Ran Yan picked up the teacup and with a clattering sound, smashed it to pieces on the floor.
Within monts, Wan Lu hurriedly stepped in, "Wife, what has happened?"
The sweat on Qing Luo’s forehead had already dampened her hair, a few broken strands sticking to her cheeks. Wan Lu gave her a dubious glance, saw the shattered porcelain pieces on the floor, and the wisp of green smoke emanating from the floorboards corroded by the poison, imdiately panicked, "Qing Luo, how dare you attempt to poison the Lady!"
"I did not!" Qing Luo imdiately denied. She had not expected that Ran Yan, just because she showed a slight interest in Xiao Song, would decisively resolve to eliminate her. Her compliance was rely out of the thought "to keep the green hills, and not worry about burning wood", and now she dared not shoulder such an accusation.
"You may leave," Ran Yan said to Qing Luo.
Wan Lu no longer cared to argue with her; she quickly went to check on Ran Yan, "Wife, did you drink any? Are you feeling unwell anywhere?"
"I was the one who poisoned it. I will explain in detail later, first prepare so clothes for , I need to bathe," Ran Yan said.
Seeing that she was truly unhard, Wan Lu finally reassured her, "It has been prepared already, and is waiting at the cleansing room’s entrance."
Ran Yan stood up, but heard Wan Lu say, "Wife, the master’s clothes are running short. Apart from the standard clothes and court attire provided by the Governnt Office, the rest are nearly worn out. Shouldn’t we add a sewing room to our estate? The Lady should also have a few new garnts made."
"Hmm, I thought he particularly loved flaunting his status," Ran Yan said with a faint smile, "Leave this matter to be arranged with Mrs. Xing."
"Yes, but the master’s personal clothing should still be made by the Lady to be proper," Wan Lu said.
"I understand," Ran Yan had already reached the cleansing room’s entrance where six maids stood on the veranda waiting to be beckoned, holding clothes. Ran Yan reached out for Xiao Song’s garnts and pushed the door to enter.
The room was filled with steam and there was a bath one zhang in length and width. Eight panels of purple and translucent colored glass screens stood around it, engraved with treasures patterns, partially obscured by clothes hanging on the screen.
Ran Yan was puzzled; how co there was no sound of water after entering the room for so long? She walked around the screen. The hot water reflected a shimring and hazy light under the lamp light, resonating with the glass screen, weaving into a dazzling dreamy light. Xiao Song leaned against the edge of the pool, already asleep, with a startling expanse of bruises on his shoulders, exposed above the water.
Ran Yan felt a twinge of heartache. She had thought that those born in noble families would never suffer, but in reality, that was limited to not engaging in physical labor. As a descendant of an ancient noble family, especially a legitimate one, they bore the responsibility of upholding a vast scholarly clan, which was not comparable to the so-called wealthy second-generation or official second-generation of later tis.
"Husband," Ran Yan gently nudged him.
Xiao Song opened his eyes, his eyes misty yet shimring like starlight, causing one’s heart to throb.
"Why has it taken so long?" His llow voice contained a rasp, bewitching.
As he spoke, he extended his wet arm to embrace Ran Yan’s waist, gently rubbing his face against her lower abdon. He liked her slender, soft waist, liked the faint sweet scent mixed with the fragrance of orchids she wore. At this mont, holding her in his embrace, he felt a sense of contented satisfaction.
"Yanyan," Xiao Song sighed contentedly.
Ran Yan patted his head as a sign of comfort, "Don’t move, let check if you’ve injured your bones."
"No," Xiao Song assured.
"Is there anywhere else?" Ran Yan examined his back, but the part under the water was obscured by the mist and unclear, "Ah Weng really didn’t hold back.
While she was montarily distracted, Xiao Song gently exerted so strength in his arms, drawing her into the water with him.
Ran Yan exclaid in a low voice, "Xiao Yuezhi! Quit ssing around!"
Xiao Song laughed heartily, playfully splashing her with water, and upon Ran Yan’s comnt, he beca even bolder. He reached out to undress her, frowning and saying, "These damn ceremonial clothes again."
"Xiao Yuezhi, how can you be such a hooligan!" Ran Yan glared at him indignantly; his behavior was just like that of a thug trying to abduct a decent woman.
Xiao Song held her in his embrace, skillfully untying Ran Yan’s clothes while saying, "Lady, don’t you know that all normal n in this world are hooligans? So have thieving hearts but no courage and others with the courage act like hooligans everywhere. I belong to the latter."
Ran Yan glared at him, and Xiao Song kissed her, saying, "But I only play the hooligan with you."
Sohow, Xiao Song turned his "hooligan theory" into sweet talk. Ran Yan indeed admired him for that. By the ti she snapped back to reality, she was astounded to find her clothes undone, revealing the soaked, nearly transparent undergarnt clinging to her skin, with her perky jade bunnies and pink tips clearly visible.
Seeing her surprise, Xiao Song said, "I secretly studied it late last night."
The embarrassnt of the wedding night struck a blow to his pride, as he struggled even with his own wife’s dress ties. Ran Yan chuckled to herself, finding the situation as awkward as those n in modern tis who can seduce a woman into bed but fumble at the last mont, unable to find the clasp of her bra.
"Yanyan, does it still hurt?" Xiao Song asked softly.
Ran Yan responded by tilting her head up and kissing his lips, gently sucking and licking. Xiao Song paused only for a mont before he took control, prying open her red lips and sliding his tongue inside to entwine with hers.
The luxurious ceremonial dress was stripped away by Xiao Song, blooming like a resplendent flower in the water, filling the room with romantic charm.
Xiao Song pressed his already hard-as-iron mber against her private area and entered slowly, the tightness making him afraid of hurting her, so he had to withdraw a little and then move forward again. After repeating this a few tis, Ran Yan let out an unbearable whimper, the sour distension and slight pain down below igniting in her the urge to take him in completely, but Xiao Song seed to anticipate this, his iron-solid arms tightly circling her slender waist, immobilizing her.
He took the bud on her chest into his mouth through the undergarnt, teasing without restraint. Xiao Song himself had imnse self-control, and the last ti had only been a sudden release caused by Ran Yan’s provocation. This ti, he slowly explored inward, searching for the spot that could bring her joy.
"Xiao Yuezhi, ah..." Ran Yan was unaware that her voice carried a panting breath with a faint tremble, like the most deadly aphrodisiac, almost making Xiao Song lose his self-restraint.
"Hmm?" He humd softly. (
