No matter whether it's the data on paper, or various objective conditions, the Federation indeed doesn't have the possibility of failure, but Tilan vaguely feels that this ti the independence won't end so easily. She doesn't know where this feeling cos from, perhaps it's rely a psychological reaction.
"What if the Fifth Fleet fails, what will the Federation do?"
"The probability is extrely low, but if it really happens..." Yarnasha falls into contemplation.
"The Central Council will fall into a massive turbulent whirlpool, many issues will appear more sharply, even conflicts akin to splitting the Federation might occur."
"So serious?" Tilan said in astonishnt.
"Yes, perhaps you don't know what this ans, let explain to you."
"Because the First Fleet, Second Fleet were disbanded, factually, the most elite fleets now belong to the Third Fleet and Fourth Fleet. The Third Fleet is the heroic fleet from the civil war four centuries ago, sacrificing many in the war, with the most courageous battle achievents, hence, after the Federation reunified, the Third Fleet was entrusted with the most important responsibility of guarding the capital Floral Crown Star Domain."
"Unlike other fleets, the Third Fleet is the strongest, mobilizing this fleet away from Floral Crown Star Domain is practically impossible unless the Central Council, the Golden Fla Grand Cathedral, and the Court of Judgnt all agree, only then can it be mobilized, so I say this fleet is almost impossible to leave Floral Crown Star Domain."
"Secondly, there's the Fourth Fleet, this fleet is responsible for guarding Isenisha's hotown 'Twin Trees Star Domain', which is also the origin of the Federation. The most powerful Elf Families and human consortia within the Federation, many of their ancestors ca from there. Twin Trees Star Domain is also regarded as the living fossil of the Third Era, preserving many of the early Federation relics and history, being the cultural center of the entire nation."
"Just like the Third Fleet, the Fourth Fleet cannot be easily mobilized either. It represents a shift in a certain belief, which would cause significant panic."
"Excluding these three, what's left are the Sixth Fleet, Seventh Fleet, and Eighth Fleet. Many in the Eighth Fleet are reserve personnel and experintal stage starships, etc. Many of the army's new recruits undergo training exercises in the Eighth Fleet, also serving as the placent for many elderly officers, not suitable for frontline combat."
"So it's only possible to choose the Sixth Fleet and Seventh Fleet, right?" Tilan answered.
"That's correct. The Sixth Fleet is comparable in strength to the Fifth Fleet, but the Sixth Fleet's usual responsibility is to patrol various star domains in the Central Region. If they are withdrawn, it would an suddenly vacating the defense of these places, such an action would face opposition from various regional powers in the Central Star Domain, because if there are no fleets patrolling, piracy in the passageways between star seas may easily arise."
"In the past, the Fifth Fleet and Sixth Fleet alternated every five years to execute patrol missions, this ti, by coincidence, the Fifth Fleet was resting in the Central Star Domain, so they were dispatched to execute the peacekeeping mission."
"At this point, little Tilan might be asking again, why hasn't the Seventh Fleet been ntioned." Yarnasha lightly stirred the spoon in the cold drink cup before her.
"Because the Seventh Fleet's personnel composition is mostly not purely human. Among them, part are the rmaid race, part are transford lives, and starships controlled by chanical life forms."
"This is a fleet prepared for the harsh battles that might co in the future, once civilization falls into a crisis similar to the Fifth Epoch, this fleet will serve as a template, quickly replicated and promoted, expanding the fighting power of the entire civilization. Of course, various ethical issues and issues around loss of control brought by it will be ignored."
"Unless absolutely necessary, this fleet will not be awakened."
"chanical life forms..." Tilan recalled the Sigma Council, this neighboring country not belonging to the Federation.
"Back in the civil war, the Sigma Council maintained neutrality, also restrained the chanical life forms within the Federation from participating in either side's conflict."
"I don't know much about the Sigma Council either, just know when the Federation was established, they were allies fighting alongside the Federation against the 'Black Sun'. However, the existence form of chanical life forms is vastly different from humans and other intelligent creatures, they didn't rge into the Federation but existed as a separate nation."
"So I say, if the Fifth Fleet truly fails, and other fleets within the Federation cannot be easily moved, then it would face intense conflicting situations."
"I see." It seems, if Blanchi and the others manage to overco the Fifth Fleet's attack, the Federation might very well choose to compromise and retreat, Tilan thought.
As Tilan was pondering how to respond to various outcos, Yarnasha suddenly brought up another matter.
"Can Tilan pilot cha? Would you like to join the Eighth Fleet and participate in the experintal adjustnts of new cha? I happen to be very familiar with the personnel in this area."
"Ah, this?" Tilan was startled out of her thoughts, suddenly transitioning to the topic of piloting cha.
"I know you are not a quiet girl, hehe, although I still can't see through what you are planning, surely you will do many extraordinary things in the future, so why not learn ahead, and truly acquire the ability to break through and survive on the battlefield?"
"This... alright." Considering that she indeed needs to understand the Federation's real battlefield strength more, Tilan agreed.
