Zhao Yao barked "woof" twice at the Emperor.
The Emperor was amused by his barking, chuckled, and scolded, "You little brat."
"Father, if I’m a dog, then what are you?"
"You rascal, quite bold, huh, daring to insult your father."
"I want to go to Liangzhou to see Fourth Brother!" Zhao Yao suddenly said very loudly, startling the Emperor.
The Emperor pinched Zhao Yao’s nose, amused, and said, "I said you can’t go."
"Father, you..." As Zhao Yao was about to say sothing, the Emperor pinched his lips shut, leaving him unable to speak.
The Emperor’s expression changed, becoming very stern, and his tone turned serious.
"I’ll say it one last ti, you’re not allowed to go!"
Hearing the Emperor say this, Zhao Yao didn’t dare to say anything more, but he still looked very unconvinced, staring at the Emperor with wide eyes.
The Emperor lightly patted Zhao Yao’s face and unceremoniously ordered, "Get out."

"Your Majesty, this servant noticed that His Highness the Tenth Prince really wants to go to Liangzhou to see Prince Chu. Why did you forbid him?" Sun Kui thought to himself, if the Emperor is worried about the Tenth Prince’s safety, he could send soone to escort him. Besides, hasn’t the Hidden Guard always protected the Tenth Prince secretly?
The Emperor spoke in a deep tone, "He cannot go see the Fourth Prince."
"Why can’t he see Prince Chu?" Sun Kui didn’t understand the Emperor’s aning.
The Emperor glanced at Sun Kui but remained silent.
Sun Kui felt a chill down his spine from that glance. He hurriedly lowered his head to apologize, "This servant spoke out of turn, please forgive , Your Majesty."
The Emperor withdrew his gaze, picked up the morial Zhao Yao had snatched away, and continued to read.
Having no success with the Emperor, Zhao Yao ran to plead with Lady Liang. No matter how he begged, Lady Liang still refused to let him go to Liangzhou.
Although he had expected such a result, Zhao Yao was still quite upset.
Lady Liang knew her son was cunning. If she didn’t agree to let him go, he would find a way to go on his own, so she had to threaten him.

"Mother, you didn’t have to scare with not acknowledging as your son."
"If I don’t scare you, you won’t listen. You think I don’t know your character?" Lady Liang warned Zhao Yao again, "I’m not joking with you. If you dare to sneak off to Liangzhou, I won’t want you as my son."

"If you don’t believe it, you can try."

"He’s fine."
Zhao Yao was full of doubt: If Fourth Brother is really okay, why was Mother’s attitude so strange? Was she hiding sothing from him?

Lady Liang said, "I don’t know if sothing will happen in the capital, but I won’t allow you to go to Liangzhou."
"Mother, are you hiding sothing from ?"
Lady Liang smiled, "What could I be hiding from you?" As she said this, she glanced at a row of sparrows on the windowsill.
Zhao Yao thought so too, but he still felt sothing was off.
"Alright, I’m just not comfortable with you going to Liangzhou; there’s nothing else." Lady Liang reached out and tapped Zhao Yao on the forehead. "The situation in the capital isn’t too good now, and you know what the Crown Prince and Prince Dai’s attitudes are towards Prince Chu, don’t you? Do you think I can feel at ease letting you go to Liangzhou?"
