"The night was dark and the wind was high, perfect for a walk."

"I jumped straight out of the window, unseen by anyone. Such a big estate, and it seed like there were no servants around except for a family of three—well, if you don’t count those monsters (energy points 1)."

"It was so dark, I couldn’t see the moon at all. I stood by the pool, stripped off my clothes, and jumped in."

"The water was neither cold nor hot, quite comfortable in fact. I swam for a while and didn’t feel tired at all; the water seed almost weightless (Ability Value 2)."

"I got dressed and wandered onto the lawn. I crouched down and noticed the grass was exceptionally well-kept. Each blade was at the sa height; it felt like touching a flat surface (Ability Value 3)."

"I made it to the garage. Wow, so many cars! From vintage ones to the latest rcedes models, there were easily dozens. Such a huge garage (Ability Value 2)."

"I..."

Ren Suo scrolled to the end of the notes and finally figured out what had happened:

"I quietly returned to the main house. After all, I am a good person; I couldn’t make a lot of noise that would disturb the Village Chief’s sleep."

"As I passed the hall, I saw a path leading downward. A basent?"

"The basent door was labeled ’Storage Room.’ I pushed the door open and found many separated rooms. Looks like the Village Chief has quite a few belongings."

"I opened the first room. Wow, so much money (energy points 2)."

"But what does all this money have to do with , a diligent and hardworking adventurer (Mysterious Sovereign’s Secret Records, Goddess Jade Pendant, Fla Overlord, Three-Tomoe Eye activated) (energy points 1)?"

"I opened the second room. Wow, a lot of Ingots (energy points 2)."

"But what do all these Ingots have to do with , a diligent and hardworking adventurer (Mysterious Sovereign’s Secret Records, Goddess Jade Pendant, Fla Overlord, Three-Tomoe Eye activated) (energy points 1)?"

"I opened the third room. Hmm, this room was empty, but there was a strange fragrance (energy points 2)."

"But it’s so fragrant, what does that have to do with , a diligent and hardworking adventurer (Mysterious Sovereign’s Secret Records, Goddess Jade Pendant, Fla Overlord, Three-Tomoe Eye activated) (energy points 1)?"

"I pushed open the fourth room. Oh, it’s so bright! The whole room is filled with light, but I can’t see any light source. I wonder where it’s coming from (energy points 2)?"

"But it’s so bright..." the adventurer mused, continuing to open doors. His energy points just kept pouring in, with each room yielding a double gain.

Ren Suo naturally saw the parenthetical notifications—"(Mysterious Sovereign’s Secret Records, Goddess Jade Pendant, Fla Overlord, Three-Tomoe Eye activated)"—and figured that when the adventurer opened these doors, he entered so special state.

Thanks to the Mysterious Sovereign’s Secret Records, Goddess Jade Pendant, Fla Overlord, and Three-Tomoe Eye, the adventurer instantly broke free from that special state. This allowed him to leave the rooms safely.

Then, as the adventurer moved deeper into the basent:

"I opened the eleventh room... so many girls."

"The room was large, with at least ten big beds, each occupied by a beautiful girl. They were dressed in different attire and had various skin colors, but all possessed great figures. Above their headboards, portraits of them adorned the wall (energy points 3)."

"Seeing , they smiled and seductively approached."

"As they walked towards , they began stripping off their clothes. Their attire was tantalizingly sheer, revealing flesh that rippled sensuously without being vulgar—truly a feast for the eyes. It would’ve been a huge loss not to see it."

"They pressed against . I could feel their smooth skin rubbing against my clothes. My nerves registered several voluptuous bodies, sending signals to my pituitary gland. My soul seed to split into two little figures. One said, ’Not taking action now would be less than beastly!’ The other chid in, ’Yeah, yeah! You wolf in sheep’s clothing, why don’t you hurry up, shed your disguise, and beco the beast you are?’"

"I felt blood rushing to my lower abdon and my mouth watering. I was almost completely lost..."

Ren Suo licked his lips as he read, then saw the next ssage:

"The beauties are great, but what does that have to do with , a diligent and hardworking adventurer (Mysterious Sovereign’s Secret Records, Goddess Jade Pendant, Fla Overlord, Three-Tomoe Eye activated) (energy points 2)?"

"It activated again!" Ren Suo exclaid, a look of disappointnt on his face.

However, he noticed that compared to the previous rooms, the adventurer clearly struggled much more to break free from the seductive state—many risqué thoughts had already crossed his mind—but he eventually saw through the room’s trap.

So, the adventurer could easily evade temptations of alcohol, wealth, strange fus, and fragrances, but his greatest weakness was beauty?

