"Damn!"
Flana’s back went cold, drenched in cold sweat.
Through the monitor, she saw the cloud cover over the western hemisphere of Kalanze being carved away by two-thirds.
If she hadn’t reacted in ti, fleeing back to the guidance track in the assault pod, she would have surely been dragged back down to the surface.
Falling from an altitude of 300,000 ters and making an intimate contact with the ground would be quite a scene of a bloody spectacle.
"Anyway, the task is complete, right?"
For so reason, she had been calling out to Li Aozi, but there was no response at all.
"How could such an accident happen..."
The assault pod was towed back to the space station, and Flana stepped onto her private ship, hurriedly calling out to Li Aozi through the powerful onboard communicator:
"Mr. Leoz? Mr. Leoz, are you there? I can’t detect your signal..."
But even the ship’s instrunts couldn’t get in touch with the employer.
"This is strange... where did he go?"
Flana looked out the window—the shocking atmospheric phenonon over Kalanze had attracted a lot of attention and still hadn’t dispersed.
She switched to the public channel, gathering information. Before long, she heard the ergency harboring notifications broadcasted:
"Attention all travelers! Attention all travelers! Our space station is suffering from unknown gravity wave interference, and the port and interstellar lanes are temporarily closed. We have detected individuals from an unknown organization fighting in space, in the target area D-A-C (103, 143, 14559)... For your personal safety, please avoid approaching."
Flana blinked:
"Fighting?"
Bang!
Li Aozi tore through the ripples, erging from the atmosphere as a solitary figure. The gravity barrier in front of him easily distorted spaceti, creating a discontinuous band of ti—so were stagnant, so slowed, and so accelerated.
Spaceti abilities belonged to the advanced category in the cosmos, and gravity was the most superior within spaceti abilities. For an Echoer, montarily distorting spaceti was as instinctual as eating and drinking.
Once the unstable band of ti was deployed, it quickly wreaked havoc on the surrounding environnt. So civilian routes were affected by the distortion, leading to imdiate malfunction of computer programs, which grounded them in place, drifting silently in space. Panicked voices surged back and forth on the public channel, causing huge panic, and to a certain extent, also cloaked his presence.
But Li Aozi knew that such tricks wouldn’t deceive for long.
Hum————
The next mont, a blue-purple wave rift cut through the layers of the atmosphere, and its violent roar surged through the thin air, unleashing an endless echo.
"You—co back here!"
Liue’s roar was like a storm, echoing between the heaven and earth. As a holder of Arcane Energy of gravity and also an Echoer, standing at a higher level, her montum was far stronger than Li Aozi’s.
She didn’t choose to jump into space but simply and brutally used gravity as a slingshot to fling herself into the cosmos, tracing a beautiful red line in the heavens—that was the pure heat of friction, creating a thermal barrier.
"Sure enough, she’s still coming after , and so quickly too," Li Aozi mused and turned around as a series of settlent information swiftly passed before his eyes.

Finally, it was over.
Although threatening people is both low and despicable, it did have a good effect.
Thanks to the fact that Liue’s students were relatively naive and kind, they never really wanted to be involved in their forr ntor’s research. Now, intimidated by Li Aozi, they didn’t hesitate much and all agreed not to co to her aid anymore.
Unexpected, yet reasonable.
Liue was still unaware of the fact that no reinforcents are coming. She solely focused on quickly reaching the near-Earth orbit, coordinating with the upcoming cosmic aid, aiming to capture this runaway fellow, thus missing the pri opportunity.
—She should have thrown Li Aozi to the ground and tied him up with Zhuo.
Li Aozi fought back while effortlessly checking other ssages:
