Jasmine turned to leave but Jane blocked her path.
"Why do you frequent here like this is your ho or your office that you could just co and go as you wish?" Jane asked harshly after making sure that the walkway was clear.
"And what is your problem with my coming here? Besides it's not as if I co here to see you so why does my presence here irks you...,"
"Do you think I love seeing your face? Your re face irritates not to ntion your presence so stop being proud like you are so celebrity," Jane said rudely.
"As if I love seeing your face too. If my face irritates you then yours disgust . Whenever I see your face I am reminded of the disgusting thing you almost did to my man...," Jasmine said as her expression turned to a disgusted one.
"Also I might not be a celebrity but the fact is that I am a lot more popular than you. That's the reality and I am sure it is hard for you to accept it just like you can't accept the fact that Ice Prince doesn't love you one bit," Jasmine said not sounding polite at all.
"That's not true. If you were never in the picture. If you didn't seduce him and take him to bed he would have married ...,"
"Those are words sore losers always use to justify their actions so I am not surprised that you sound like them," Jasmine said harshly to the annoyance of Jane.
"You...," Jane did not know the right words to get back at Jasmine.
"Also, don't think I have forgotten how you pathetically drugged my man and tried to rape him in his drugged state. I have evidence of what you did that night. I might not be a cold-hearted murderer like you but I know of a way to ruin your image and pull off that angelic mask you always put on," Jasmine threatened with a stern expression.
"Think twice before you go around plotting against because I am not that easy to kill," Jasmine said before she turned and walk away elegantly.
"Let's see whether you will still be so proud after my next plan works," Jane said with a clasped fist as she walks away in the opposite direction.
Entering Jackson's office Jasmine t him sitting in the wheelchair close to the glass walls which had one of the best views of the City.
She walked closer to where he sat ready to lash out at him. Her once angry expression soften seeing that he was in a trance. His expression depicts sadness.
Jasmine turned the wheelchair around and squatted in front of him.
"What happened? Didn't the eting go well? Did the foreign investors refuse to invest in your company's new project?" Jasmine asked in a worried tone. She raised her right hand and stroke his gloomy face.
"If they refused to invest in your project because they think it is lacking then it is their loss, not yours. You will find better investors who will love your projects and invest their entire fortune to see the project co into existence," Jasmine said in a ek tone when Jackson refused to utter a word.
"Don't be sad ok because it breaks my heart to see you sad?" Jasmine pulled closer and embrace him.
She pulled away when she heard giggling sounds.
"Why are you laughing...,"
"Because I was only pulling a prank on you. The eting and presentation was a complete success. The investors had signed a contract with us," Jackson relayed with smiles.
"If that is the case then why did you scare like that? Do you know how terrible I felt thinking the investors refused to invest in your new project?" Jasmine said frowning as she hits his chest gently to relieve her anger.
"Sorry that I made you worry hmm. I know I was wrong so forgive ," Jackson apologise seeing that she wasn't kidding this ti around.
"I know how hard you work to make sure that the presentation was a complete success. You worked so hard despite that you were very ill. I was so worried that all my man's efforts had gone down the drain...,"
"Miss Naughty, don't be sad anymore. I promise not to pull such a prank on you," Jackson promised. He pulled her closer and hug her.
"Is it a promise?" Jasmine asked as a spoiled kid would do.
"Yes, it's a promise," Jackson replied as he caress her back affectionately. Jasmine soon pulled out of his embrace.
"Let's go have lunch. I am sure you must be damn hungry since it's way past lunch," Jasmine said standing up to her feet.
"Because of my injuries, it would be inconvenient for us to eat out so how about we go have lunch at ho. I promise to make it up to you after I have recovered," Jackson suggested, his attention centred on her face.
"Ok, we will do like you said. I will use this opportunity to cook sothing palatable for you," Jasmine said beaming.
"Is it ok for you to get off work so early?" Jackson asked curiously.
"It's ok. I am not that busy anyway. I just need to call Cat and tell her that I won't be returning to the office so she won't be waiting for to return to the office," Jasmine said in a carefree tone. She went to stand at his back and push the wheelchair to the centre of the room.
Max ca into the office just in ti to see them about to leave. While he pushed the wheelchair Jasmine held Jackson's stuff.
Together they went downstairs where she parked her car. Max went back into the company after seeing his boss off.
That sa afternoon while Jasmine was busy preparing their al, her father was busy trying to make her relationship less bumpy.
Mr Avans sitting on the black couch stare at the two young people sitting at the opposite side of the table. The VIP restaurant room gave them the privacy they needed.
"Nicholas, don't think that I haven't learned about what you have been doing with my daughter after you returned. Sa with you, Samantha," The once quiet man said in a cold tone.
