"Because I believe that we are destined and also because I must not fail. It's compulsory that I am must make you love . Do you want to do the reason?" Jackson asked in a serious tone.
"And what is the reason you are this determined?" Jasmine asked. She could not hide her inquisitiveness.
"Because...," Jackson trailed as he brought his mouth close to her ear.
"I cannot live without you," Jackson whispered into her ears. Everywhere went quiet after he made this confession. Up this close, he could hear her throbbing heart.
Her heart is beating this fast just because I got this close to her and she is denying that she does not have feelings for ? She is one funny lady.
Jackson thought grinning triumphantly.
"Stop acting cheesy. I can't believe you almost got there," Jasmine said before she abruptly got out of the car.
"I will send you the details about our date. Make sure not to stand up hmm," Jackson shouted after the lady who has begun walking away. Jasmine waved her hand in the air to show him that she has heard all he said. Jackson only left after seeing her enter her house.
After Jasmine showered and got ready to attend to so papers on her system, her cellphone rang.
"Cat, I can't believe you called when you are with Jeff? Did he let you call or did you call because you both have not started it yet," Jasmine asked in a teasing tone?
"Stop it already Jasmine. I called because I was worried about you and not to get teased by you," Catherine said.
"What were you so worried about, that I will cause trouble or were you afraid that I will take Ice Prince ho so that we could complete what we couldn't before father and the others interrupted it?" Jasmine asked playfully.
"Listening to how happy you sound, I guess I don't need to worry anymore. For you to sound so excited I guess I don't need to ask to know that you and Jackson have made up already," Catherine said.
"Yes, I apologised and he forgave . We are even going on a date tomorrow," Jasmine said excitedly.
"What! Have you told him that you like him back? Are you both a couple?" Catherine previously lying on the bed with Jeff asked curiously as she subconsciously sat up on the bed. Jeff was startled to see her act like this. He just laid down and stare at her.
"No, but he said he would court first. The decision of whether or not to be his woman will be made by afterwards. I did not agree but I also did not reject his proposal...,"
"Seeing how you had difficulty making that decision I guess you really want him to court you. Congratulations girlfriend on your road to finding happiness," Catherine said with smiles on her face.
"What are you saying, we are not a couple...,"
"Yes, but I am sure Jackson will make it work. Look forward to the surprises ahead because I am sure you have found yourself a super-naughty and stubborn boyfriend," Catherine said.
"I will leave now, I was in the middle of sothing," Catherine quickly disconnected the call. Catherine turned to face her boyfriend whose upper body was bare.
"So are they together now?" Jeff asked curiously as he stare at her glowing face.
"Yes, but the problem is that Jasmine keeps denying her feelings for Jackson. I am sure that Jackson will make her open up her heart to him," Catherine said as she laid back down on his body.
"I am glad that JK is finally getting what he wants. For his patience and efforts he really deserves her," Jeff said as he wrapped his hands around her.
"So honey let's continue with what we were doing before the interruption," Jeff said as he wraps his hands around her neck. He kissed her tenderly.
"Jeff, dad is coming in a week. I might not have a lot of ti to hang out with you. I won't even be able to stay over at your place or take you to my apartnt. He is a loving father but also very strict. He will not let get close to just any man...,"
"And I am sure that he is going to love ," Jeff said confidently. He made to kiss her again but Catherine placed her index finger on his lips and push his head backwards.
"Don't be too confident because I am sure he is gonna test you. He told that if ever I get into any relationship the man must get his approval...,"
"And I will do that, don't worry. For you I can do anything," Jeff said seriously. When he saw that she did not have anything else to say he removed her finger still on his lips and continue from where she interrupted him. The two made love to each other until late into the night.
The next day Jasmine and the others woke up and went about their stuff just like they have always done. About two hours to Jasmine and Jackson's appointnt, Jasmine received a phone call from Kai.
"I have been calling you for a while now but your line wasn't going through," Jasmine said on answering the call.
"I went back to the base camp after the press conference. I have been very busy since then. I returned last night," Kai said in a calm tone.
"That is great. Can we et up? I have sothing to tell you and I don't think it is appropriate for to say it over the phone," Jasmine replied. She stare at her wristwatch to see how much ti she had until her date with Jackson.
Good, I still have about two hours more. My eting with Kai will be brief so I am sure that I will not arrive late to the date. Ice Prince will nag if I do that.
Jasmine thought as a smile appear on her face. She was so distracted that she did not see Catherine enter her office.
