"This guy..."

From a distance, Luther saw Li Aozi’s back and his eye twitched imdiately.

He had almost missed the pre-examination physical check, while Li Aozi was still joking and laughing with friends. Rembering the nightmare that had haunted him all night, Luther felt even more upset.

"But what does arriving early matter? The exam lasts for five full days, I have enough ti to adjust my condition. For a newbie like you taking it for the first ti, this is your only ti to relax."

Luther muttered.

Each day of the exam could last up to 12 hours, a true marathon in the realm of exams, with a mass of objective questions and a strict examination setting. For ordinary people whose will and ntal power aren’t strong, they couldn’t last long before they would break down and cry.

Moreover, this wasn’t just any simple exam. If ’Leo’ thought he could cram at the last minute, relying on luck and his ager knowledge to scrape through, that was incredibly naive.

Li Aozi noticed soone watching him and glanced up, spotting Luther in the crowd who instinctively lowered his head, not daring to et his gaze.

[I only beat him up a few tis, he shouldn’t be this cowardly, right?]

"What a joke! How could I possibly lack aptitude!? I’ve been using magic for over ten years, and you’re telling I have no aptitude?"

Suddenly, a commotion erupted from a testing team nearby, drawing the attention of Li Aozi and others – they saw a student being thrown out of the testing room.

"What’s all the noise about? Don’t disturb the others’ tests."

A mage maintaining order muttered as he slowly walked out from the testing room.

"Damn it! This is a setup! I’m going to report you all!" the student, filled with righteous indignation, trembled with anger and loudly accused, "How can soone who has used magic for years have no magical aptitude?"

"Suit yourself, but the result won’t change. This test’s accuracy is a hundred percent, even if you appeal to the highest mory, it’s useless," said the mage, sighing, "Honestly, it’s just that you don’t have the aptitude for college, not that you can’t use magic. With your IQ and comprehension skills, you’d better not even try."

"You all wait! My uncle is at the police station—"

With a wave of his hand from the mage, the student’s figure was imdiately teleported away.

"Always blabbering on..." the mage grumbled, "I’ve said it multiple tis, this result can’t possibly be wrong. Do you think anyone would enjoy scrutinizing your brain repeatedly with a magnifying glass?"

"Every year we have to deal with a few idiots, don’t we, Mage Kadish?" soone nearby joked.

"Can’t help it, so people just refuse to accept reality. Mages are the elite of society, and anyone slightly unfit should just honestly go grind crystals in the workshop," the mage shook his head.

The disturbance quickly subsided, but it left many people unsettled in their previously calm minds.

[Mages really are as noble as always... The gap between a common magic laborer and a formal mage in terms of strength, treatnt, and status is just too large.]

"Candidate number ZX120094, please step forward."

While Li Aozi was deep in thought, the dical magic examiner suddenly called out his candidate number, and he imdiately turned and walked into the testing room.

"Just a mont," the assistant mage stopped Li Aozi, "We’re just finalizing the results for the previous one; you’re up next."

The testing room wasn’t filled with complex equipnt; a mage dressed in a blue-purple uniform sat behind a desk with a crystal ball in front, connected to a projection screen. The examinee being tested had both hands on the crystal ball, eyes tightly closed, as the subcutaneous nerves pulsed faintly with light.

The mage frowned, focusing on operating the projection and cross-checking the information on the screen before writing down the results on the testing form next to him:

"That will do, congratulations, you’re a promising candidate for construction. Go on and prepare for your exam."

The Mage signed the paperwork, the examinee imdiately sighed in relief, thanked him, and hurried toward the examination hall. The Mage rubbed his temples and said,

"Next."

Upon hearing this, Li Aozi stepped forward and sat opposite the Mage, who looked at Li Aozi with surprise:

"Hey, young man, you’re quite handso. Don’t get assigned to the Philosophy Academy; the won there might go crazy seeing you."

"You flatter ," Li Aozi smiled, and under the Mage’s guidance, placed his hand on the crystal ball in front of him.

"The constitution monitoring will scan your spiritual power to more precisely determine your casting aptitude. The accuracy is one hundred percent, so don’t worry about any issues. If you have doubts about the results, you can apply for another test after enrollnt."

The Mage adjusted Li Aozi’s head, asking him to focus straight ahead, and lightly pressed on both sides of his occiput, attaching sothing similar to electrodes on the Fengchi acupuncture points.

"Are you ready? The test will start imdiately."

"I am ready," Li Aozi said calmly.

The next mont, the Mage activated the crystal ball. A cold sensation imdiately perated from the palm of his hand, rapidly traveling along the nerves of his body until it reached his brain.

