The Sal Tree Residential Module is an area where many affluent individuals reside, scattered with nurous estates and woods, an environnt of exceptional beauty, devoid of any factories, but ho to two large shopping malls and a variety of uniquely styled park facilities.
Entry to this residential module requires authorization from community residents; in other words, any unrelated personnel would be stopped by security upon reaching the periter.
The captors took him here, also exploiting the area's well-regarded security—a barrier preventing many miscellaneous forces from drawing close, making it difficult to gather intelligence. Had it not been for the formidable geeks hired by the "Three Finger Workshop" this ti, it would not have been possible to use the city's networks to pinpoint the general location of the opposition.
The entire periter of the residential module is enclosed by high, pale blue translucent walls. Ordinary hover cars cannot pass through, and any attempt to forcibly breach them would instantly trigger an alarm.
"Are we sure the person is inside?" A few neatly-dressed mbers of the Raincoat Agency were discussing inside a large truck.
"Absolutely, I found traces in the massive database," a gaunt-faced man spoke up, with interfaces plugged into his neck, connected to a nearby network terminal.
Transcendents with the Spirit Particle Sequence have a trendous advantage in computing and information processing, resulting in today's most formidable hackers belonging to the Sequence. This man was no exception; with the help of so terminal devices, he could connect his own nervous system to the electronic information network, allowing for faster information handling and manipulation of certain machinery, and even command so simple AI to assist in combat and other tasks.
Breaking into such a high-end community isn't particularly difficult, but the security of this area is managed by the renowned "White Blue House," a major company from the South First District, with ample personnel and cutting-edge technology. If they are provoked, subsequent operations for our agency could get troubleso."
Although the abilities of transcendents vary wildly, combined with the assistance of various AI and transcendent creations, committing misdeeds is not hard to accomplish, but places with high order and law usually have formidable security groups in charge of their defense. They might not be strong against sudden unforeseen incidents, but once they recover, they always have ways to trace back to the instigators to strike and retaliate as a deterrent.
While it's not possible to be a perpetual thief, the deterrent effect cos from the assurance that once a theft is discovered, the thieves will be relentlessly pursued, keeping many petty criminals at bay.
While the stationed security personnel of the "White Blue House" in the Sal Tree Module are not nurous, any incident here would imdiately trigger reinforcents from their headquarters, hence the Raincoat Agency's mbers did not act hastily.
"Let's wait a bit longer," the team leader said, removing his sunglasses and leaning back on the sofa for a brief rest.
The others were surprised to see him doze off suddenly but relaxed, knowing that if the leader acted this way, he must have so backup plans and confidence. If they were truly out of options, he would not appear so composed.
Accustod to their leader's thod, they montarily set aside their concerns and continued to monitor and observe the area surrounding the Sal Tree Module.
Just when everyone thought they had a long wait ahead, a hover car suddenly broke into the Sal Tree Module, setting off the alarm.
"What's this?" While the others were still in surprise and pondering who it might be, the team leader who had been resting by now had already approached the screen.
"Exactly, it's him. Let him draw the security's attention, and we'll use the chaos to enter. Move out now."
"Yes!"
The long-stationary truck started again and rapidly approached the Sal Tree Module, carrying its mbers.
Shortly after, the fully ard 'Raincoat Agency mbers' jumped out of the vehicle, all equipped with bulletproof vests, tactical glasses, helts, electromagnetic pistols, restricted grade lightsabers, and simple 'Rain-2' exoskeleton armor.
This exoskeleton armor didn't envelop the entire body, covering only the thighs and arms. With the assistance of the armor, the agency mbers moved rapidly within the Sal Tree Module as if they were skating, and then they entered the Optical Invisibility State in ten seconds.
Lines of data began to stream through everyone's tactical glasses, and then, with the assistance of backend AI, everyone's movent routes were allocated.
[Ti: Jade Skirt South First District, 14:34:19 PM]
[Location: South First District Sal Tree Module, High Order Defense Environnt]
[Objective: Capture 'Black Dog' Gleid, prevent him from falling into other forces' hands, and if necessary, he may be killed]
[Caution: Avoid harming innocent bystanders during capture to prevent unnecessary conflicts and reduce complications in subsequent wrap-up operations]
"Now, comnce the mission!"
"Yes!"
The world in the sunglasses appeared in pale grey vision, where bright circles and arrows constantly analyzed the identities of passersby, directing them on their route.
