The dark golden revolving glass door swung open, and the girl with the beige handbag entered the restaurant. She had chestnut-gold, slightly curly long hair and wore a soft and smooth goose-yellow dress that gave her a floaty feel.
"Blanchi, over here~~" A classmate stood up nearby, calling the girl over.
"I'm coming." Blanchi answered cheerily and then walked briskly over. On the way, she accidentally bumped into a waiter.
"Sorry, sorry."
She bent over anxiously to apologize. The waiter turned his head, glanced at her continuously bowing figure and caught sight of the quite cheap handbag, a flicker of disdain flashing in his eyes. However, he didn't say much and just humd in acknowledgnt before walking away.
Blanchi sat down next to her classmate, putting her bag on the table. Seeing that everyone else had drinks in front of them, she quickly put the bag back down and hung it on the chair behind her.
"You're still as clumsy as ever." Her companion mocked with a laugh, then asked what she would like to drink. Afterward, they waved over a waiter to prepare sothing for Blanchi.
A few people continued to talk about the exams that had just finished not long ago, discussing their plans for the holidays.
"Everything in the Hemu Star Domain feels so outdated. I recently went to play at my aunt's ho in the Sharp-Snout Shark Star Domain, and their life is simply too fabulous. Not only are there all kinds of Transcendent air fish swimming around the streets, but there's also free drinks provided on the streets, and sotis you can even see mbers of the rmaid race. They're really beautiful and unique."
"Can't help it, my dad says that when it cos to university, it's best to go to an economically developed Star Domain." Another girl with dyed powder-blue hair repeatedly poked the crushed ice and fruit in her cup with a straw, complaining about the environnt within their Star Domain.
This place is located northwest in the Hemu Star Domain, in the Tooth Amaranth Stellar System, on the residential planet Tooth Amaranth Σ-2, with a permanent population of 3.7 billion. The economy is lagging, and although there are so large enterprises within the Star Domain, there are no giant corporations based here. The only thing worthy of ntion is the relative stability of the area.
"Blanchi, where have you been lately? Haven't seen you for half a month." A girl asked curiously.
Before Blanchi could respond, soone beside her interjected, "She must have been taking part in the entrance exams."
It's the graduation season now, and many universities within the Federation conduct assessnts for students wanting to enter. So even require students to visit the university's Star Domain to participate.
"Uh... sort of." Blanchi was about to explain what had happened to her during that ti when the waiter brought over the drink she had ordered.
"Thank you."
After taking her drink, by the ti Blanchi wanted to continue speaking, the conversation had already shifted to soone else.
"I've decided to apply to a university in the Sharp-Snout Shark Star Domain. Dad and aunt have already arranged for a teacher to tutor for a few days, which will greatly increase my chances of passing the admissions re-exam."
"Ah, that's way too good." The others said enviously. Although their grades weren't far apart, the reality was that only a few would end up at university.
"University tuition is just terrifying. I think I'll just start working instead. Looks like I'll start working next month."
"Where at? Can I join you?" Soone asked curiously.
"It's the 'Flash Radium Beverages' Western District 42 branch. Since my cousin works there, it wasn't hard for her to recomnd ."
"'Flash Radium Beverages' has a big na, they own one-fifth of the beverage industry in the Hemu Star Domain. The treatnt there must be really good."
"What about you?" The girls asked each other again. So said they would play for a few weeks before looking for work, others planned to go to another Star Domain for university, and so were preparing to take over their family's small shops and so on.
"Where are you planning to go, Blanchi?" Finally, soone asked her.
", uh, I'm planning to go to the Central Star Domain." She hesitated slightly before deciding to tell the truth.
"Really?"
Several people present were sowhat incredulous. After all, Blanchi's grades were only above average, and her family was of modest ans. Going to university in the Central Star Domain would be extrely expensive, costing at least 400,000 to 500,000 Federation Coins per year, not to ntion needing a university willing to take her.
"It's true. It's almost certain now." Blanchi twisted her fingers together, unsure of where to start.
"Alright then, let's assu it's true."
Though the words were spoken, the girl in the blue mini-skirt was clearly scornful. She thought Blanchi was lying, just to save face, since among the group she ca from a well-off family, yet she only dared to dream of attending a decently economic university like the Sharp-Snout Shark Star Domain. As for the Central Star Domain, even contemplating it was out of the question, that being a place reserved for the top-tier geniuses from each planet's division.
While they didn't expose Blanchi's claim on the spot, most there didn't really believe it.
"So which academy did you apply to?" Soone couldn't help but ask.
"This... The Golden Fla Flower Academy." After hesitating for a few seconds, Blanchi nad the institution that silenced everyone present.
The 'Golden Fla Flower' Isenisha, as the Pioneer of the Federation, the first Color Level Songstress, and the great figure who nad an entire era, naturally established the Rose Federation's premier university academy. It's a place out of reach for countless people.
"You're not joking, are you?" After a mont of silence, soone softly inquired.
