It's raining.

Under the temporary wooden pavilion, Tilan stood at the railing, gazing out at the wilderness shrouded in the veil of rain.

Whenever the wind blew, the sound of the rain would beco denser, then it would alternate back and forth between heaven and earth, and then return once more. Thus, it alternated repeatedly. With each gust of wind, the fine rain would drift into the pavilion, wetting the railing and the ground.

A few droplets also fell on the girl's face and her forehead's strands of hair, spreading a fresh scent mixed with earth and rain, like a thin mist enveloping her.

The world beca very quiet. The rain curtain blocked the sight, but it also brought a vastness after release. Standing quietly under the rain lines of the sky, many narrow and trivial emotions dissipated.

The wind and rain persisted. The rain on the grasslands during this season was particularly abundant. The animals that used to search for water sources everywhere were frolicking in the rain, washing themselves, and then shaking their bodies, looking for a place to shelter from the rain.

Just like that, Tilan sat in the pavilion, watching and listening to the rushing rain until afternoon when soone ca up the mountain path to find her.

"Lord Hexia." The one who ca was one of the administrators of the Heshan Rescue Association, Ming Shan.

The man with glasses shook off the wet raincoat on his body and then greeted the girl sitting on the wooden chair.

"Is there sothing you need?" The girl's clear voice was like a clear stream, never dulling to the ear.

"Yes." He slightly organized his words and then reported.

"This week, we have planted the seeds. Now that the rain has co, we just need to maintain things well, and we can harvest in three months." Speaking of this, there was a hint of joy in his voice.

"That's good." Tilan softly responded.

Ming Shan wanted to say so words of gratitude, but looking at the serene back of the girl, he felt that saying too much would only disturb her.

This seemingly young girl was definitely worthy of their respect, but she was also shrouded in many mysteries, making her incomprehensible and sparking many imaginations.

"Is Lord Hexia appreciating the rain scene?" Ming Shan realized his question sounded redundant.

"Mm." This ti, Tilan finally turned around. Her appearance was the sa as a few years ago, slightly astringent yet bearing a trace of tranquility. The marks of ti had halted on her, as if wanting to imprint her image.

She smoothed the few strands of hair stuck to her forehead due to dampness and spoke to Ming Shan, who dared not look directly at her.

"Everyone has been busy for a long ti, so during these rainy days, let everyone in the camp have a rest. If you wish to organize so activities, feel free to tell ."

"Yes." Ming Shan bowed his head for a while. The current supplies were not particularly luxurious, so a feast was unlikely. Instead, they could consider finding so old audio-video equipnt, let people watch so shows, or play gas together.

After listening to Ming Shan's suggestion, Tilan thought about it and nodded in agreent.

"Although there isn't much food, it would be too dull to use none at all, so prepare so to add a bit of festive atmosphere."

"As for the evening program, I will also perform." As a songstress, she can play quite a few instrunts.

Upon hearing this, Ming Shan couldn't help but feel excited. Although Tilan was a leader they highly respected, her stature and appearance always evoked admiration and affection.

"Then let's notify everyone first, and take a three-day break the day after tomorrow for a good rest."

"Yes." Ming Shan bowed again in response, then donned his raincoat and headed back down the mountain.

Watching his figure disappear at the mountain corner and into the rain, Tilan spread her hands, looked at her palms and fingers, and then a crystal-like flute appeared. She picked it up and gently played it, the light tune reverberating within the pavilion.

Today, she didn't think of faraway, grand matters, nor did she have urgent expectations or sorrowful reminiscences. She simply stood in the rain curtain, feeling a slight, tranquil leisure.

What used to worry and stress her no longer stirred any waves. The once troubling thoughts now eluded her mory, and the world seed exceptionally vast, able to accommodate many different things.

...

The news about rest and activities spread throughout the camp by evening. Everyone arriving for dinner discussed what to play tomorrow or what old video dramas to watch. So children happily ran around the canteen, being caught and playfully reprimanded by the staff.

Although the rest and activities were officially starting the next day, many couldn't sleep that night.

After a good night's sleep, Tilan got up at 7 a.m. the next morning.

Her room was still in the cave, where it was quite safe. However, the environnt had improved significantly, with polished walls and neatly arranged stone slabs on the ground, along with a wardrobe and desk on the side.

Besides her, the room also housed Ores, although the two no longer shared one bed but had their own comfortable small beds. Initially, Ores was sowhat reluctant, but after Tilan's gentle persuasion, stating they still shared the sa room, she finally agreed.

Ores hadn't gotten up yet. She was still the sa, waking at around eight or nine. Currently, she was sleeping on her side on her bed, hugging the new pillow Tilan had sewn for her.

After tidying her hair, Tilan quietly approached Ores' bed, looked at her still asleep, and gently touched her soft nose and forehead with her fingers, finding amusent in her sleepy deanor.
