ark thought with a grimace. I just need seven more Gold Lords to get a Seal of Destiny, and going back without that is just too much of a damn waste. Where are the Gold Lords?
Just seven more!
With a cold snort, he spread out his Soul Sense into the thousand tres surrounding him with wild abandon.
I can see savages—fuck, all of them are Silvers. Useless!
"Mark," Reol'ran said, "maybe you should withdraw, not care about this Seal of Destiny. Let go of it, it's not worth losing your life over."
"I risked my life when I fought the Golden Savages, too!" he replied, filled with indignation as he flew at the speed of sound. "What is the difference? If that armor cos, I might die, but if a Gold Lord just played differently, I might have died, too!"
"Fool!" Reol'ran growled. "That is a thing of 'might or might not,' but if it cos, you WILL die."
Mark grinned. "IF it cos. What if it doesn't? It's the sa thing, when has my life not been a gamble?" His eyes lit up. "And look, there it is—my prey!"
On the ground below, on a small island surrounded by a green river, were nine n. They were savages. Golden Savages. All of them were pale faced and looking at each other, as if afraid of sothing unseen.
Mark was flying at the speed of sound, and he could cover a lot of distance in re short breaths, it was natural that he found a bunch of Gold Lords while using his Soul Sense.
Just as he saw them, they also looked up, seeing a winged shadow in the clouds, bathed in luminous moonlight, their own faces grim.
"It's a demon," one of them said spirit-lessly. "I wonder why one of them is outside of the Demon Caves?"
"Maybe, he has a demonic trick that helps him hide from the World Will," another one replied, just as listless.
"Do you think he will co and kill us?"
"I say more of us will disappear before that happens. You heard the announcent."
When a Gold Lord dies, all other Golden Savages will be inford about the death by the Will of the Savage World. For Yanchen, it didn't work due to multiple reasons—him being a vessel to an otherworldly demon one of them.
But for other Gold Lords, today had been a day akin to hell. One after the other, they got the announcent about dead Gold Lords.
Hugluman died.
Rambakka died.
…died.
…died.
The Savage Lord died.
After that information, deaths had been happening even more rampantly. If you were a Golden Savage, you would suddenly vanish and right after, a notification would arrive.
You died.
"I am saying," one savage lord began, trying to build back so losing morale. "We shouldn't act so defeated, co, let's first kill that demon before anythi—"
Suddenly, he vanished.
Even Mark stared speechlessly from the sky.
The armor had just teleported another Gold Lord towards it, and soon after, it would steal the Heart Blood—its own energy—and the Gold Lord would die.
The Gold Lords on the ground looked pale.
"Huglubuggan died," one of them muttered, then shook his head, face filled with fear. "I don't want to die like that. I don't… I want to die in a battle!"
He looked up, and then suddenly, froze as he saw the winged demon in the sky. He knew that demon—he had fought it before. That demon with remarkable intelligence and power, he knew it.
Mark looked down, rembering that slightly familiar face. It was the face of the Golden Savage who had once ambushed him—a Teleporting Archer.
The savage had two Savage Magic, the ability to create vows and arrows, and the ability to teleport.
"Demon, you… kill !" He roared.
Others, as if filled with dread, shook their heads. "No, no, no. Even if I had to die, I will not die to a demon. Demons will eat our souls and we will lose…"
Another one fell to the ground and cried. "Mama, save !"
One of them just sat down, muttering: "I am still a virgin. Please. I wanted to lose that…"
Mark sighed and gently landed in their midst, Dona had already been put back to his World Space and the hamster once again replaced it. The Gold Lords were all completely out of their zones, in despair. Otherwise, he could have never landed in their middle so easily.
They were equal to Tier 3 Low-level beings after all. As he stared at them, Mark ca to a decision.
Using brute force to kill them was too ti consuming and they themselves might make him pay a dear cost. No need for unnecessary use of force. One must utilize their enemy's weakness when possible.
Mark raised both his hands.
