"Speaking of Gui Ming, isn’t this a bit too much?"
Beizhong Gui Ming and her group chuckled as they left the library when a female student suddenly spoke up.
"Too much?" Beizhong Gui Ming was puzzled, "Is it?"
"I agree with what Ariel said — no matter what, we are won of an interstellar civilization, mocking soone’s appearance is really in poor taste."
Another fashionable girl flipped her hair:
"I don’t know how your planet’s culture mocks n; after all, there are cultural differences, but on our planet, people who work and study seriously are respected."
"What a joke, that guy is just a backward, primitive, terrifying monster. Armored Breeds shouldn’t even exist; he should have been drowned at birth in the hospital toilet!" Beizhong Gui Ming said disgustedly.
"But he has higher credits than you, better grades, and is also a mber of the Alchemy Club."
A female student said innocently.
"Gui Ming, even though we did those things to cooperate with you, maybe we shouldn’t do that anymore." A girl with cat ears comnted, "n of the Miaolu Race are weak; in our area, they should be well protected. To , your behavior just now was quite despicable..."
"Huh? But I’m the victim here! That man chased all the way to university—"
Beizhong Gui Ming stomped her foot in annoyance.
"...you can fool passersby with that kind of talk."
A girl with blue skin opened her hands:
"If he really was hounding you, why would he only hang out with n every day?"
"You—" Beizhong Gui Ming flushed, "Why are you speaking up for n?"
The female classmates looked at each other and said:
"We don’t know why you harbor such malice toward n, even ones from the sa species."
"We cooperated with you out of respect for our friendship."
"When you attack others, saying they discriminate based on appearance, species, gender, how are you any different from those who discriminate against you?"
Beizhong Gui Ming went red and didn’t know what to say, these girls were from good families, and she had made great efforts to fit into this circle.
"I..."
Before she could finish, a pedestrian suddenly ca towards her and bumped into her.
"Ouch!"
Beizhong Gui Ming staggered, nearly falling, then imdiately turned and cursed:
"Fuck! Can’t you watch where you’re going!"
The pedestrian stood still in place.
"Hey! Didn’t you hear? Don’t you know to apologize after bumping into soone?"
Beizhong Gui Ming swore loudly, pointing at the shaking figure of the other person, jeering:
"Oh? Scared now? Starting to cower?"
Her female companion couldn’t watch anymore, her character was just too vile. She simply stepped forward and pulled her away:
"Let it go, Gui Ming, that’s enough."
Why would Beizhong Gui Ming stop?
She had just been ’betrayed’ by her friends, didn’t dare vent her anger on them, and then encountered an inattentive idiot.
She stord forward, grabbed the other person’s collar, but it was like grabbing a steel tower. She said viciously:
"Hey, fuck, didn’t you hear? Turn around, look at properly, and apologize—"
With a strong pull, the other’s immovable body suddenly turned around.
Then, she looked up and imdiately t a pair of red and black eyes.
"— sorry."
As her words fell, the other’s eyes suddenly cracked open, flesh and lenses split apart, a slight sonic boom sounded, bursting out two neural tentacles that pierced her own eye corners.
Hisss!

"Hey, Old Lu, what is this thing?"
Hobbs leaned forward; he had not studied alchemy and could not make sense of it.
Lucite gently twisted it, infused magic power, and explained:
"You know, under normal circumstances, as long as you don’t release spells that have visible light effects, each Spellcaster’s magic power is colorless, right?"
Hobbs rolled his eyes:
"That’s obvious, who would reveal all their bells and whistles through magic? Isn’t that just making yourself a target and screaming ’Here I am, hit ’?"
"See, you’re being narrow-minded. Whatever exists, definitely conforms to so rules, and anything produced through a rigorous process definitely serves a purpose."
Lucite chuckled and lifted the sphere:
"I’ve been in touch with so students undergoing military training, and they’ve commonly complained about a problem: the difficulty of identifying friend from foe on the battlefield, leading to accidentally bombing allies."
"Bombing allies? Isn’t that common? There’s no war without friendly fire."
Hobbs spread his hands:
"Our magic civilization is already considered good; we generally have psychic power nodes marked—look at those technological civilizations, even linked to the network, they bomb the wrong targets when they can’t discern ground signals."
"Large-scale bombing can be avoided, but what about individual combat, especially street fighting, urban warfare?"
Lucite lifted the sphere, then took out a pair of glasses and placed them on Hobbs’s nose.
Hobbs adjusted the fras, focused his eyes, and imdiately noticed a striking blue magic outline erupting from Lucite.
Even across the table, he could clearly see his entire figure.
"Hey..." Hobbs was surprised, "This thing seems really useful."
"Nowadays, wars still inevitably involve assaulting buildings, fortresses, and bunkers, even with the reliance on space vehicles. And once you fight in such confined spaces, you’re bound to encounter scenarios where it’s hard to distinguish friend from foe,"
Lucite explained seriously:
"The invention I developed—the ’Mana Coloring Sphere’—only requires a partial infusion of magic power. Through specialized goggles, it can display an individual’s entire outline. Not only that, I’ve set up a networking interface that also analyzes similar magic and shows the paths of magic powers, making it easy to locate soldiers who are lost on the battlefield. Especially when fighting against interstellar civilizations, they can’t crack our thods."
