At noon the next day, when the room was filled with light, Tilan slowly sat up from the bed.
Got up a bit late today, she leaned against the headboard, feeling sowhat lazy, not wanting to move.
Her fingers lightly pressed her forehead, the slight coolness clearing her mind a bit, and then her light blue eyes looked out the window, the trees in the courtyard had already budded, it was truly the beautiful season of spring.
Last night, she was too imrsed in past mories, and ntal fatigue is not as easily recovered as physical, in fact, this kind of viewing utilizes her own authority related to ti and space to reproduce the remnants on the crystal, consuming quite a bit.
Stretching lazily on the bed, Tilan still felt a bit sleepy, wanting to crawl back into the covers and continue sleeping, but now she is the leader of the Chasing Star Covenant, many people are watching her actions, if she really slept until evening, it might seem a bit damaging to her image.
Thinking she should have so lunch and then continue resting, Tilan reluctantly pulled back the covers and got out of bed.
After a wash-up, she changed into a decent yet simple blue and white dress, tidied her hair in front of the mirror, slightly adjusted the big blue ribbon around her waist, and then left the room.
Arriving at her office in the city, sitting in her workplace, Tilan first quickly checked whether there were any important matters recently, after annotating and responding to so key items, she delegated the rest of the unimportant ones to her second-in-command and assistants.
"I'll leave these to you all then." Bidding farewell to everyone in the office, Tilan headed to the cafeteria for a al.
"Hello, Lady Hexia~" A familiar Cat Tail Species girl greeted Tilan, the small black tail behind her was still tied with a bow, elegance mixed with a bit of mischief.
"It's Mimi." Tilan nodded, this mber had been with the mountain village settlent early on, but later made a round outside, only to return here during the outbreak of locust infestation two years ago.
"What would you like to eat today?" Mimi asked proactively as she saw Tilan preparing to get her al.
"I see there's still quite a bit of food in the back, I can make sothing just for you, it's not using privilege, but rather personal friendship~" As a mber of the mountain village settlent, Mimi understood Tilan's style, not fond of special treatnt.
"Then make sothing lightly sweet and delicious." During these few winter months, she, like everyone else, mostly ate bread and smoked at, with fresh fruits and vegetables being quite rare.
"No problem, please wait a mont." Afterward, Tilan found a corner by the window in the cafeteria and sat down, patiently waiting.
The sunlight outside was bright and cheerful, a few small birds with bright yellow feathers chirped rrily, occasionally landing on the windowsill, then quickly flying away.
Sitting there, Tilan could faintly sll the delicate fragrance of flowers, her gaze swept over the tender leaves on the tree branches and the rough brown-black bark, her mood gradually calming down.
Her eyes slightly closed as she rested her head, savoring this mont of tranquility, not thinking about the past and the tumultuous events of recent tis.
Several minutes later, the sound of a porcelain plate being placed lightly on the table echoed, prompting Tilan to open her eyes.
"It's ready, Lady Hexia."
Mimi arranged the plates, one plate contained tofu cubes as white as pudding, sprinkled with chopped green herbs and condints, drizzled with a little soy sauce and vinegar; another plate featured roasted vegetable strips with celery, parsnip, potatoes, and a few slices of at, accompanied by aromatic rice as the main course, just as Tilan requested: sowhat light, yet not entirely forsaking the intake of protein and maintaining nutritional balance.
"Thank you, this is exactly what I wanted." Tilan nodded slightly, sounding pleased.
"Hehe, as long as Lady Hexia likes it." After speaking, Mimi wagged the tail behind her and went back to working in the back again.
After enjoying this perfectly suited lunch, Tilan returned to her workplace to continue dealing with affairs, this went on until 3 p.m., when she finished work, left the room, and prepared to go for a walk to see what Ores was up to.
Following a vague sense of perception, Tilan passed through corridors and buildings to the city's outskirts, here was the city's animal farm, with many fenced-in open spaces and tall barns, plenty of livestock had wintered here last winter, now with spring arriving, the animals had considerably reduced, making the place sowhat empty and idle.
Walking through several straw pile stacking grounds, Tilan heard a sowhat familiar sound of flute playing, and then walked towards the sound, finally seeing Ores sitting on a tall straw pile inside the spacious barn.
At this mont, she was imrsed in her flute playing, surrounding the lower part of the straw pile were a few brown thick-haired cows and a group of calves, a few birds also stood on the windowsill, curiously peering in to watch.
This song was one Tilan once played, sohow Ores learned it herself, perhaps a bit shy, she specially found a place to practice, now she's sowhat mastered it.
After the piece ended, Ores was still exploring the finger pressing technique, at this ti Tilan nimbly jumped up, flew lightly from the side onto the straw pile, landing beside her.
"You played very well, Ores." Her voice made the other raise her head in surprise, and then happily hugged Tilan.
"Tilan~" Simply calling the young girl's na, expressing inner joy.
Then the two sat on the straw pile, Tilan asked Ores how she ca here.
"The cows, lovely~" Ores replied with such a simple and honest reason, she greatly liked the calves here, and it happened that during this ti there weren't many people at the farm, so she often ca here.
