On the third day of hosting Li Xun and his party, Tilan led them to the "Hat and Short Sword" club.
"President, good!"
As soon as they entered the training venue, club mbers greeted the black-haired girl walking in front of them by bowing deeply, their bows and clear greetings indicating a heartfelt respect rather than superficial formality.
"Good day to you all." The girl held a clipboard and nodded at them before the two trainees continued on to their practice.
Following Tilan, Li Xun's group repeatedly saw mbers greet her; wherever she went, greetings seed to spring up, with so people even saluting the girl a second ti.
"President Tilan, good!"
"President, good!"
"Senior Tilan, good!"
The reverberating greetings in the spacious training area were hard to ignore, and after responding several tis, Tilan also began to sense sothing amiss—why were these people so spirited today, vying for attention?
"Ahem..." She curled her fingers, held them up in front of her, and coughed lightly a few tis, signaling them not to tease her in front of guests, and then stopped walking.
"So this is the training ground of the 'Hat and Short Sword' club; it looks great. I've seen the exciting confrontation from earlier this year in a video and especially admired so of the mbers who stepped in to save the day..." After following Tilan to the second-floor stands, Li Xun spoke of what she had learned.
"By the way, Tilan seems to be highly respected and welcod here," Li Xun said, eyes filled with curiosity, eager to know the reason from the girl herself.
"This... uh, probably because I used to be responsible for coordinating their affairs with the student union," the girl could only feign ignorance now, obviously unable to admit she was the boss here.
Before long, after other mbers inford him, Wulai rushed over, and upon entering the training venue, his gaze swept around, quickly locating Tilan and others on the second-floor stands.
With a few quick steps forward, followed by a forceful leap, he jumped up to the second-floor stands, the gust of wind he brought with him leaving Li Xun and her companions in awe.
The majority of them, being fashion designers, were only about Rank 3 in their practice of the Transcendent Sequence and now, before a standout of Sequence 5, felt like children standing before a mighty tiger. Even without any intention of aggression from him, his aura and sense of power instilled a sense of fear.
"Hello, may I ask if you are President Wulai?" Li Xun inquired cautiously.
"That's right, I am Wulai," he grinned, revealing the originally shiny bald scalp now grown out with neatly trimd hair.
After nodding slightly to Li Xun and her group, the tall and burly man approached the black-haired girl by the side with care.
"Good afternoon, President Tilan. I overslept a bit earlier and arrived late," said Wulai, towering and large compared to the girl by the railing, yet his cautious deanor resembled that of a younger brother often bullied by his elder sister.
Listening to him, Tilan didn't turn her head, still watching the training below—not because she was playing haughty or refusing to give Wulai face, but rather out of shyness, reluctant to turn and face the others for fear of being seen by Li Xun's party.
"I understand. President Wulai, just attend to your affairs, you don't have to be so polite and report to ," she said with a clearer throat, then after a little while, turned around.
"Then... I'll get busy," Seeing that Tilan didn't seem angry, Wulai touched his head slightly and then leaped down again, quickly running across the training field, whistling as he gathered mbers who usually needed group training.
"Today, we shall start a new round of sparring..." Wulai's booming voice echoed throughout the training venue afterward.
After a thorough visit of the "Hat and Short Sword" club's training, the accompanying designers took many photos, featuring sword practice scenes, the scenery around the training venue, and their photography skills were quite impressive. The angles they chose were striking: a sword blade thrusting towards the cara, the sword light turned into afterimages, and the few strands of sunlight inside the training venue, and so on.
"Where to next?"
"As for what's next..." Considering the current poor reputation of 'Indigo Cornflower,' Tilan opted for several other large clubs. Along the way, people occasionally greeted her, sparking increasingly curious glances from Li Xun and the others.
"Why do they call Tilan 'Club President'?" Li Xun finally couldn't help asking.
"That, well, is probably because I'm the president of the 'Twilight Orchestra,'" the girl reluctantly ca up with a reasonable explanation.
"Tilan has her own club as well? Where is it? Can you take to see it?" Hearing this, Li Xun likewise couldn't contain his excitent.
"This... alright, follow ."
Finally, as evening approached, the group arrived at a room on the second-to-last floor at the top.
Upon opening the door, they found so club mbers already active; Yeyeber was watering the flowers, Ruby was leaning on the sofa watching an animation, Phyllis and Yalian were playing chess, and the rest hadn't arrived yet.
"So, this is the Twilight Orchestra's club room? It doesn't seem to have many mbers, but the environnt looks cozy," Li Xun observed as he looked around at the room's decor.
"Many students have been studying recently, so they're probably in class now."
"I see," Li Xun said, following Tilan to the large window in the activity room. From this height, second only to the top floor, they could easily overlook most of the school's scenery.
Looking at the girl in front of him, her hair blowing in the wind, Li Xun continued to voice his curiosity.
"Can Tilan play music? Seeing the words 'Orchestra' in your the, I thought you might be related to a music band."
"That's right, we are indeed related to a band." Before Tilan could answer, Ruby ca trotting over and hugged Tilan from behind.
"Let tell you, our President Tilan is exceptionally talented in music," the idol girl with the violet-red hair proudly declared, flashing victory signs with her hands.
"Really? But we haven't seen the president play any instrunt." So were skeptical, as while they had witnessed Tilan's combat abilities, she had shown very little when it ca to music.
"That's because you don't have the eye for it like ~" the idol girl proudly boasted.
Seeing her so sure of herself, the others couldn't restrain their curiosity and felt compelled to inquire further, asking Tilan if she really could play an instrunt.
"Well, I do play a little." Seeing the club mbers crowding around her, Tilan could only nod in agreent.
"Could you give us a performance?" Li Xun also egged on from the side.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, can the President show us so rcy and give us a display? I'm just too curious—I've never seen it before~" As evening fell and more students got out of class, other club mbers also arrived one after another.
Seeing everyone's eager gazes fixed on her, the girl reluctantly nodded.
"However, I only play the violin, and I suppose I'm just average," she warned everyone in advance, because she hadn't been learning the violin for very long, and since starting school, she had many other commitnts and hadn't practiced as diligently as before.
Half an hour later, sitting in front of the window holding the black wooden violin gifted by Deloris, the girl began to play softly.
Out of the tallic strings arose a lodious sound that was strong and resolute, yet broad and gentle, quieting everyone down until at last, a group of them stood dazed in the club room, watching the girl play against the setting sun. The golden afterglow rged with her fluttering hair, and her soft, beautiful face was dreamily veiled in the purple twilight.
