"Will we change like this in the future?"

"Probably..."

The voices of the six gradually faded toward the distant sea.

As the ship rose, Tilan and the others arrived at the fourth layer of the labyrinth: Cleid, the Royal City. Its architecture was magnificent, dominating most of the labyrinth's floor space.

Walking through the Royal City, the towering walls and buildings blocked out the sky. The streets were bustling with people dressed in luxurious robes, and even adventurers (players) were noticeably more nurous.

"It's so lively here, and there are so many street snacks."

"Most of the fourth layer is occupied by the Royal City. It seems peaceful here, without any monster nests."

"I wonder what we'll encounter this ti."

Tilan and the others looked curiously at the various shops and pedestrians along the streets, occasionally stopping to admire things or buy items of interest.

"Have you heard? The Royal City has started selecting new Dragon Knights. It's said that whoever wins the championship in the battles will have the chance to form a contract with a dragon."

"The Royal Family and the Dragon Race established an alliance. Every ten years, three dragons who are eligible for contracts are sent to the Royal Capital. If soone can gain their recognition, they can beco a Dragon Knight."

"Dragon Knight is one of the top-tier professions, imnsely powerful, with dragons as companions and allies."

"Even in battle against the Demon King, they can match him."

"This is the ultimate honor for adventurers."

Sitting in a tavern within the Royal City, Tilan and the others heard more rumors about Dragon Knights.

"So, if we want to clear this ga, it's best to obtain a top-tier profession, and now there's an opportunity."

"Right, three of our team mbers are lee combatants, and they can all potentially beco Dragon Knights."

"Let's go for it. Since we're here, there's no reason not to try."

"Flying on a dragon—what a sight and feeling that would be."

"Dragon Knights disappeared in the Third Era in reality; who would've thought we could experience it now?"

"Is only one person allowed to register per team?"

"Tilan wasn't too interested, so it's up to Shui Yanqing and Ores now."

"Let's start preparing."

...

The next day, the Royal City's Combat Arena held a grand knight duel. On the sandy ground, participants fought fiercely, eliminating one another in rounds.

"The much-anticipated finals are about to begin, featuring the Knight of Champions and favorite to win—Akmon—against our elegant and beautiful Princess Knight—Ores!"

The audience in the Combat Arena erupted in thunderous cheers as the two entered the stage.

The duel comnced swiftly. Akmon, swinging a Greatsword with both hands, and Ores, wielding a dual-bladed Great Axe, clashed repeatedly in the arena, their weapons stirring powerful gusts with each sweep.

Initially, Ores was at a disadvantage, seeming constrained in her movents. As the battle progressed, she grew increasingly focused, gradually leveling the fight, and eventually gained firm control over the match. With a mighty swing of her axe, her opponent was forced to parry horizontally with his sword.

"Submit to !" she demanded as radiant light burst from the axe blade, pressing her opponent down step by step until he fell to his knees.

"A victor is born! Our honorable and courageous Ores! She will ride atop a giant dragon to beco the kingdom's mightiest guardian!"

"Soar high, silver-haired princess! Your radiance today will surely shine as brightly as the ice crystals in the heavens!"

Clad in a magnificent cape and armor, wielding her axe in one hand, the young woman sat astride a silver giant dragon. Her image was seen by all of the Royal City's residents, with countless cheers echoing through the air and vibrant fireworks blooming in celebration.
