Huo Yao pretended not to see his actions and said gravely, “If I give you so acupuncture treatnt, you will beco as obedient as a cat.”

Huo Tingrui went speechless.

Was she even human?

Why did she always intimidate her biological older brother?

Huo Yulin’s lips twitched when he saw what a huge wuss his second older brother was.

Huo Tingrui was the most mischievous kid in the family when they were growing up. He always secretly got them into trouble, but he was shockingly terrified of their baby sister.

Huo Yao retrieved a few more silver needles and proceeded to disinfect them deftly. From the looks of it, she did this often.

“Are you going to perform acupuncture on him?” asked Huo Tingrui as he touched his nose.

She had ntioned acupuncture before, but he thought that she was just saying it to scare him. It turned out she was not lying about it.

Huo Yao nodded. She quickly got Huo Yulin to lie down in bed and pulled over a chair to place it at the foot of the bed.

Huo Tingrui asked softly. “Do I have to leave the room?”

“Up to you,” replied Huo Yao without even raising her head.

Huo Tingrui pulled up a chair and sat so distance away from the two of them, watching them quietly.

Huo Yao applied acupuncture to the acupoints on his head. She checked Huo Yulin’s expression as she turned the needles slowly.

After he had finally relaxed, she retrieved a chain with a pendant from her pocket and raised it in mid-air. She loosened her grip slightly and the pendant hung down from her hand hovering above his forehead.

Huo Yulin hastily opened his eyes wide when she did it. He had seen this done countless tis.

His psychologist did the sa thing for every treatnt.

Huo Yulin stiffened and instinctively clenched his fists as they lay at the side of his body.

“Brother Yulin, relax.” It was Huo Yao’s first ti attempting hypnotherapy.

She had read dozens of books about psychological therapy before finally deciding on trying one of the simpler thods.

Although it was her first try, she did not seem worried. Instead, she looked straight at Huo Yulin confidently.

“Relax. Follow my verbal cues and don’t think about anything else. Just do whatever I tell you to do.”

The chain hung from Huo Yao’s hand motionlessly and only moved slightly when she spoke slowly.

Huo Yulin always hated doing psychological treatnt, but he had no choice. He needed hypnotherapy in order to get a good night’s sleep.

Even though it was his little sister giving him treatnt, it was impossible for him to relax completely. He genuinely detested hypnotherapy from the bottom of his heart.

He was so stiff that it made his scalp tense up, so the acupuncture needles in his head started to hurt.

He frowned increasingly and sweat trickled down his forehead.

Huo Yao put the chain away. Her hands landed on his temples before she slowly massaged them.

She stopped massaging when Huo Yulin relaxed once more.

Huo Yao did not carry on with the psychological treatnt. She could tell that he resisted it deeply, so it would be useless even if she went on.

The mont the patient ntally abhorred the treatnt to the point of hating it, it was hard to go on with the treatnt.

Whatever happened to Huo Yulin back in the day, he must have been in great agony, and still remained deeply traumatized by the event.
