The magic guide train erged from subspace, loaded with a large amount of supplies from Newbie Village, heading straight for Trevela.
The forr capital of the planet, the pride of the people, was now a scene of devastation. Corpses hung on the streets, people couldn’t even retrieve them, and cold rain dripped continuously. Survivors trembled in the mud and cold, exhaling misty sighs, not even able to get a blanket.
With key personnel dead and the governnt paralyzed, the entire Trevela City was in a state of collapse. This city, originally spanning 1.2 million square kiloters, required 600,000 civil servants, 1.2 million employees, and law enforcers to maintain stability. However, due to the destruction caused by Canyue, the city was completely in ruins.
No governnt, no police, no fire departnt, no military.
Even though the elite force from March Lily Fortress had quickly arrived, they were also overwheld. They couldn’t just produce food out of thin air, nor could they forcibly relocate residents from other cities into Trevela to help with disaster relief and population replenishnt.
In reality, the more advanced a civilization’s city is, the more finely divided the labor. They were adept at combat and handling political events, but for issues as detailed as each citizen’s food and drink, grassroots governntal personnel were needed to go door to door for assistance.
In this situation, the magic guide train full of supplies imdiately caught the attention of the civilian population.
"Soone is delivering supplies!"
"It’s food! I sll food!"
"Brothers on the train, please give this pregnant woman so water!"
The train slowly decelerated, automatically laying down its traction rails as it landed on the ground. One by one, the freight cars opened up, revealing faces very different from those of the Tanas Clan.
About twenty people, all with pale skin as if they had never seen the sun, not very powerful, their auras as weak as goblins, they seed to be aliens from so unknown place.
But none of that mattered.
These pale-skinned aliens began taking out bags of supplies from the train and handing them out:
"Don’t rush, don’t rush, there’s enough for everyone."
A compartnt full of supplies was quickly distributed. A pale-skinned crew mber sighed in relief and swiped lightly on the panel in front of him:
[Side Quest: "Disaster Relief" Completed]
"We’ve finally reached Trevela and completed the quest we picked up along the way."
The president of the Board Ga Society Guild, Dragon Ground City, nodded in satisfaction.
Since Li Aozi had issued the new main quest, they had been racing against ti, sending players with the highest "Charm" to negotiate and explain the disaster that had befallen Trevela.
Normally, such a train full of supplies, amounting to tens of thousands of tons, would be unaffordable even if they sold Newbie Village. Fortunately, an organization called the Aid Study Society volunteered to help, coordinating relationships and acting as guarantors, allowing them to reach Trevela on ti.
Of course, besides supplies, they also brought so items from Li Aozi.
After distributing the supplies, the players were about to go look for Li Aozi when a lot of information popped up on their panels.
"Hey, President, I’ve unlocked Trevela City’s Legendary Degree," one of the Board Ga Society mbers, Ciox, said excitedly. "We get a 50% discount on purchases and skill training in Trevela City."
"There’s also a title—’City Hero,’ wow, it adds a 5% mana recovery per second when equipped," exclaid the hamr-wielding player. "Damn, there are so many side quests in Trevela City, my quest panel is exploding!"
"Disaster relief, finding people, delivering water, resetting circuits, ergency repairs, lost and found—so many side quests, there’s no end to them."
"But the quest rewards are so abundant, all settled by Dina, and they even reward magic."
It was the players’ first ti visiting a large city on another planet, and although it was now a ruin, they were still greatly shocked.
The high-rise buildings and mysterious magic circuits, the towering Mage Tower, magical creatures freely flying in the air, combined with the remnants and ruins of Trevela, gave it a post-apocalyptic aesthetic.
Li Aozi’s main quest had already been completed, only the final handover of the supplies remained.
The players who had co to Trevela City began discussing whether to take on so side quests to accumulate rewards when suddenly, a figure tore through a spaceti ripple, appearing above the carriage.
Pa!
Li Aozi hovered in mid-air, shouting to the players on the ground:
"Companions from Azure Star, you ca just in ti. Although the crisis in Trevela has been resolved, the fate of Baizhu Star still hangs in the balance."
It’s Li Aozi!
[Main Quest "Saving Lord Aozi"—Settlent Condition A Achieved]
[Rewards have been distributed.]
The players received their rewards but did not disperse as they gathered around, staring at Li Aozi with wide eyes.
Li Aozi’s words clearly indicated there might be follow-up tasks. Since they were already up this late at night, they might as well keep going for a while longer before sleeping.
Li Aozi did not waste words, scanning the players on the ground, noticing that only Caral Snail, Cumin Powder, and a few others were missing.
[Caral Snail not here? Hm, maybe he’s off trying to find Zeta Rank.]
Li Aozi didn’t think much of it; for him, the number of people present was almost enough. He waved his hand and led the group into an enclosed room, closing the door before speaking solemnly:
"The current situation is not optimistic. Friends from Azure Star, a few hours ago, Trevela City was attacked by the Zeta Rank felon ’Canyue,’ turning it into what you see now. At the sa ti, he assisted the Night Butterfly Federation in acquiring two highly forbidden pieces of knowledge, which are fragnts of the body of Eye of Discernnt, one of the three great Destroyers."
The players started whispering among themselves.
"Eye of Discernnt...it was ntioned in the beta trailer, ranked alongside Gem Dragon King and Dark Titan as destroyers invading the Starry Abyss."
"Isn’t that supposed to be the ultimate boss? They’re already ntioning Eye of Discernnt in the first version?"
"But this is a fragnt of an ultimate boss-level character, and it was stolen just like that?"
"Plot-driven, plot-driven."
Li Aozi continued:
"I know you must have many questions. These matters don’t directly concern us right now—but they aren’t entirely irrelevant either."
He showed a note handed to him by Vellia:
"Thanks to soone, I received a piece of information: It was confird that due to the presence of the Eye of Discernnt fragnts, the chanical World Society Mashigang, which had been wandering nearby, was attracted. Recently, they infiltrated Baizhu Star. Unfortunately, the infiltration was successful, and due to Canyue’s attack, Mashigang is likely to descend any mont now."
The players were already sowhat familiar with the Society.
Interstellar civilizations, unlike the natives of Azure Star, have a basic understanding of the Society’s infiltration, and the players from Newbie Village, having mastered the language, were also inford about the Society’s basic setup, so Li Aozi didn’t need to explain it.
Another reason was that so players had already discovered the link between pseudo-humans and the Forged Society.
"Mashigang is not an opponent we can contend with at our current stage. Even a Kappa Rank powerhouse would flee for their life in the face of a full-fledged Society entity, unable to ensure their safety. The entire planet would be devoured, including our holand, our land, and our people..."
Li Aozi’s words were grave, and the players, who had been sowhat relaxed, imdiately beca serious.
"But the Society is not invincible."