The Sal Tree Module covered a significant area, but there weren't many passersby, with most being various service personnel. The actual hoowners and the wealthy either stayed indoors or traveled by hover cars, seldom seen on foot.
Upon entering the module, the agency's mbers quickly dispersed across the area like a sparse net, filtering through each location. Each of them carried scanning devices, able to detect the traces left by the target, including slls, DNA molecules, and more.
"No trace in Area A2."
"No trace in Area A5."
"No trace in Area A6."
"No trace in Area A3."
"No trace in Area A11."
…
"Begin searching Area B."
"No traces in B1."
"Begin searching Area B."
...
"B7 is under surveillance lock-on, alert trigger engaged, our actions may be exposed."
"Ignore it, continue the mission, and pick up the pace!"
"Yes."
...
"Begin searching Area C."
"No traces in C3."
"No traces in C1."
"Slight traces found in C8, slight traces found in C8!"
"Three mbers converge on C8, remain personnel to continue the search."
...
"More traces found in C8, AI analysis indicates a 68% probability that the target is at this location."
"Team one and two proceed to C8 to comnce operation, team three to intercept external interference, team four on standby."
"Yes."
Then, with a crashing sound, the beautiful windows of a western-style mansion were shattered as agents from the agency jumped in and began to search the building.
There were no people inside the mansion, no servant on guard or master, only several Autonomous Units present.
After the invasion by the agency mbers, these alarm-triggering Autonomous Units were quickly destroyed and brought to a halt, then the search comnced.
So personnel carrying scanning devices patrolled each floor, two hackers accessed the central control system of the house to comnce hacking and take over the controls, while another group set up so 'little gadgets' outside to eradicate traces once the operation was over.
While they were rapidly acting under pressure, Valke was encountering plenty of troubles on another front.
The Hover Car he was riding was intercepted by four blue and white small flying crafts, their fronts deploying fully charged Electromagnetic Guns aid at his Hover Car, while inside the alarms blared continuously.
[Our side is being targeted by unknown focused ray, imminent attack expected, imminent attack expected.]
Since forced breakthrough was not an option, Valke got out of the car, ready to explain, but a large net shimring with electricity swooped down, attempting to capture him.
Of course, he wasn't going to surrender without a fight. His speed surged as he dodged the net and drew out his identity card, prepared to rely on Edith Academy's influence once again to get out of this tight spot.
Unfortunately, this ti, the opponent didn't give him the chance. The suddenly brightening Electromagnetic Gun discharged, the bullets flew nearly instantaneously, piercing through his coat and charring it.
Thankfully, the armor he had donned in advance withstood the bullets. Seeing his explanation fail, Valke hesitated no longer. He leaped up, seizing a low-hovering flying craft, he tore its shell apart, then using its montum, jumped onto another aircraft and did the sa, successively wrecking three crafts.
These civilian flying crafts, after all, had limited defenses. They could withstand ordinary laser guns and bullets for a short while, but against soone like Valke, a human equivalent of a tyrannosaur, they were casually torn apart upon encounter.
The silver-white tal fras were bent and twisted, exposing the vulnerable electronic components inside, and then with one punch, the entire circuit board was destroyed, and the aircraft went down.
Watching the only flying craft that got away rise and sound the alarm, Valke knew he had made a ss. But now that he was here, he didn't plan to leave empty-handed.
As long as he didn't kill anyone, there was always a way out for him. He didn't think stumbling into a district module would bring the sky falling down on him. He had done his howork on the federal laws during this period.
Following the information received, he headed towards the central part of the Soro Tree Module. Although he didn't know the exact location of Gleid, he wasn't a fool. The person providing him the intel was surely also taking action. Although he didn't know their current location, it would beco clear where the alarms and personnel were converging after a few minutes.
The inforr wouldn't give him information for nothing. Surely they planned to use him as a decoy and a scapegoat, but Valke didn't care. He knew of such manipulations, and as long as he could rescue his friend, taking so risks was worth it.
After dealing with the Autonomous Units that rushed at him from the roadside, he discarded the sparking, broken machineries from his hands and continued forward.
The normally tranquil Soro Tree Module began to sound with various alarm noises, while tens of kiloters away, the headquarters of the 'White Blue House' received an ergency support request.
Fully ard personnel swiftly boarded the white armored Hover Car docked at the headquarters, then blasted off with jets of air, accelerating continuously, rushing towards the Soro Tree Module.
