The final celebration event began, and although it had elents of competition, it was more of a performance opportunity, providing a stage for relatively skilled but yet to be famous singers and musicians to showcase themselves.
Celebrate, celebrate; ultimately, it was for celebration and commoration, also giving those with busy lives a chance to pause and relax.
On this day, many cities in the Moonthorn Star Domain held similar parade band events, with cheerful lodies flowing through the streets, alleyways, forests, and rivers.
Wars thousands of light-years away had little to do with here; people still lived simple day-to-day lives. Due to the flourishing tourism and economy, life here was quite leisurely, lacking the sense of crisis found in the Western Star Domain.
"It's over." Tilan, dressed in a white gown, sat by the railing on the high platform, watching the closing ceremony of the celebration below. The audience followed the band float through the forest, passing the iconic buildings of the forest city. Occasionally, residents by the roadside offered prepared snacks to the musicians and the parade-following audience, and everyone enjoyed each other's company.
"Would you like so, Tilan?" Inor approached from the steps behind, accompanied by Phyllis, with the songstress holding so wrapped snacks in her hand.
"These were made by my aunt, and they're still warm." She handed one portion to Tilan, then took another from the basket carried by Phyllis to give to Deloris.
"Is this... Purple Fragrance Reed?" Deloris asked curiously after a sniff.
"That's right, made with ground Purple Fragrance Reed, giving off a faint aroma." Inor recalled sothing.
"My aunt's backyard is planted with plenty of it, so it's probably a recipe she ca up with herself."
Taking a bite, Tilan savored the subtle sweet aroma mixed with toasted wheat flour, the warmth adding to the pleasant texture.
"Is it delicious?"
"Delicious." Tilan nodded.
"Heh." Inor's expression was slightly prideful and pleased.
The competition today was not as intense as Tilan had anticipated; it could be said to be the calst and least suspenseful of the five matches, yet the most relaxed and joyful one. Everyone participated and watched with a light-hearted attitude. Even if there were performance errors occasionally, they were laughed off without much concern.
'After all, it's a celebration festival, so why be so serious and demanding.' Many people watched with this mindset, and this relaxed environnt allowed many first-ti perforrs on such a big stage to perform their best without being too nervous.
At the end of the event, Tilan and Inor perford a duet, alternating between various traditional Elven instrunts, with the other singing, completing the project and earning the final victory.
"This is the prize for winning." After the competition ended, Inor handed a cup to Tilan.
The cup was rather large, called a trophy, but it could indeed be used for drinking. Engraved on it was 'Sixth Era Year 1260, Verdant Celebration Victory Prize, presented to Ms. Angelica'.
Tilan weighed the cup curiously after receiving it; being made of wood, it was very light, with visible fine grain and a delicate, shallow texture. The wood color exuded a hint of red, sowhat resembling rosewood.
Noticing this, Inor introduced: "The cup material is made from the wood of the Mosi Red Koa tree, one of the Elves' Holy Trees. Though not as renowned as the Double Snake Gold Holy Grail given by the 'Twin Witch' Ai Yihka Cui in legends, it still has its own efficacy."
"If you fill the cup with clear water, over ti it can produce a mild Universal Spirit Liquid, used to cure many minor diseases and toxins. Nowadays, with advanced dicine, it may not be as useful, but in the past, it could be considered a family heirloom."
[Mosi Red Koa Holy Grail] (Rare Rainbow Level): Clear water placed inside can generate Universal Spirit Liquid, healing many minor diseases and possessing so detoxifying effects.
The effects are not strong but highly versatile and can be regarded as a Holy Artifact in so places.
At the end of the celebration, Tilan and Inor took the stage together, as she gradually restored her hair color to normal and then her eye color amid the audience's amazent. Standing with Inor, she introduced herself. Finally, under fireworks and the starry sky, they sang a gentle traditional Elven ballad, officially closing the celebration.
"I didn't expect you to adapt so well to this kind of performance." Afterward, Inor spoke with Tilan privately.
"Initially, I thought you were the kind of songstress deeply imrsed in grand dramatic storytelling and unable to escape from it." Inor pondered and made this comparison.
"Why did you think that?" Tilan asked.
"Because the style of the few songs you released in the past leaned towards that aspect." Inor explained this was the strength of stereotypes.
"A songstress's album and songs are actually personal introductions; few people have the energy to focus on all your inner thoughts and experiences, so we need to express ourselves through our songs." Inor spoke about so conventions of being a songstress.
"I see." Tilan had heard others say this before, but she didn't care much about fa back then, so she hadn't invested much effort in managing her image and promotion.
"It seems I should value it more from now on."
Subsequently, the two continued chatting for a long ti, also strolling and visiting various attractions in the Moonthorn Star Domain.
