She ca to the room to check up on Jasmine, she was surprised to see that the door was locked from within.
She tried knocking but there was no response. Since she found her behaviour weird she tried calling her boss but unfortunately, his line wasn't going through. She had no choice but to wait and hope that Jasmine will co out.
At lunch, she went upstairs to inform Jasmine that lunch was ready but she found out that the door was still locked.
"What the hell is going on?" Lilian muttered after her another futile attempt of making Jasmine open the door.
She was so relieved when she saw Catherine in the sitting room while climbing down the stairs. The happy lady hurried to et Catherine.
"Welco," Lilian said in a polite tone.
"Where is that friend of mine? Did she perhaps go out?" Catherine asked when she did not see Jasmine in the sitting room.
"She is in their room upstairs," Lilian replied in a ek tone.
"She is in their room when Jackson isn't around? That's weird of her," Catherine said as she head towards the stairs.
"Lunch is served. I tried telling her that but she wasn't responding. I guess she must be asleep," Lilian lied without batting an eyelid.
"She didn't eat last night neither did she have breakfast this morning. I am very worried about her....,"
"Don't worry, I will bring her to the dining in a few minutes," Catherine assured her before she resud walking again.

It's a new month and ti for goals but I don't feel like setting goals this month. The last two months goals were not reached so I feel discouraged to set any goals.
Although I didn't set any goals I promise that as long as we reached a certain number of GOLDEN TICKETS that makes happy, I will give a mass release.
Also, I promise that as long as we surpass last month number of privileged buyers and privileged chapters unlocked I will give a mass release of 12 chapters. Don't worry, this 12 chapters mass release is not related to GOLDEN TICKET I talked about earlier.
I have stated the conditions for mass release this February so what are you waiting for instead of buying privileged chapters and giving my book all your GOLDEN TICKETS?