A series of light spots imdiately lit up before Li Aozi’s eyes. His consciousness collided with so material and then received so information. Instinctively reacting, that special material quickly dissipated. Li Aozi’s neck stiffened slightly as he felt his pineal gland protruding and trembling, and then slowly radiating new sensory lines.

Beep-beep-beep-beep—

A series of data lit up on the screen.

"Huh, have you never awakened to spiritual power?"

The testing Mage was quite surprised.

"No."

Li Aozi always found it sowhat strange; his mode of perception seed to abruptly change. Following that, it was as if a new understanding erged in his mind.

Even with his eyes closed, he felt that he could see dozens of ters away, listen through walls to the exchanges of other examinees, and observe through buildings to see the doves on a distant rooftop.

"Truly unusual. With no spiritual power to cast magic, haven’t you found it cumberso all these years?" the Mage clucked in wonder: "I just awakened it for you. Hold on a mont while I write out your test results."

Li Aozi removed his hand and suddenly felt a wave of dizziness. He slumped into the chair, gripping the armrests and took several deep breaths, as his vision blurred with alternating double images.

"Uh... I feel a bit dizzy."

Li Aozi held his forehead, his voice echoed as if overlapping constantly, becoming incredibly deep.

"Dizziness is normal since magic passed through your brain area, but no worries, it will pass in a couple of minutes."

The Mage spoke lightly while beginning to transcribe his information.

"Hm, not bad..."

Li Aozi shook his head, even though the Magician was sitting right across from him, he felt the other’s voice becoming incredibly distant.

"I... uh... I feel sothing is wrong." Li Aozi bent over, his golden hair falling down, his erald eyes shimring nonstop, the iris faintly showing bursting patterns.

Overflowing... Overflowing... Overflowing...

His brain seed to boil like water, bubbling tumultuously.

—What is this feeling?

He raised his hand, only to find his skin had beco like porcelain, devoid of any wrinkles and softness; upon closer inspection, he realized he was no longer in any testing room.

He was kneeling on the ground, his gaze falling, as the golden micro light spread into a sea, continuously blooming on the retina in front of him.

A young girl stood gracefully, her figure indistinguishable in detail, impossible to describe what kind of posture she had.

She was facing him casually, standing far away, speaking with three mysterious figures who were turned away from him.

............

"—This guy is not a good person, but in my eyes, He is a respectable being."

"He is not powerful or outstanding. The God of the Present World is actually just a common deity who maintains domains, and His teor Fall Technique was learned through hard effort in combat with ."

"But why was He chosen among the Pantheon?"

............

What was that.

The air that had just swept past his ear solidified and conveyed three distinctly different voices.

"He is also about to die; the weak can really..."

A tall and robust man, majestic like a sovereign, said mockingly.

"So, how should we deal with him?"

A man in white clothes and a fox mask said pitifully.

"... Invading soone else’s territory should co with the preparedness of being pushed to the capital."

The girl suddenly rushed in front of him, raised her palm, and placed it on his chest.

"Resist—provoke—oppress, along with the soul, obliterate."

Bang!

Li Aozi suddenly stiffened. He opened his mouth wide, his form retreating continuously; he seed to be traveling through countless spacetis, overlapping, with imnse pressure stretching him into countless silhouettes.

Argh... heh heh... uh uh...

This feels awful, just as if soone blasted a shot at my head.

"Damn, Mr. Mage, there’s sothing wrong with my head—"

Li Aozi clutched his head; his breathing beca labored, his back soaked with cold sweat, a strange tallic taste spreading in his mouth.

...............

"Relax, young man, this is just the awakening of spiritual power, digging up so forgotten mories all at once—you can think of it as the brain needing to restart, a self-check of the mory. Here, assistant, take him aside to rest."

Seeing the severe reaction from Li Aozi, the Magician spoke to his assistant.

"Co with ," the assistant approached Li Aozi, touched his shoulder, "Let’s go, I’ll take you to rest—"

Before he could finish speaking, a voice resounded from the bottom of his heart without the slightest emotion.

"Don’t touch , mortal."

The assistant was taken aback.

"—Hmm?"

Subsequently, Li Aozi slowly stood up from his position; he parted the chaotic golden hair hanging in front of his forehead, revealing deep blue-green eyes.

His lips tightly shut, the facial features seed like re decorations, casually turning his head, the Magician imdiately locked eyes with those strange blue-green eyes—perhaps it was an illusion, but to the Magician conducting the test, it seed the green in those eyes was constantly receding.

Instead, a deep blue like the starry sky was continuously spreading.

"Result."

Li Aozi did not open his mouth; the commanding words imdiately resounded in the other’s mind:

Unexpectedly, the experienced Magician subconsciously stood up, his hands presenting the test results to Li Aozi, displaying all the information:
