After leaving the residence of the Court of Judgnt, Tilan took a hover car away. Sparse drizzles floated in the sky, falling gently like silk.
Leaning against the car window, the transparent tallic glass reflected an indistinct visage. Looking at the familiar yet foreign reflection of herself, the young girl sighed softly, then shifted her gaze outside.
Bright blue neon lights from large screens flickered with figures, exceptionally brilliant against the night sky. Hover cars occasionally passed through the aerial tracks, heading into the distance.
Developnt is a process from simplicity to complexity. The pastoral idyll of early civilization now exists only in films and nostalgic mories. The proliferation of modes of production, the ergence of various industries, and the arrival of new environnts and new species, among other changes, rapidly complicated society far beyond what could be described in a few simple sentences.
When carrying simple and pure wishes from ideals to reality, many ideas in one's mind would lead to huge disappointnts and shatter.
Fingers slowly traced across the glass, the girl watched her own eyes blink back at her from the reflection.
She wondered how long she could maintain her current conviction, or perhaps, one day she would beco a stranger to her present self.
The hover car passed through a city spotted with lights, vanishing into the distance.
Three days later, in the Governor's space station at the outskirts of Jade Skirt, Tilan t with the current Governor of the Star Domain.
The spacious room was circular, with thick, clear windows all around that offered views of space and the planets. Besides Hexia and Governor Temachi, there were also two secretaries in attendance, along with four security personnel and two officials from the Court of Judgnt.
"Good afternoon, Governor." Hexia bowed first, then raised her head to take a closer look at the middle-aged man sitting on the sofa.
He had short black hair, slightly deep eye sockets, and was dressed in a gray-black suit. The cuffs and trousers were extra crisp and neat. His brows were furrowed slightly, and although he wasn't targeting anyone in particular, rely sitting there, he exuded an air of authority, indicative of soone accustod to being in a high position.
"Hello, Miss Hexia." He nodded briefly, then did not say much more.
Since it was Hexia who had requested the eting, it was she who took the initiative to speak.
"I've co because there are so matters for which I would like to ask for your assistance, Governor."
"Oh, let's hear them." Temachi responded neither in opposition nor approval, his tone steady, offering no insight into his feelings.
"It's regarding the recent apprehension of rebellion organization mbers, which has triggered several issues." Hexia suppressed her slight nervousness and then began to explain thodically.
"...If we don't make tangible changes to the environnt within the Star Domain and restore the economy, these events will continue to recur."
"I'm even more aware of these issues than you are." Governor Temachi betrayed no change in expression, neither disappointnt nor praise evident.
In his eyes, although the girl before him had a bright future, she was still too young. To him, her age of 17-18 was comparable to that of a kindergartener. He would not be surprised by a child's remarks, nor would he feel any astonishnt or shock.
"Thank you for your understanding, Governor. I also realize that rely articulating these problems will not bring about any change. That's why I've co here today, to convince you to motivate the Stellar Domain Official to take action, with powerful determination and an efficient model for driving change."
Upon hearing this, Temachi showed a slight change in his expression, as he reassessed Hexia.
"I think I know what you're thinking and wishing for. However, even as a Songstress, trying to advance these matters will be very difficult. As an elder, I would recomnd that you spend more ti exercising and learning during your high school years, and then go to the Central Star Domain for university. There, with your status as a Songstress, you can easily make contact with many influential figures, and in doing so, gradually learn how the Federal Governnt operates and gain the support of so power blocs."
"Once you're well-prepared and have the support and endorsent of the Central Council behind you, then return to the Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain. By then, if you've made a successful career as a Songstress, those young people who were your fans will slowly beco middle-ranked mbers of various walks of society, and they will beco supporters of your reform efforts. With various favorable conditions, that will be the ti to push for the changes you've described."
"Thank you for your cautionary advice, Governor." Hexia paused slightly, she neither sat down nor left, but remained standing in her place.
Thus, the ti passed quietly for a few seconds. During this interval, the others exchanged glances, sensing an odd and tense atmosphere, but no one interrupted the silence, waiting quietly instead.
"I know it may seem naive, but I don't wish to just wait until everything is in place before taking action." The young girl took a deep breath, lifted her gaze, and looked directly at the Governor opposite her.
"Preparation is endless, situations and contexts are always changing, and if we miss this opportunity now, any action taken later will only be more painful and difficult."
The struggle between Edith and Saint Yingo was still ongoing, and if she didn't intervene at this juncture, what the situation would be like years later was uncertain to Hexia. If she missed this chance, allowing the power group of Saint Yingo to adapt to the new circumstances and regain stability, action taken then would face greater resistance, and she would have an even harder ti finding suitable allies and supporters.
Faced with the girl's determination, Governor Temachi did not respond directly but signaled for the two secretaries by his side.
