Continuing forward, after turning past a cliff in a valley, there stood a ruined tower that reached into the heavens. The exposed side of the tower revealed various internal structures, including stairs that were nearly a ter high each, as if made for giants to use.

As they approached, besides tourists from various Star Domains, Tilan also saw a few sacrificial personnel dressed in white robes. So were kneeling in front of the shrine praying, while others moved through the residential areas, comforting locals and diating disputes.

"Would you like to hear the hymn?" An elderly priest waved to Tilan.

"?" The young girl blinked, curious about why she was singled out, as she wasn't the most conspicuous among the group.

"Yes." The priest folded his hands over his chest and bowed in prayer.

"Please follow ." With that, he turned and headed toward the ancient cave church at the base of the nearby mountain wall.

Others in the group were also curious about the invitation from the old priest. Wade even asked the guide, "Do the priests here often invite tourists for visits?"

"No, they don't. They hold the cave church in very high regard and do not invite people inside lightly."

"Then what kind of new scam is this?"

"It shouldn't be one. These priests have a good reputation locally; they are quite traditional and adhere to so strict rules." The guide shook his head.

"Why don't you go take a look?" Prin jokingly suggested.

Tilan was also a bit curious and confused. After all, it was unlikely anyone could harm her now, so she followed along.

Crossing the dry, scorching rocky ground, Tilan entered the dim cave church, a cool refreshing breeze brushing her skin and clearing her mind.

The environnt here was indeed nice. She looked up and surveyed the various engravings on the cave's stone walls, depicting angels, the sun, and various flowers, all complex and ancient.

The cave church was very quiet at the mont. A group of young children stood in formation under the guidance of the priest, as a young nun led the singing in the center. anwhile, other sacrificial personnel stood quietly watching from the corners of the hall.

Reaching this point, Tilan found a seat towards the back and sat down. Before long, an ethereal song began, conveying a desolate emotion, as though traversing the river of ancient ti.

This is…

The girl felt an unfamiliar spiritual resonance pass over her, and then a few hazy images drifted into her mind.

It was the early Fourth Era, a ti when humans had just left Earth. Many exploration fleets took oaths before their departure, expressing their unwavering resolve to venture into the Star Sea and spread the seeds of human civilization.

Then ca the progression of that era, from nothing to existence, from a unified totality to countless starry nations. Glory, advancent, prosperity, vitality—all captured the essence of that ti.

As ti slowly moved on, with the birth of the first Black Sun, humanity stepped into the tumultuous and brutal Fifth Epoch. Various powers fought against each other, and killings occurred between Black Suns, leading to the destruction of countless planets and leaving the once-flourished Star Sea devastated.

"If the developnt of civilization is to reach a goal and endpoint, then this dark and low point is a necessary experience in the process." An unfamiliar yet sowhat familiar voice echoed.

"But such a matter is destined to remain incomprehensible. Everyone's ingrained beliefs are as solid as mountains." Another female voice responded.

This is?

Tilan thought of sothing, retrieving two crystals, one gold and one purple, from her storage space. The crystals emitted a faint glow.

She had discovered these at a relic site on a Lost Planet, with the two previously discovered containing the mory fragnts of Xi Aiflian and Amorrenqin, while these belonged to—

Hephaestymo and Cui Kalansi.
