Muchen nodded, glancing at his master approaching. Sha made him lower his head. “Master, I failed. I couldn’t pull the sword.”
He had tried, again and again, but the sword simply wouldn’t budge. In the end, he had even fainted, forcing his master to dive in and rescue him.
Hmm. At that mont, he still didn’t know that the ancient divine sword had carried him up. He thought he had fainted in the sea and that his master had dived down to save him.
Hearing this, the Azure Emperor’s lips curved slightly, revealing an almost imperceptible smile.
“Second Brother, look at this,” Yue’er said with a smile, gesturing toward the sword stuck in the ground nearby.
“This sword brought you out of the sea,” Hao’er added, a hint of amusent in his own smile.
Muchen froze, glancing over. When his gaze landed on the Dragon Abyss Sword, he stared blankly, a flicker of shock crossing his face. “I… I clearly rember not pulling it out.”
“The ancient divine sword Dragon Abyss—do you truly believe it can be drawn at will? It is the sword that chooses its master, never the other way around.” The Azure Emperor’s deep, indifferent voice echoed. He gazed at the Dragon Abyss Sword, stepped forward, and drew it from its sheath. A thread of energy coalesced from his fingertips, sweeping across the blade’s surface. He then handed it to Muchen, saying, “From this mont onward, this sword belongs to you.”
“Thank you, Master!” Muchen’s heart surged with emotion. He stood up, both hands clasping the Dragon Abyss Sword.
“Second Senior Brother, hurry and perform the blood ritual to bind it!” Yue’er said with a beaming smile, her heart brimming with joy. Her brother had found such a splendid weapon!
Thus, under the envious gazes of the surrounding cultivators, Muchen perford the blood ritual to bind the sword. After the binding, he felt an indescribable connection deepen between himself and the Dragon Abyss Sword in his grasp.
“Master, now that Second Brother has such a splendid sword, what about Big Brother?” Yue’er asked with a bright smile. Her brother possessed the ancient divine sword Dragon Abyss, while hers was the Divine Whip. Their master had found them both top-tier treasures. At this mont, she couldn’t help but anticipate what weapon their Big Brother would receive.
“His sword, naturally, is no ordinary object,” Azure Emperor said, folding his arms as he gazed into the distance. Then, turning to Hao’er, he added, “Co. I shall take you to retrieve it.”
“Yes!” Hao’er responded, a smile lighting up her face as anticipation welled within her heart.
However, just as the master and disciples prepared to depart, the surrounding cultivators closed in, refusing to make way.
