Xides ground his teeth in anger.

He hated the other party, wished he could devour Leoz whole, yet he was helpless against him.

All he could do was bla Leoz for seizing his opportunities, knowledge, and auxiliary system.

Things that were supposed to be his.

If it weren’t for Leoz... everything the other party enjoyed should have been his now.

"You shouldn’t exist, Leoz!"

Xides shouted furiously:

"If it weren’t for you, I’d have long—"

"If it weren’t for , the Starry Abyss would have been invaded eight hundred tis over."

Li Aozi said coldly:

"You lost your system, lost your mories, yet you could still mix around in the Void with divine power as a Great Monarch. Leoz... I was born with nothing, even my na and strength were earned with blood. I have fought for Starry Abyss for countless ages, and I have never denied my cris—how does history judge ?"

"In Starry Abyss, Leoz is called the last hero. Many families na their children ’Leoz’, just like ’John’, ’Michelle’, ’Gabriel’. In people’s minds, it’s a great na. Families tornted by [Society] will rember countless tis how the last hero Leoz wielded a butcher’s knife against [Society], protecting Starry Abyss."

"Starry Abyss calls a tyrant; what has Starry Abyss done to this cosmos? If Starry Abyss were a wise monarch, it shouldn’t divide into six layers, letting the outer layers be invaded first. The ancestors of the Primordial Abyss should be fighting the Destroyers to the death!"

"The noble Chief Gods possess great strength, yet pretend to be asleep in the rear, weakly avoiding battle, while the lowly cannon fodder give their lives fighting for them, and they aren’t even deed worthy of having their own nas!"

"Leoz is a deity, but also a representative of many discarded, forgotten, despised cannon fodder deities."

"Thus, when [Society] rampaged for several centuries, the people of Starry Abyss had already made their choice."

Swords clashed, guns roared.

After a long silence, Xides spoke.

"The choice of the people?"

Xides suddenly sneered:

"The world always belongs to the few. Am I afraid of the majority standing with you? The Chief Gods beyond the Abyss don’t easily enter my domain; the Lai Anding Immortal Spirit has to bless respectfully."

"You deities, thinking your ability to wage war makes you look down on those of us favored by the Starry Abyss; [Society] will teach you a lesson."

"Let’s be frank, Leoz, do you think you’re special? Do you think being good at war matters?"

"No, no, no, many of my generation’s fourth-generation deities have gone to the outer cosmos to gain experience and prestige, returning to bring the first narrative to the Primordial Abyss. Those without a place to return have continued experiencing the ga ’Star Abyss’ in the reality filter—oh right, that’s called tiline simulation."

"In this era, you still think you can rise through war—of course, I genuinely admire military geniuses. Without your sacrifice, we orthodox deities couldn’t die and resurrect to enjoy the ga."

Xides mocked:

"You think you’ve bested , that it’s remarkable to win the strong with the weak, but that’s nothing. I am already in the Border Abyss; even if cut off in silence, my ceiling is still higher than yours, while you can only stay in the Layer Abyss, unable to dive deeper, watching yourself age and die!"

"You think you’ve won the battle? Hahaha, Leoz, if the world was divided by martial force, then all rulers should be soldiers."

"I’m not afraid of your combat skills, Leoz. No matter how good you are at fighting, Starry Abyss will constantly send deities to rescue . You may be powerful, yet not reach a Chief God’s stature; even the Lai Anding Immortal Spirit bows to . What are you? My life can’t be stolen by you. You can only cling to society, betraying Starry Abyss just to survive—"

"I have never betrayed."

Xides wanted to speak but was interrupted by Li Aozi.

"Even though questioned and neglected by Starry Abyss, I never considered betrayal."

Li Aozi stepped forward, his white robe lifted by the wind of the Void, wings of a White Dragon unfurled behind him:

"I have always been saving this vast star sea."

"I have received nothing, and despite all my contributions, Starry Abyss hasn’t even paid a single day’s wage."

"I didn’t even plan to kill you, Xides."

Crack, crack, crack...

"Using gravity to twist spaceti, reshaping life with weak force, connecting people through electromagnetic sound, igniting the sun with strong force—

This was Leoz’s reform in Haines upon taking the stage."

Li Aozi’s gaze grew colder.

"Perhaps I am an illegitimate dictator, but without my defection, more families would be torn apart because of . I can’t feel ashad or guilty about this, because Starry Abyss even denies the ability to perceive this."

"Yet what have you done, Xides?"

"You look down on cannon fodder warlords like ; that’s fine, I expect no return. After all, new capitalists are equally scorned by aristocrats."

"But you mocked . You think you naturally deserve your status and blessings, as if it’s rightfully yours?"

"Everything you have is built on the blood and sweat of countless cannon fodder deities, the tidal flats of the Nether Abyss are littered with their soul dust! Yet you mock us, disdain our struggle!"

"The Chief Gods of Starry Abyss are corrupt, yet you scold for recruiting societal forces, secretly learning the abilities of Earthlings yourselves."

"One day soon, Earthlings will spread warfare across this world, and the noble deities will lose their supre status, just like when the Narrative Civilization arose, and secular deities lost respect for Starry Abyss too."

"But even so, I still love Starry Abyss."

Li Aozi gathered light energy in his hands, quickly intertwining it to form a blade:

"Not because of the Will of the Starry Abyss, but because here lie my friends, comrades, teachers, and fellow beings."

Li Aozi slowly stepped forward.

"The entire world is about to be trampled by the bandit gang [Society] led by Earthlings, yet you revel in past fantasies of superiority, playing through the cognition filter—

"Your vision is short-sighted. When one day, English speakers trample over the Starry Abyss with scorched heavens and plunder, only then will you notice the change."

His eyes blazed a deep blue, burning like fire, his robe moonlit like snow, immovable in his righteous stance.

"The Starry Abyss is unworthy of leading ; I am my own Chief God."

He dragged his sword forward. Beastn, crystal people, citizens of forr [Society] all, upon seeing his eyes, moved aside involuntarily even if they had no impression of him.

Thousands of troops and horses made way for Li Aozi, opening a path directly to the Great Monarch’s throne.

"Leoz, what do you intend to do?"

"I haven’t forgotten I am from Starry Abyss. I have always fulfilled its duties, yet Starry Abyss denies the rights of a lawful citizen."

Xides sneered: "It’s just a sliver of light; what do you think you can accomplish? I can’t kill you, but you can’t even scratch !"

"The Earthlings’ shadow curtain has already fallen—I’ll find a new path for Starry Abyss. Only I can save Starry Abyss!"

"The stars will embrace their new master. Under the new order, each civilization will find its own path. I will unite the narrative people to jointly resist the true enemy, Earth!"

"If the decrepit, outdated Starry Abyss refuses to submit, I shall pierce through the Six-Layered Starry Abyss, scattering the invasion from evil Earth and the oppressive old order of Starry Abyss!"

"And I—"

Li Aozi grasped the Shining Sword, sprinting forward, leaping over the entire battlefield, and the chilling gleam descended upon Xides:

"Will be the Sovereign of the New World!"
