His words flowed smoothly and tactfully; even Tilan could find no significant fault with them. A normal girl might have actually been persuaded by such a suave young master's humble request.
"I don't have ti, I'm usually busy with my studies," Tilan responded softly.
"If you're looking for soone to understand preferences, there are many professional teams for that. You don't need an amateur student like to guide you."
"Besides, why must it be ? I'm actually soone who dislikes trouble and am not fond of persistent invitations like this."
"This..."
Seeing the girl straightforwardly pointing out his intentions, Milowan was at a loss for a few seconds. After all, such a "frank" response was sothing he had never encountered before.
"Actually, it's because I have a good impression of Miss Dantalion. It's not just because of your beauty, but also your unique and refined temperant, which is just what 'Huaisan Purple' needs in a spokesperson," he said, finally revealing part of his reasoning without pretense.
"So that's what it is," Tilan said with a hint of amusent as she regarded the purple-haired young man opposite her. So now he was telling the truth.
"I know Mr. Milowan has many expectations, but I really can't accept. There are many reasons for this, and we'll leave it at that for today. Thank you for your invitation," she said.
Having finished speaking, she stood up, ready to leave.
Seeing the girl of his dreams about to walk away, Milowan also panicked, standing up and trying to reach out to pull her back.
However, his hand had hardly stretched out before it was blocked by a cat-eared waitress standing to the side.
At this, Milowan frowned, feeling annoyed by the waitress for the first ti.
With a flick of his wrist, Milowan waved the waitress's hand away and called out to the other subordinates resting at the table behind him.
"Go, catch up with that girl, quickly!" He alone was unlikely to catch up with the light-footed girl, but his subordinates included elite mbers of Sequence 5.
Hearing this order, two of them quickly rushed forward but had only taken a few steps before they bumped into a tall figure that had suddenly stepped into the aisle.
Like the hard gray iron, the collision with the figure's chest sent a rebounding discomfort throughout their bodies.
This was not an ordinary person. The two subordinates stepped back a few paces before they could clearly see the towering figure blocking their way. He had thick, black Bull Horns, twisted and curved, and his broad fingers slightly lifted as if they could easily crush their skulls.
"Aren't you watching where you're going?" The two thought the blocker was simply in the way by accident and prepared to push past the towering beastman to continue the chase for the girl heading toward the exit.
"I do see it."
The dull, resonant response ca from above their heads, as the Bull Horn Tribesman remained in their path, refusing to let them pass.
At that point, the two realized that he was doing it on purpose.
"Are you trying to play the hero, saving the damsel in distress? You don't even know that girl. Do you think she will be grateful to you?" The two frowned and then tried to bypass the obstacle by leaping from the side.
"I don't seek gratitude, but I do know that I must block you here."
The Bull Horn Tribesman responded just like that, and not just him. When Milowan's subordinates tried to jump over from the side of the tables, several waitresses gathered, forming a line like a human wall, completely blocking the path Milowan would take to leave the establishnt.
"What is this!?" Now it was Milowan's turn to feel surprised and distressed.
Why were these waitresses blocking him? Didn't they know that he was the one with wealth and power? Why would they help that girl?
Soon, the situation inside the establishnt was noticed by the subordinates outside. They tried to burst in, but a group of tall beastn walked out from inside, one by one, looking unfriendly and powerful, all above Sequence 6, not comparable at all to the company employees who were generally between Sequences 4 and 5.
It was at this mont that Milowan realized sothing was wrong. Even a very common Transcendent of Sequence 6 would cost at least a hundred thousand Federation Coins to hire for personal service, not to ntion so of the elite figures among them.
So many high-sequence Transcendents couldn't be supported by the business and revenue of this establishnt alone. This he knew from his professional business instinct.
"Who exactly are you? Why are you blocking ?" He felt this might be so sort of conspiracy.
"Heh heh, knowing nothing and still trying to snatch soone on my turf, did you bother to find out where you are?"
A voice that carried both laziness and smugness ca from behind. Subsequently, the waiters and the tall beastn stepped aside, making way for the Songstress with purple cat ears to walk out leisurely.
Wearing a casual jacket today, she was slinging a tal guitar over her shoulder like a baseball bat, her eyes lifting at the corners as she looked down on the people before her.
"Hitting on girls, pestering pretty girls not to leave, such tactics are really despicable, aren't they? Why do you think you can do that just because you have an extraordinary status?
"Oh, is it because you've got sobody protecting you?" Ailu Kelu's gaze swept disdainfully over the people behind Milowan. To have such strength as bodyguards was really—
"Too weak," she said with a wave of her hand, the guitar swinging down and smashing the table in front of her into splinters, a show of brute force that imdiately intimidated those new to the 'Harp Crown' café.
Is this the true face of the Central Star Domain, so aggressive? Those present felt a creeping fear.
"Wait, wait, perhaps there's so misunderstanding here?" Milowan gestured.
"I was just sitting here with a girl I just t, ordered two drinks and had a short chat, so why treat us this way? I haven't offended you, have I?"
"This—" The corners of Ailu Kelu's eyes shifted.
