"What happened to her?" Jackson asked curiously.
"She had heart disease and she needed a heart transplant. And when I learned about it I volunteered to donate my heart to her. After what happened I did not want to live on. And Ice Prince, guess what my father did when he learned about my decision?" Jasmine asked smiling.
"He locked you up or did he beg for your forgiveness?" Jackson let his imagination run wild.
"Lock up? That would have been a lesser punishnt for what I said," Jasmine replied.
"And did you say he asked for my forgiveness? The day my father begged anyone is the day heaven and earth will change places," Jasmine said seriously.
"Then what did he do if not these two things?" Jackson asked anxiously.
"What else if not to hit ? He would have beaten to death and also smashed my head with a golf stick had my grandma not co to my rescue. He was super furious. He kept telling that he warned about it," Jasmine concluded in a sad tone.
Jackson knew that she was pretending to be fine despite that she was sad within. If only he knew a way to make her pains go away, he would have gladly done it.
"I am sure that you must have resented your father and blad him for your failed marriage and everything," Jackson said in a ek tone.
"How did you know that?" Jasmine asked.
"My hatred for him rose to the peak because of the incident. We fell out completely. Since then I beca a thorn in his flesh. I never did whatever he said. I always ended up doing the opposite and the sa applies to when he said I should co work in the family's company," Jasmine said as she stare into space.
"Earlier it looked like you both have not seen each other for a long ti so what actually happened afterwards?" Jackson asked in a curious tone.
"The two of them did not feel remorseful for what they did especially that b*tch, she even dared to brag in front of after f*cking my man....," Jasmine said with gritted teeth.
"Her family and I were very close, her parents disowned her because they could not afford to offend my father. My father wanted to teach their two families a lesson and I am sure you understand what I an but I threatened to kill myself if he laid a hand on their families business...,"
"Of course I do. With the Avans power it will only take twenty-four hours to crush their companies," Jackson said.
He has witnessed the power of the Avans about three tis. Although it did not happen to him or his family he got to know how heartless Mr Avans was through these three incidences.
"Being very smart people the two knew that life in the country after offending the most powerful family would not be easy, so they both travelled out of the country. Since then I haven't seen them again," Jasmine said conclusively. Everywhere went quiet after she concluded her words.
"Why are you staring at like that without asking questions anymore? I am sure you must be dying to know whether his betrayal is the reason I beca the famous Great Seducer so why are you not asking that?" Jasmine asked as she drew closer to him.
"If you are afraid to ask then I will tell you that your guess is correct. I beca a vengeful lady after I got betrayed by the man I loved and my best friend that I have known for over ten years. I was bitter so I vouched to break the heart of n and free those who are being wronged in their relationship just like I was wronged and betrayed," Jasmine said with all honesty.
"I know that you might think that I went overboard with this but I don't care about what others think about or my decision because they were not in my shoes. They were not the ones who experienced what I did. That was the only way I could think of to stay alive and yeah I did it," Jasmine said firmly.
"I did have a question but that wasn't my question and no matter what others say I would never judge you because I can imagine what you must have been through back then. The pain of getting betrayed by the two people you love the most is not easy to bear," Jackson said honestly. If he had the sa small mindset as others do then he wouldn't have even tried to pursue her.
"Then what were you so curious about that is more important about the reason I beca a Great Seducer as n popularly refer to as?" Jasmine asked curiously while staring at his face.
"Do you still love that jerk?" Jackson asked the question that has been on his mind since he learned that he was the one who betrayed her.
He could see the hesitation in her eyes when he asked her this question.
"It's ok if you still love him. I an he was your first love so it's understandable that you still love him. Actually, I kinda envy him...,"
"Why do you envy him?" Jasmine asked anxiously.
"Because you love him and despite all, he did he still has a place in your heart. He got to get your love which I have been trying so hard to earn," Jackson said in a sad tone.
"Who said I still love him and why would you envy that stupid jerk?" Jasmine asked as she looked away from his eyes.
