Since Monika's identity and appearance were no longer useful against the viruses, and this short stature offered no benefit for the impending battle, Alain attempted to revert to his own appearance.

Fortunately, it went smoothly. Feeling the return of his muscle strength and his familiar line of sight, Alain took a deep breath and looked at the group of gradually approaching viruses.

Upon seeing him revert to his original form, the viruses did not make any major moves, yet they continued to close in slowly.

However, they seed to be slowly forming an encirclent. An encirclent surrounding the Master Brain, Alain, and Mina.

Observing that the entire Core seed to be wriggling, Alain realized once again... he had entered the viruses' lair.

From the way these viruses were consciously and strategically forming an encirclent, one could roughly deduce:

"Yang Wanhua is manipulating all of this?"

His gaze swept over every virus, finally resting on a large Black Sphere located at the highest point.

It did not move toward them like the other viruses; instead, it seed more like it was observing everything.

And Alain's appearance was being displayed on a computer screen.

"Oh my, it seems I've been discovered."

Beside the computer desk, the young girl casually discarded a coral-brown color block she had in hand, swept it clean into the trash, and then sat back in her computer chair.

"Ah... Alain, you are as moving as ever."

Wanhua propped her elbows on the desk, gazing infatuatedly above the screen at the face of the young man filled with anger.

"I really want to eat you up..."

Inside the screen, Alain instantly felt a shudder run through him.

He shook his head and walked to Mina's side... estimating the combat power of the enemy versus themselves.

Soon, he still lowered the Greatsword and stored it back into the Security Assistant.

"Alain?" Mina looked at the young man's profile in confusion.

Alain did not reply imdiately; he touched the headset at his ear.

"Darling, is there any change in reality?" Alain glanced casually at the rift in the corner.

Misha's voice replied quickly, "None at the mont."

From her end, the faint sounds of traffic horns and passersby chatting could still be heard; presumably, she was also rushing ho at full speed.

"Good." Alain breathed a sigh of relief.

Currently speaking, trying to fight their way out of the Core viruses' encirclent with just him and Mina was simply impossible.

Just the troubleso Black Spheres alone numbered as many as three.

Not to ntion the large worms, spider monsters, and the multitude of other complete-form viruses.

Since the reality side could still hold on for a while... then for now, the only option was to return to reality first.

However—

Alain scratched his temples, feeling his scalp tingle.

If he left now, he didn't know what would happen the next ti he entered the Ga World.

But what could be confird was that there would inevitably not be an opportunity like the present: the closest opportunity to the Master Brain.

One reason, naturally, was that Monika's status as the virus leader was no longer effective.

The second... was that they still didn't know exactly what level Wanhua's progress bar had reached. The range of 'above 95%' was still too broad.

What if it was exactly 99%? It might reach 100% in the next second.

Once the Cartridge progress bar reached 100%, let alone touching the Master Brain, even the entire Ga World, the False Reality, and the Dream World might beco hopeless.

In other words, if they wanted to touch the Master Brain... now was the last chance.

Mina seed to notice Alain's distress.

She bit her lip gently, then patted Alain on the shoulder.

"Alain, what are you thinking about right now?"

"? Besides thinking about you, I'm afraid it's the Core Master Brain." He forced a bitter joke.

The young girl nodded gently, looking toward the group of viruses pressing in step by step...

She spoke up, "Alain, buy so ti."

"...?" Before Alain could realize what Mina ant, the young girl had already put down the electric saw and walked toward the direction of the pale blue shield.

Under his gaze, she gently placed her hand on the shield and looked back at Alain.

"Just a little while is enough."

Seeing Mina walk toward the shield, the viruses, without exception, fell into a frenzy like wild horses off the leash.

Rumble...

The viruses surged toward Mina like a sky-swallowing tsunami.

Alain had no ti to hesitate; he quickly picked up Mina's electric saw.

Buzz—Rumble...

The surging motor burst forth with majestic energy, and the intense vibration filled Alain with strength.

He summoned the Greatsword again, holding the Greatsword in one hand and grasping the electric saw in the other... rushing at his fastest speed to the front of the virus closest to Mina.

He understood what Mina wanted to do—it was precisely the risky plan he had rejected.

To shatter the blue mbrane body and attempt to obtain the Core Code.

Although it couldn't completely save the Core, as long as they had the Core's code, they could make the Dream World into a Noah's Ark for the Mitas!

Everyone, including Alain, would no longer have to suffer the poisoning of the viruses.

And what he had to do was to delay the viruses' footsteps until the blue mbrane refreshed.

Pfft—

The electric saw sliced through the skin of a large worm without any sense of obstruction, splashing garbled code all over the ground.

He understood that this matter was very dangerous...

Looking at the large-scale viruses erging endlessly like a tide,

"But it has to be done..."

Crash—

Splattering black garbled code hit Mina's feet, but she gazed calmly at that pale blue shield, thin as a cicada's wing.

With her palm placed upon it, it had a certain soft sensation.

When she applied a little pressure, however, it beca like a hard wall.

Nevertheless.

"I can do it." After her simple sentence, she took a deep breath—

Slowly yet nimbly withdrawing her palm, she clenched her hand into a fist, and in an instant, suddenly unleashed it—

Bang!

The earth-shattering sound resonated like a clap of thunder; a single strike beat the pale blue mbrane beyond its burden.

Cracks appeared in minute detail, spreading out strand by strand, centered on her punch, becoming a fragnted spiderweb.

But this was not over—Mina's plain gaze suddenly sharpened, and she continued to apply her whole body's strength toward the mbrane.

Failed Works, Failed Works, she is a Failed Works—

So what?

She is the toughest Failed Works; she is the despairing Failed Works.

And this despair, along with the hope not yet in hand...

All of it could beco her strength!

Bang—!!!

A second sound of thunder resonated within her punch.

Alain suddenly looked back, only to discover—

The light mbrane protecting the Master Brain had shattered.

"Alain! Don't look at , continue to buy ti!" The young girl's words rushed into his ears.

Alain returned his thoughts to the battlefield, blocking wave after wave of virus invasions...

Of course, he didn't forget Mina's side either.

"2D Mita, go help her!"

"Okay!" The Security Assistant panel appeared beside Mina.

At this mont, the girl with the indigo-blue low ponytail had already opened the Master Brain, looking at the progress bar above it, clack-clack-clack clicking on the keyboard... and then hit enter.

Click!

The 93% progress bar grew rapidly, and a decimal point appeared... precise to the last two digits.

The numbers marched quickly toward 100 in Mina's eyes. When it reached 99, her heart started, and her gaze focused on the two digits after the decimal point...

99.01 -> 99.02... 9.8%.

"99.58%—this is the real progress bar!" Mina turned her head and said to Alain.

"Good!" Alain pulled his mind out from the front to reply.

But just the progress bar could not satisfy her and Alain's ambition.

She had always been an insatiably greedy woman...
