"If anyone should be punished for what happened earlier it should be ," Jackson said seriously but he did not let go of his hand.

"She tried to warn earlier about your arrival and also try to stop from doing what might implicate her but I did not listen. I was the one who initiated everything so punish if you must punish soone," Jackson said as he lets go of his hand finally. Mrs Avans who did not understand what was going on watch everything with keen interest.

"How dare you have the guts to tell all that. How dare you set foot in my house after the embarrassnt you gave and my family?" Mr Avans said as he made to slap Jackson but Jasmine who saw this coming stepped to the front to shield Jackson.

"You can hit all you want, I will tolerate it but don't you touch him because I will never forgive you if you do that," Jasmine said as she stare at his hand descending on her face.

"I will loathe you more than I already did if you hit the man I love," Jasmine declared to the shock of everyone in the room. The stunned Mr Avans halted when he heard his daughter threats. Even her mother and Jackson were not saved from the shock.

Jackson lowered his gaze and stare at the lady who just made a bold declaration in front of her parents.

Is she saying the truth or is she playing a ga with ?

Jackson thought his gaze glued on her stern expression.

"Who did you say he is?" Mr Avans said thinking that maybe he misheard what she said.

"He is the man I love father. I have wanted to tell you this for a long ti now but you never gave the chance to utter a word. You always shut up after you finished passing your orders," Jasmine said seriously to the point that Jackson could not differentiate whether she was lying or telling the truth.

"Are you saying that you love him?" Mrs Avans asked in disbelief.

"Yes, mum," Jasmine replied firmly.

Mr Avans did not know what to say anymore. He just take a last glance at Jackson's face before he turned and walk away to the amazent of Jasmine who had expected her father to bring down brimstone.

"You are not allowed to leave the mansion until I said so," Mr Avans said when he was halfway through the staircase.

"But...," Mrs Avans stretched and held her hand, shaking her head as a signal for her not to utter a word. They all watched him until he disappeared.

"Entertain your guest. I will join your father upstairs," Mrs Avans said before she approached the stairs.

"Why are they all acting so strange," Jasmine mumbled after her mother was gone.

"I am sorry that you had to go through this. If I had known that you had important visitors I wouldn't have insisted on staying back then," Jackson apologised sincerely. Jasmine turned and stare at him.

"Let's go out and talk," Jasmine knowing that so of the maids might be eavesdropping said as she pulled him by the hand out of the house. True to her guess so maids were indeed eavesdropping because the mont she left, they ca out of their hiding place.

"What just happened a while ago? Can soone explain because I couldn't understand what was happening earlier," The maid who was known as the number one gossip in the mansion asked the other maids?

After realising that they were far away from where the guards stood, Jasmine halted.

"Does it hurt?" Jackson asked out of concern when his eyes t her reddened cheeks. He slowly lifts her chin and caressed her bruised cheeks.

"I am sorry you got hit because of ," Jackson said. His tone showed that he felt even more hurt to see her in pain.

"Why are you sorry when I am the one who used you earlier," Jasmine said as she brushed his hand away from her face. What they both did not know was that her parents were staring at them through their windows.

"Earlier, when?" Jackson asked not understanding what she ant.

"From the beginning, I was using you. I knew that my father, Kai and the other visitors were gonna arrive any mont from when you entered but I deliberately made that scene looked like we were making out when that was not true...," Jasmine trailed as she stare at his face.

Well, if it was about the earlier incident in her mansion after think on his way earlier he knew that she set him up.

"I also used you earlier when my father wanted to hit you. I don't love you. In fact, I have no ounce of love for you but I lied just to make him cancel my engagent," Jasmine said to the surprise of Jackson.

"You don't love ?" Jackson asked while staring into her eyeballs.

"Yes, I don't and I have told you to stop being so good to but you just wouldn't listen now look at how I have returned your goodness. An evil witch like does not deserve to be loved or be treated nicely...,"

"Are you saying that you don't have any strand of love for ? Your heart has never fluttered when you are with ?" Jackson asked once again.

"Is that all you care about...,"

"Just answer my question," Jackson said sternly.

"No, I have never felt anything for you," Jasmine said with a clenched fist. Seeing his painful expression Jasmine could feel her chest tightened.

"If that's the case then goodbye. Don't forget to apply ice on your face to get rid of the swells," Jackson said as he turned and walked back to where he parked his car. Due to so unknown reason Jasmine could not move or utter a word. She only stood there and stare at his departing back.