"I am not your enemy, I know why your n are disappearing," he said, looking sad and emotional. "I also lost a Gold Lord, who had beco my partner, my love. She just disappeared into thin air. And I, just like you, also want revenge."
He gritted his teeth.
The Golden Savages had never spoken with a demon with sentience, they had no true bias against them other than the fact that they were enemies who killed each other. There was another fun thing.
When a person is in despair, they tend not to want to think. They just want to be inspired, saved by soone else. Or, sotis, they just want to be instructed.
Silently, Mark used one of his Ultimate Demonic Arts—Heart Parasite.
Suddenly, he could sense their emotional turmoil, or, a lack thereof.
They were numb. Apathetic to almost anything. They didn't truly believe whatever he was saying, they just listened to him, too in despair to truly fight at this mont. Luckily, they didn't have Soul Sense or they might have sensed him using the Art.
He said with a sense of justice. "I know where they are disappearing to, if I have your help, I can certainly do sothing about it."
Ultimate Demonic Art—Parasitic Dream Shock.
Mark used the Art on the most troubleso savage among them, one that had Glass Do. He looked at that savage with intent eyes, as if he was trying to make a point.
And that savage fell into a dream where he had hope beyond his despair. Silently, that savage grew dazed and Mark had a feeling that so of the other Gold Lords noticed the weirdness.
"It's all because of ," Mark said. "I shouldn't have woke up that ancient crap!"
Quickly, all their eyes focused on him. As if they now had a focus to point their ill feelings towards. That was how it was, now, they would move.
Revenge, vengeful feelings, had the sa effect as hope. When a person was hopeless, they wouldn't mind dying, like these savages now. But if they had sothing to have revenge against, that had the sa effect as hope.
Ultimate Demonic Art—Parasitic Dream Shock.
Now, without many of them noticing, two savages were already dreaming. They were dazed, even though they were standing.
But imdiately, soone did notice and Mark sighed inwardly. Ti to fight, he will shout and everyone would try to kill .
He can kill the two people who are dazed first.
But suddenly, the savage who had noticed vanished into nothing and all the awake savages looked at the empty spot with appalled expressions.
Now, exactly 7 savages remained and Mark couldn't afford to lose a single one.
Imdiately, he used Parasitic Dream Shock three more tis without caring about being noticed and in total, five savages were suddenly dreaming. But the first two were waking back up.
The remaining two are harmless. Their Savage Magic is Elental ld and Eye of Heaven and those are useless in combat.
Mark moved at the speed of sound and as he did, he touched every dazed savage. One touch was enough to turn them into clothes, but even if he did that, the Armor could still summon those 'clothes' away from him.
Then, as the other two non-fighting Savages grew alert, he did the sa to them, touching them both at the sa ti and turning them into clothes.
But he couldn't kill them either, as all of their Masks were hidden inside their Third Eye.
With a cold expression, he wondered what he could do. He didn't have much ti. He grew ruthless.
Absorb!
He absorbed the cloth-like savages into his World Space. He didn't want to ever do that, because inside these Gold Lords, there was a piece of the Savage World's Will. What would happen if that entered his World Space?
Mark didn't want to find out, but now, he will.
Reo'lran growled. "Was a single Seal of Destiny worth this risk, dumb, idiotic demon?"
Even she didn't know what was going to happen!
Maybe, the Savage World Will might just burn him from the inside!
Mark calmly answered, "I have my own thoughts. Believe in , it's a weird idea I just had but it's worth a shot."
Just as the clothes entered his World Space, Mark felt his mind gently quiver. His soul felt unsteady, as if sothing foreign had suddenly found a way in.
As if a worm was squirming within him.
The Demon World invaded other worlds so that it could expand itself. Every world that the demons conquered, the demon world was expanding for it.
Basically, all worlds were in a war for each other's World Core. Of course, Mark's World Space was also built using a World Core—the one he got from the Hunter World.
Entering it, of course, the Savage World would want Mark's World.
