The once desolate desert was bustling today, with personnel in full protective suits using various instrunts to detect and sample the site, and then they went underground to asure various data and review and analyze the surveillance from that ti.

After erging from the temporary underground structure, Tilan could see in the camp outside that there were quite a few flying vehicles taking off and landing, as well as so personnel sent by the Federal Center. The badges on their chests identified so as mbers of the Central Tribunal, so from the Federal Disaster Affairs Bureau, and there were also mbers of the Federal History Archives.

Airanda led Tilan towards the temporary living area in the distance. Along the way, many people curiously watched the dark-haired girl, as such a young figure was rare in the camp, which was mostly filled with mature and professional workers.

Thankfully, because of Airanda's status as an inspector, no one dared to approach casually, at most just glancing over.

After entering the living area, Airanda found one of the temporarily constructed houses, knocked on the door, and entered. It was then that Tilan reunited with her companions, whom she hadn't seen for several days.

"Tilan is back~" With those words, everyone in the room imdiately stood up, surrounded the entering girl, and looked her over from all angles, as if so were even tempted to reach out and touch her.

"Okay, okay, there's no need to keep staring like that," the girl said, a bit embarrassed.

"But Tilan was really cool that day~" Ruby clasped her hands together, her eyes blinking rapidly as if little stars were twinkling in them.

"It was indeed pretty exaggerated," Yalian comnted, and although his tone wasn't as obvious as Ruby's, one could still see the surprise everyone felt at the ti.

"I told you, our Tilan's growth is quite impressive, haha," Guluo beca quite animated at that mont.

"Alright, let's not crowd around anymore, let's all sit down for a while," Yeyeber called for everyone to take a seat.

The living room where they were was quite spacious, with a relatively soft carpet on the floor. Before Tilan arrived, so people were lounging on the sofa watching videos out of boredom, others were sitting around a low table playing card gas, and so were napping.

After quickly counting the number of people present, the girl noticed two were missing, "Where are Deloris and Efnie?"

"Efnie was taken back by her father, and it seems Deloris was too, though she negotiated with her family for a while and just moved to a different place to live, not far from here," Ruby explained.

"Efnie's father is a high-ranking official in the Four-leaf Crystal energy departnt and is very doting on his daughter; he's probably worried about her. Deloris's family is the sa, but Deloris's cousin has a stronger will, and her family tends to consider and accept her opinions," Kinsenke, reclining on the sofa, responded.

"What about you? By all accounts, you're also a son of a wealthy noble family," Guluo asked curiously.

"I am a man, not so delicate girl. Besides, I've done plenty of odd jobs over the years and always co back in one piece. The family is probably used to it by now. Plus, I have several younger brothers. Knowing my dad, if I were to die, he'd just be thrilled to start training a 'new account' from scratch," Kinsenke said nonchalantly, one leg swinging in the air off the side of the sofa.

"It's different for a cousin, though. Deloris is an only child with no siblings. The Incense Workshop is waiting for her to inherit it, so her safety is a big concern for her family. To be honest, it wasn't easy for her to persuade her family to let her co out for this experience."

"Let's drop that topic. So, are you free now, Chairman? The inspector who brought you here, was that just for a temporary reunion, or have you been cleared of any issues?"

"I'm clear," Tilan shook her head, then took off her shoes at the edge of the carpet and walked across it in white socks to join everyone at the low table.

"It was pretty nerve-wracking at the beginning, but after the inspectors finished their questioning, they didn't give a hard ti. They let co back today." She looked at the cards on the table, which seed to indicate that the others had been testing new decks just before.

"You're lucky, Chairman. I heard that inspectors can be difficult to deal with, adept at digging for slip-ups from the loophatches in your speech and distinguishing lies, as if they wish to exhu everything you've ever done since childhood," Guluo said, making exaggerated gestures.

"Stereotypes, just stereotypes," Tilan shook her head, then picked up a card from the table and examined it closely.

For the remainder of the ti, Tilan chatted with everyone in the room for a long while before they all returned to their rooms to rest and sleep.

The next day, Tilan arrived at the residence of Deloris, which was located in the eastern corner of the residential area, surrounded by rigorous security, suggesting that the residents were temporarily transferred high-ranking technical personnel.

After lightly pressing the doorbell, a tall maid opened the door, sized up the girl for a mont, and then allowed her to enter.

"The young miss is waiting for you in the glass dining room at the back," she said, leading Tilan towards the back, soon coming into view of Deloris, who was sitting in a glass room enveloped by hanging plants and ivy.

"Good morning, Tilan," the noble daughter waved her hand casually, with two capable and cool maids standing behind her, emitting an aura that suggested they were at least at the level of Sequence 5.

"Good morning, Deloris."

The girl sat down in front of her, and soon a maid brought over so tea that had been steeped.

"You all may leave for now," Deloris raised her hand.

"We apologize, but Mr. Audrich has instructed us to remain by the young miss's side at all tis," the two maids beside her bowed apologetically, then imdiately returned to their previously indifferent deanor.

"As you can see, Tilan, I've been rather restrained lately," she said, stirring the tea gently with a spoon and dropping a few cubes of sugar into the cup.

"Understood."

The girl nodded, and afterward, the two of them talked about various things that had happened since they last parted, gradually moving on to the current state of affairs and the situation at their school, among other topics.

By noon, they had finished their al and were lounging on a bench inside the glasshouse, soaking up the sun and whispering secrets, followed by a brief nap, before bidding each other farewell.

When Tilan returned to her living camp, where their group was temporarily unable to leave, she found so rare leisure ti and began playing a card ga with her companions nearby.

"Have you played before, Tilan?" Ruby asked as she shuffled the cards.

"I've played a bit, but that was in the shop, and I've never built my own deck." She occasionally replaced 'Belfeng,' the rabbit-eared maid senior, to compete with a ready-made deck from the store against others.

"It was pretty casual at the ti, as I didn't really understand the rules and effects. Winning sotis ca as a fluke," she reflected, having spent most of her ti studying in junior high, only occasionally seeing her classmates play.

"Well, it's actually not that hard to learn, so let Ruby teach you," said Ruby, spreading the shuffled cards across the table.

"Draw one first. The most important part of card gas is compatibility, you see, because with today's rules, card effects can change depending on the user. If a deck has a high sync rate, it can trigger powerful resonant effects, which also offers a rich variety of changes and fun."

"Compatibility?" The girl looked at the spread cards on the table and drew one.

The card depicted a new moon hanging high in the night sky, under which tattered banners of Wisteria flew, with countless skeletons and ghosts walking across the land and skeletal dragons soaring in the sky. In the distant background stood the shadow of a tall castle, with a winding road leading towards it, along which necromancers marched as if on a pilgrimage.

"'The Inception of the rcury Dynasty,' after the fall of that blood-drenched empire, the descendants scattered in flight, struggling to survive under relentless pursuit, until the Witch of the Underworld awoke, and nurous grudges and wills converged, myriads of bones and corpses built up the walls, walking the earth like a doomsday beast, subrging and swallowing all enemies. She is a figure of terror to the world but also our salvation and hope.—Excerpt from Necromancer Shantulu's notes."

"Ah, that's a good start. This card is a core of the rcury Dynasty series. For every two cards sent to the graveyard, you get to draw one card from the deck, and if there are thirty creatures in the graveyard, it will also grant the effect that allows Withering Sequence minions to attack imdiately upon entering the battlefield," Ruby explained.

"Make good use of it, Tilan. Today, I'll teach you how to defeat enemies using necromancy spells~" Ruby joyfully taught the girl the ins and outs of card combat.
