'Snow Elk' Milensa, Sixth Era 1168-1242, this was 48 years ago, her promotional performance on Shining Indium Star Domain's Ice Crystal-α Star.
In order to improve the economy of her hotown, the Shining Indium Star Domain, 'Snow Elk' Milensa invited several ga-corporations to extract underground minerals on Ice Crystal-α Star and develop downstream industries. This performance was part of her promotional efforts to support these corporations.
During the performance, Milensa promised and painted a vision of a wonderful future, which generated expectations and goodwill among many live audience mbers as well as residents who watched the broadcast. This paved the way for large-scale mining operations and, unusually, led to nearly a million locals being relocated to other cities.
In the following years, gigantic machinery pierced through the thick mantle, excavating special crystalline minerals rolling within the underground magma. Up to this point, the venture seed promising. However, as the mining continued, the planet's environnt began to change. The dissipating heat caused the once ice-covered planet to gradually warm. The lting of many glaciers led to rising sea levels and climate changes.
Had the process continued, transforming this cold planet into a warm one might have been a positive outco. Milensa had also anticipated such situations when consulting experts earlier.
Unfortunately, the drastic environntal changes made it difficult for many residents to adapt, as several cities had been built atop massive ice layers. If the ice lted, countless properties would be wiped out. Such losses are hard to reconcile with re words or emotional appeals.
Thus, increasingly fervent opposition erupted among the populace. 'Snow Elk' Milensa's reputation deteriorated sharply, forcing her to halt the mineral extraction projects of the ga-corporations. After such turmoil, the Shining Indium Star Domain failed to establish a new economic pillar, while its past tourism industry suffered severe damages, leaving the region even poorer.
For the remainder of her life, she never returned to her hotown, eventually passing away in the Central Star Domain amidst curses and depression.
The visuals dimd, and the Phantom Crystal Mist within the imrsion cabin dissipated. Six individuals gradually woke from the daze of the cinematic experience.
Exiting the cabin, Idrylia led the six to a nearby small classroom.
"After reviewing the stories of various songstresses, what are your thoughts?"
"One can say that their intentions were good, but the outcos varied drastically. A good starting point doesn't justify acting recklessly. We hold significant power in our hands, capable of influencing many people, but if misused, it can lead to severe backlash."
"If it weren't for Fanny's immature impulsiveness, she wouldn't have died on Thorn Wood-Σ, nor would the conflict between both sides have beco irreconcilable."
"Milensa's proposed project, if carried through to the end, might have turned Ice Crystal-α into a climate-friendly, economically stable planet. But the interim disruption could last an entire generation, which is not sothing everyone can endure or comprehend."
"Exactly, you are songstresses. You may represent and influence imnse public opinion to drive changes, but the ultimate outcos cannot be dictated by impulsive emotions."
"The older I grow, the more I realize how much there is to consider. Trying to cover up problems with montary slogans is simply impossible."
"Many assu that Lady Isenisha relied solely on slogans and the innate talent of songstresses to persuade others. They overlook how much effort she put in behind the scenes to resolve conflicts and establish shared understandings. If the Federation had depended entirely on her personal charisma, it would've collapsed upon her passing."
"A sustainable, self-consistent system is the foundation of everything."
"While the changes brought about by singing can help us overco barriers and obstacles, whether we can persist depends on your wisdom and abilities as songstresses."
"That's it for today's lesson. I hope you take the ti to reflect deeply on what you learned today once you return."