Just like , Ren Suo thought.

"With my sword of wisdom, I severed the emotional ties, tearfully breaking away. To my surprise, seeing their rejection by soone as handso and dashing as myself, they flew into a humiliated rage. Their eyes blazed with Blood Light as they lunged to kill ."

"Who would have thought they loved so much? But to sever this ill-fated bond, I had no choice but to strike ruthlessly, completely shattering their vile desires! (energy points 10)"

"Ah, I truly am a man burdened by deep sins."

Ren Suo stared at the screen, now filled with dismbered bodies. This adventurer is getting weirder and weirder, he thought.

The reason the adventurer stopped here was:

"I made such a loud noise. What should I do? And although I don’t know what these girls have to do with the Village Chief, isn’t what I did kind of inappropriate?"

Ren Suo glanced again at the screen, filled with blood and gore. Does this adventurer’s dictionary even contain the word ’excessive,’ or anything stronger? he thought.

Options: "End exploration, go back to sleep," "Leave the Village Chief’s house."

It seed this room was the end point for exploring the Village Chief’s house. He could either leave or go back to bed. Ren Suo considered his options and chose to go back to bed.

「Ti quickly jumped to the next morning.」

"The Village Chief ca to find , and I got up, feeling refreshed and energetic."

"Breakfast was still lavish, although a bit cold (energy points 1)."

"The Village Chief told that because I was an outsider, all the villagers wanted to invite to their hos to ask about how things were in the outside world."

"It was hard to turn down such kindness, so I agreed. Then the Village Chief gave a map and told to walk to the next house by myself."

"Although I felt it was rather ungracious of the Village Chief not to even escort , I’m a good person, so I didn’t dwell on it. I left that bastard Village Chief’s estate, following the map towards the ho of the kind old host who had invited ."

"From a distance, I saw a chicken standing in the middle of the road. This chicken held a wine bottle in its left hand and a knife in its right; it was very avant-garde."

On the screen, there was indeed a large rooster, its left wing clutching a glass wine bottle and its right wing gripping the handle of a knife.

As the screen moved, the adventurer got closer and closer to the large rooster. When the adventurer neared it, the rooster suddenly cackled, raising the wine bottle to pour wine into its own mouth.

On the screen, the view representing the adventurer’s perspective began to blur, and the adventurer’s movents noticeably slowed.

The next second, with a swift movent, the rooster brought the knife down—

—and chopped off its own head.

Then the adventurer’s perspective slowly fell to the ground, spinning dizzily for a few turns. Ren Suo realized—the adventurer had lost his head.

"I died."

Ren Suo was stunned by what he saw.

In the ga interface, a new Chapter title appeared: "Set Wine and Slaughter Chicken as Food."

From this Chapter on, whenever the adventurer left the Village Chief’s house, he would again see the chicken with the wine bottle from afar.

This chicken’s thod of attack was very strange. Once it drank wine, the adventurer would act as if he were drunk. Once it committed suicide, the adventurer would also die.

Ren Suo first equipped the adventurer with "Wax and Wane," allowing him to send forth Moonlight. However, the target seed a bit far, so he had the adventurer take steps closer to probe.

But when Moonlight startled the large rooster, it again drank wine and committed suicide, and the adventurer died again.

Upon reloading, Ren Suo this ti directly equipped the adventurer with "Mage’s Death-Defying Feather," making him stop as soon as he saw the large rooster from afar.

Ever since the adventurer had died once, an "Attack" option would appear whenever he saw the large rooster.

The adventurer stopped for a full five minutes. Just when Ren Suo was getting impatient, a chicken head suddenly appeared on the screen!

"My long-practiced Art of Godspeed! How could a re chicken like you react to it?"

"Chicken, you have angered !"

Ren Suo muttered, "...How did it beco ’your long-practiced Art of Godspeed’ again?"

The adventurer then snatched both the wine bottle and the knife. The large rooster paused, stunned, then flapped its wings while cackling several tis before turning to ash and disappearing.

"I don’t drink, nor do I use a knife. Oh well, I’ll just put them in my backpack (energy points 5)."

Then the adventurer continued on his way. However, Ren Suo noticed more chickens at a fork in the road, also equipped with wine bottles in their left ’hands’ and cleavers in their right. He quickly made the adventurer stop and go investigate.

"It seems a bit awkward to go mooching off soone else’s hospitality this early in the morning. I’ll just wander around first and go there at lunchti. That should be perfect."

"Hey, this big rooster looks just like the previous one. Could they be a couple?"
