Update
Hey everyone! It's been a while.
Sorry about the unexplained break from the series. I was okay, just had so family stuff co up and it took my attention away from writing, and when I ca back, I realized I was having so severe motivation issues with Minute Mage. I'd always assud these issues would solve themselves after taking a short break, but that has not seed to happen. Unfortunately, writing Minute Mage has simply gotten harder and harder as I continue to do so. I think this is partially because of the fact that the beginning of the story was sothing I wrote several years ago at this point, and I've grown a lot as an author since then. There were foundational mistakes I made when writing early chapters that continue to make aspects of Minute Mage difficult to write today, and, while I enjoy writing sothing that puts my skills as an author to the test, being forced to constantly grapple with these issues every ti I sit in front of a keyboard is ntally taxing.
Ultimately, I ended up making the decision to say this: I am taking an official break from Minute Mage. It'll be on hiatus, and I don't know when I'll return to it. I hope to continue the story soday---I still have a lot of ideas for what will happen next---but I'm not sure when that might be.
However, I am not quitting writing.
I waited a bit to make this announcent because I wanted to ensure I didn't leave you all without anything from to read. And as of today, I finally have sothing for you---a brand new series, and one that I think is so of my best work yet.
A while back, just for fun, I decided to try spending so free ti between chapters writing so new stories. And it turns out, I had a far easier ti writing them than I did with Minute Mage. One of those ideas I decided to continue to develop, and it's recently reached a length of over 100,000 words---about an entire novel's worth of content. It's sothing I'm very proud of, and that I've been eager to share for a while now.
