134. The Tables Turn
What the hell?
Lu Zheng dug at his ear, suspecting he had misheard.
He asked again, “What did you just say?”
“Is it really that hard to believe? I’m telling the truth~”
Yi Ning blinked, propping her face with her hand as she slowly slid down onto the table, looking up at Lu Zheng with a provocative gaze from below.
Seeing Lu Zheng’s face, clearly looking forward to it yet forcing himself to hold back, made Yi Ning’s lips involuntarily curl up again.
So cute~
Yi Ning stood up from her seat, walked over to Lu Zheng, and deliberately sat down pressed against him.
The sudden physical contact made Lu Zheng flinch, and he quietly shuffled sideways twice, trying to avoid her touch.
But unbeknownst to him, the more Lu Zheng tried to escape, the more excited Yi Ning beca.
Yi Ning closed in step by step until she had Lu Zheng cornered against the wall, resting her hand on his shoulder as she slowly leaned toward his ear.
She gently blew a breath into Lu Zheng’s ear.
“Hoo—”
Lu Zheng’s body instantly stiffened, and his ears twitched slightly as they felt Yi Ning’s breath.
“Hehehe~”
Yi Ning lightly licked the corner of her mouth, then slowly whispered in Lu Zheng’s ear.
“Or could it be…”
“You actually heard it clearly, but you just wanted to hear a cute girl say sothing dirty, so you deliberately made repeat it?”
“If that’s the case... I don’t mind saying it as many tis as you want~”
“Actually... I tried wearing only Band-Aids at ho before~ and... not just admiring myself in the mirror, but I even took pictures~”
Seeing Lu Zheng frozen there, blushing from his cheeks to the tips of his ears, too stiff to move, Yi Ning felt an indescribable excitent welling up inside her.
Now she understood why those older ladies loved teasing young boys.
This ability to easily stir up intense emotional reactions with every word and gesture, it was... exhilarating!
Especially the feeling of controlling even what the other person was imagining in their mind.
The sense of satisfaction and conquest was off the charts!
This constant positive feedback made Yi Ning’s actions increasingly bold, and her hand even began to reach toward places it shouldn’t touch.
Fortunately, Yi Ning was a coward at heart and didn’t dare to actually do it, only pretending by hovering her hand about ten centiters away.
But even that was enough to be quite stimulating for Lu Zheng.
He shot up from his chair, bent slightly, and stiffly moved to the seat across from her.
“I said that’s enough.”
Lu Zheng’s expression was still sowhat stiff.
He placed Yi Ning’s bowl and chopsticks in the center of the table, tossed the dice, pulled his own bowl and chopsticks back to him, and began eating.
Thanks to Yi Ning’s actions just now, any lingering guilt in Lu Zheng’s heart had been thoroughly erased, and he felt much more at ease dealing with Yi Ning.
For example, he could now point his chopsticks at Yi Ning directly.
“Acting like this, are you really not afraid I’ll actually do sothing to you? You may have been male before, but now you’re a very cute girl, you know. Be careful or you’ll get burned!”
Lu Zheng deliberately made his words sound threatening.
But how could this possibly scare Yi Ning?
“Sigh~ I’m really curious~ What would getting burned look like exactly~ Would it an getting played until I’m all worn out... or... would it an you want to give birth to a new life...”
Not only did she not back down, she even beca more brazen.
Having spent so much ti with Lu Zheng, she knew his personality thoroughly.
She was certain Lu Zheng wouldn’t dare actually do anything, which was why she dared to play so wildly.
And unfortunately, she was right.
Lu Zheng didn’t dare to actually do anything, which was why he tried to talk her down. Seeing that talking wasn’t working well, he simply decided to change the topic.
“Speaking of which, we’ve never really talked like this before. Can you tell why your organization is trying to conquer D-City? Is this kind of backwater sixth- or seventh-tier city really worth invading?”
But how could Yi Ning let Lu Zheng off so easily?
She simply pretended not to hear the question and continued to tease him.
“What I said about the photos before was true~ If you want to see them...”
Yi Ning ford a circle with her thumb and index finger, making a money gesture.
“Just ten thousand yuan and I’ll DM them to you.”
He was tempted.
Lu Zheng was genuinely tempted.
After all, ten thousand yuan wasn’t much for him.
But he also knew very well that Yi Ning was just teasing him and would never actually send him the photos. And even if she would, Lu Zheng wouldn’t have the guts to accept them.
Wait a minute!
Yi Ning would never actually send the photos?
A brilliant idea suddenly popped into Lu Zheng’s mind.
The corners of his mouth curled up, and he dropped his previously shy, flustered deanor as he straightforwardly pulled out his phone.
“Ten thousand, huh? No problem, I’ll transfer it to you. Now, where’s the photo?”
This ti, it was Yi Ning’s turn to be stunned.
“Huh?”
Her phone chid, clearly displaying a notification that she had just received ten thousand yuan.
Lu Zheng reached out his hand.
“All right, give the photo now.”
Now the tables had turned.
The one who couldn’t hold back their grin was now Lu Zheng.
Simply put, Yi Ning had only been able to act so boldly because she counted on Lu Zheng’s embarrassnt and inaction, but if he thickened his skin and reversed the teasing, Yi Ning would have no way to handle it.
Fortunately for Yi Ning, she hadn’t hidden her earlier teasing actions. Otherwise, with Lu Zheng’s current predator-like grin, soone would have already called the Hero Association to have him arrested.
Now, people would just think, “This couple sure plays wild.”
Just as Lu Zheng thought.
The arrogance on Yi Ning’s face instantly vanished, replaced by a completely bewildered expression.
Wait, you really paid?
She glanced at her phone screen again, montarily at a loss for words.
Yi Ning’s mind started spinning rapidly, trying to find a way to break out of the situation.
But how could Lu Zheng give Yi Ning any buffer ti?
This was an advantage he had worked so hard to seize! He should press the attack and expand his gains!
The one who wouldn’t let go while holding the upper hand was now Lu Zheng.
“Hurry up, this was your offer. Don’t tell you’re going to go back on your word now?”
“Uh... you... no... wait a minute...”
Watching Yi Ning flustered, eyes spinning in panic, Lu Zheng began to understand why Yi Ning had so persistently teased him before.
This Yi Ning really was quite cute.
Under Lu Zheng’s relentless pressure, Yi Ning’s sharp mind couldn’t keep functioning, and coming up with a way out beca impossible. In the end, she could only throw in the towel and snap:
“I’m going back on my word, so what!”
Going back on her word was fine. Lu Zheng had never actually intended to take the photos from Yi Ning; he just wanted to change the topic so she would stop obsessively teasing him.
But for so reason, seeing Yi Ning’s red face, eyes brimming with tears, and looking so aggrieved, Lu Zheng found himself unable to say a single word to divert the conversation.
“Gulp.”
He swallowed hard, and the words that slipped out of his mouth, as if possessed, were:
“You talked so big earlier, don’t tell you were lying about everything?”
