Cheetah felt instinctively threatened by the intense look in Min Yu’s eyes, so he involuntarily stepped back but he promptly stopped himself. Just when Min Yu was about to get closer to him, he raised his gun and pointed it at Min Yu’s forehead.
“No one knows what might happen once we open fire, so I suggest you don’t do anything rash. After all, the client wants you alive,” said Cheetah sternly.
This ant, it did not matter if Min Yu was injured or crippled as long as he was alive.
Min Yu looked straight into Cheetah’s green eyes. Five seconds later, his murderous aura dissipated slightly.
Huo Yao was not here.
If she were truly in danger, Cheetah would not react this way now.
Min Yu stopped asking Cheetah about Huo Yao. He disregarded the gun trained to his forehead and instead asked. “Who’s your boss?”
Cheetah understood what Min Yu was asking. He laughed softly. “If you want to know who the client is, why don’t you follow us without retaliating?”
“Shall we make a bet? Let’s bet on whether you’ll die or win?” Min Yu spoke mildly with his hands in his coat pocket. It felt as though the rcenaries should be more worried than him.
Cheetah frowned. Even though he was unafraid of the man, he knew of his background.
He could not help feeling worried when Min Yu looked so confident.
Cheetah waved his hand and gestured to his subordinate to check the vicinity.
After all, they were not on their territory, so it did not hurt to scan the area.
A ringtone could be heard as the intense face-off went on in the warehouse.
Min Yu’s phone was ringing.
Cheetah looked at Min Yu intently yet again when his phone rang. Min Yu retrieved his phone unhurriedly. When he saw the caller ID on the screen, he was stunned.
Before he was able to answer the phone, Cheetah snatched it from Min Yu.
Perhaps considering Min Yu’s status, he did not smash the phone to smithereens. He simply turned off the phone and removed its SIM card and broke the card into half.
“We were paid to do this, so don’t take it personally.” Cheetah let go of his hand and the broken pieces of SIM card landed on the ground.
Min Yu narrowed his eyes.
Cheetah’s subordinate had co back and updated him about the situation outside. “No one’s there.”
Cheetah finally relaxed slightly. He paused and said, “We can’t stay here any longer. Send the word. We’re leaving.”
“Okay.” His subordinate nodded.
“Oh yes. Call Mr. Yuan,” said Cheetah.
Min Yu glanced at Cheetah the mont he caught the na. He had an inkling of the man Cheetah was talking about.
He had zero interaction with Yuan Huan, but the guy was clearly targeting him and he could not help feeling puzzled.
Cheetah’s subordinate took out his phone and made a call. After trying a few tis, he said, “I can’t reach Mr. Yuan on the phone.”
That was strange.
Cheetah frowned quizzically without taking it to heart. “Forget about him then. Retreat.”
He looked at Min Yu again. He turned the gun nonchalantly and laughed softly. “Anyone can talk big, right?”
Min Yu squeezed his wrist and nodded. “In that case, I need to prove I wasn’t talking big.”

anwhile, in the car.
Huo Yao narrowed her eyes and looked out of the car window after hanging up the phone.
Since she was finally able to get through to Min Yu’s phone, he should be fine, but she could not help feeling worried.
It seed as though a fire was burning inside her.