"—This thing is very useful!"
Upon hearing this, Hobbs imdiately showed his respect:
"Lucite, you’re a genius. This device can not only be implented in battlefields—think about it, during irresistible disasters like earthquakes and floods, who knows how many people go missing. If rescue teams could use these, they could quickly verify the missing people."
Creeeak Creeeak—
A man wearing a duckbill hat and mask nearby suddenly shivered, Lucite and Hobbs glanced over but didn’t mind it and continued their fervent discussion.
"And kidnapping."
Lucite said:
"Human trafficking and slavery are not uncommon even among the stars, to say the least, the advent of the interstellar era has actually fueled the rampant growth of traffickers. If this technology could be applied... it could help those families who have lost children, to reunite with their loved ones."
"This is truly good stuff, other things can be fabricated, but magic cannot."
Hobbs was quite sharp-minded:
"What do you plan to do? This item can totally hit the market, whether we hand it over to workshop teachers for cooperative production, or start our own business, both options are promising—maybe we could tap into the interstellar market and then we’d be making Ammonium Gold!"
Thud!
A book fell to the ground, and the man in the duckbill hat suddenly dropped his head down, freezing rigidly in place. Red and black patterns erged on the skin not covered by clothes, and his elbow area bulged slightly as if sothing sharp was growing out.
The two were so engrossed in their conversation that they completely disregarded the noises around them.
"Oh, I plan to give it to Leoz."
Lucite casually said:
"Without Leoz sending the invitation card from the Alchemy Club, I wouldn’t have had the chance to create this thing."
"I understand that."
Hobbs frowned:
"But Lucite, your family situation isn’t too good, right—"
"It’s okay, I actually plan to continue researching."
Lucite didn’t mind, instead, he got excited and picked up the goggles, introducing them:
"Of course, I’m not a fool. Although I’ll give the technology and patent of the Mana Coloring Sphere to Leoz, the goggles are also my invention, we could continue to make money by collaborating later!"
"Goggles? Indeed, selling these two items separately, charging separate fees for patents that must be used in conjunction, this would ensure sales volu..."
Should one say Lucite is indeed a genius? Although he appears quite honest, his intelligence is certainly not low.
Hobbs stroked his chin:
"Speaking of which, you haven’t described what these goggles do yet."
"About that, let tell you the truth, I feel it’s going to be even more incredible than the Mana Coloring Sphere. I’ve added quite a few features at this stage."
Lucite put on the goggles, and the alchemy equipnt automatically adjusted to fit his and the Human Race’s distinct head shape. Shortly after, the goggles emitted a faint glow, and the spells inside surged with activity:
"Now, the goggles can perform scans on targets, recognizing their information. It can link multiple people’s viewpoints and reconnaissance data, and through repeated comparisons and analysis by the Mana Brain, it cos up with answers. Moreover, I equipped it to learn a lot about military equipnt and the species information of humanoid targets, like now, when I look at that man reading beside us—"
He excitedly turned his head to look aside, but the view through the goggles suddenly went black.
"Eh? Could there be so problem?"
Lucite was puzzled.
"Old Lu!" Hobbs shouted out loud.
Then, a clear line of information flashed on the goggles:
[Target: Bio-weaponry ’Blood Pressure Condensing Cannon’ muzzle]
[Caliber analysis: 20mm]
[Power: 95000 joules per shot]
Gurgle.
The sound of rapidly moving flesh resounded, and blood condensed, being shot out under high pressure.
Bang!
Hobbs’ head was instantly hit by a high-pressure blood blast, causing a spray of red mist to burst.
Splat—
Red blood splattered on Hobbs’ face. He instinctively squinted his eyes as the sll of blood spread through the air, montarily leaving him gasping for breath.
Steam andered up.
His eyes sared with blood, he could only see glimpses through the slits, barely making out the attacker’s appearance: the attacker slowly began to peel off the tattered clothing disguise, revealing augnted muscular flesh, a biologically textured armored suit breathing with him rhythmically.
The mask and duckbill hat had already fallen to the ground, his—its face split open down the middle, blooming sideways like flower petals, revealing densely packed teeth similar to those of a lamprey, a long and terrifying tongue protruding from within. The tip of the tongue rapidly mutated, growing an eye with a red sclera and black pupil.
Hobbs rely locked gaze with that eye for a mont, the eye instantly changed, casting a beautiful aquamarine shade, blossoming deep within it.
It was as if a crescent moon had ascended, pure and bright.
"Ah, Baizhu Star!"
A voice rang out above Trevela, and at the sa ti, nurous people rushing into the campus suddenly exploded into action, revealing their true nature as Growth-armored Vanguards. Their arms transford into compressed blood bio-weaponry, aid at passersby and students, pulling the internal muscle triggers.
Gurgle gurgle gurgle gurgle!
Bright red bullets wildly sprayed across the campus, countless students enjoying the tranquil campus life were slaughtered instantly. With no ti to cast magic, without any alarms, everyone was slain in a mont by the precision strikes of the Growth-armored Vanguard.
"Hehehehehe haha————"
A creepy, shrill laughter sounded:
"The long-missed Canyue rises again!"
