886: Chapter 876 A Grand Yet Wrong Party

“””

As dusk fell, the party officially began.

Gao Yang and his group had been inside the house the whole ti, oblivious to the busy preparations outside, because Little Donnie had adamantly prevented them from going out to take a look or lend a hand.

So, when twilight finally dimd, and Little Donnie pulled them out the back door, Gao Yang was imdiately dumbfounded.

Little Donnie’s taste was sowhat unconventional.

It was supposed to be a casual family gathering or just an internal celebration for Satan’s crowd to have fun, but Little Donnie turned it into a grand, bizarre carnival.

There were more guests invited by Little Donnie than mbers of the Satan rcenary Corps.

Cold dishes were self-serve, hot dishes were ho-style barbecues, but there were professionals in charge of the barbecue.

At a party intended for twelve, there were six waiters holding trays.

The most outrageous part was seeing groups of seductive won pouring in under their watchful eyes—more than twenty of them.

Of course, Little Donnie hadn’t forgotten the two female mbers of Satan; he’d also invited four handso n.

If it had just been that, you couldn’t say Little Donnie’s taste was all that strange.

Fine gentlen and beautiful ladies for company, and plenty of good wine—these were the makings of a lavish party thrown by a rich man.

What was truly bizarre was that Little Donnie had hired two bands.

One was a classical style chamber orchestra, suited for accompanying ballroom dances, and the other was a rousing electronic music band.

Obviously not a famous band, just the kind that would play regular gigs at a bar and add to the atmosphere of the party, the kind that could get people excited and dancing wildly.

As if this wasn’t enough, Little Donnie also hired a DJ.

Each elent of the evening party was normal in isolation, but put together, they were anything but normal.

Yet, it was just like Little Donnie to cobble together such an incongruous mix.

What a ss, was Gao Yang’s first reaction.

Looking at the unenclosed lawn teeming with people, a group of beautiful won waving, Gao Yang couldn’t help but turn his head to look at Glolov.

As it happened, Glolov was also looking towards Gao Yang, and the two exchanged glances.

Just then, Little Donnie said to Gao Yang with an excited face, “Buddy, don’t get the wrong idea.

The beauties are just for the ambiance.

If you’ve got the skills, you can try your luck at charming them.

But if you’re not up to it, don’t go thinking these won are for sale.

That would just make things awkward for everyone.

Also, I’ve notified the police and talked to the neighbors.

Tonight, you can make all the noise you want!

Shout all you want!

It won’t bother anyone, and there won’t be any cops coming, so let’s party, guys!”

After happily saying his piece, Little Donnie thought the others would rush to join him in the fun.

But after running forward a few steps, he turned in surprise to find that no one had followed.

Little Donnie looked back awkwardly, only to see that all the Satan rcenaries were still standing with shocked expressions, frozen in place.

Little Donnie said in confusion, “What’s wrong with you guys?

What are you waiting for?”

Gao Yang, looking conflicted, walked up to Little Donnie and whispered, “Buddy, what are you doing?

This was supposed to be a family gathering.

With all this, how can we let loose?

Co on, your mom is here too.

Don’t you find this extrely weird?”

Realization spread across Little Donnie’s face as he waved his hand, “Is that what you’re worried about?

Haha, no need at all.

My mom was the party queen in her youth, she loves this stuff.

Besides, it’s just a normal party.”

Gao Yang lowered his voice, annoyed, “Ass, Bruce and Lucica are together, how are they supposed to have fun?

I’m with Glolov.

Are you asking

to party hard in front of my father-in-law?

You’ve got to be kidding.”

Little Donnie chuckled a couple of tis before replying, “Buddy, you’re overthinking it.

Just us, how can we get the party started?

As for your concerns, heh heh, co with , co here, and you’ll see.”

Little Donnie tugged Gao Yang towards the most crowded spot.

Gao Yang glanced back, his head spinning with confusion, as Little Donnie pulled him to the center of the lawn.

Sothing felt off to Gao Yang, he couldn’t put his finger on what exactly, just a soldier’s instinct, the intuition of a veteran.

Gao Yang noticed many people’s gazes fixed on him, and after looking his way, they would reflexively shift their eyes aside, acting unnaturally.

Though Gao Yang didn’t suspect Little Donnie of having any ill intent, being eyed by so many strangers with strange gazes, his muscles tensed instinctively.

With every step he took, his toes trembled slightly, ready to kick out at any mont.

Once Little Donnie had dragged him in front of the crowd, Gao Yang observed the two stages set up, the smiling waiters, the attractive n and won hired for the event, and the chefs busy barbecuing.

He still felt that sothing wasn’t right.

“””

Just then, Little Donnie let go of Gao Yang’s hand, took a few steps to the side, and Frey suddenly said from behind Gao Yang, “Boss, look at this, hey, what’s this?”

As Gao Yang turned his head to look at Frey, his eyes were suddenly flashed with a blinding light, and when his vision was completely whitewashed, he heard several consecutive bangs behind him.

Gao Yang quickly closed his eyes, then fell forward to the ground, rolled over, and when he still couldn’t see anything, he swept his legs fiercely backward to prevent anyone from approaching, and bellowed, “Toad covers , everyone else run…”

“Happy Birthday!”

As Gao Yang was in the midst of a fearso roar, he heard the shouting of many people at once, although the latter half of their collective shout was sowhat uncoordinated and filled with surprise due to their astonishnt.

When Gao Yang stood there in amazent, he saw Frey and Rafael in front of him with shocked expressions, holding caras in their hands.

As Gao Yang turned around, the astonished faces of Glolov, Li Jinfang, and Eileen flashed before his eyes.

Turning back, he saw beauties holding champagne and a flurry of colorful confetti falling gently from the sky like snowflakes onto his head.

Gao Yang’s mouth fell open in surprise, exactly like the people looking at him.

At this mont, Little Donnie suddenly stepped forward, spread his arms wide, and shouted, “This is Huaxia Kung Fu!”

After a mont of silence, the screams rose again, and Gao Yang watched a group of unfamiliar beauties start to jump around, shouting “Happy Birthday!” while spraying confetti.

While the sound of cara shutters being clicked and the bright lights of the flash stunned his eyes once again, two bands and a DJ together created a very cheerful piece of music.

Accompanying the music, Little Donnie, holding a microphone, shouted, “Birthday cake, bring out our birthday cake!”

Gao Yang turned around once more, pointed to his nose with a face full of shock, and said, “My birthday?”

Eileen rushed forward with a clap, hugged Gao Yang tightly, and exclaid loudly, “Sir!

Happy Birthday!”

Gao Yang hadn’t celebrated his birthday in many years, and he thought he had truly forgotten that today was his birthday, so he said with great emotion, “You guys, how did you know my birthday?”

Cui Bo laughed loudly, “Brother Yang, I’ve celebrated your birthday with you before, rember?

I just recalled it a few days ago, and then everyone decided to give you a surprise.

How about it?

Shocking and delightful, right?

Originally, we didn’t plan to co to Little Donnie’s place but were going to surprise you at the Old Russian’s house.

After telling Little Donnie about it secretly, he took over the job!”

After thinking back a little bit, and carefully considering when his birthday was, Gao Yang walked over to Cui Bo, put his arm around Cui Bo’s neck with a smile, but said in a fiercely quiet voice, “You damn Rabbit, my birthday is on the seventh day of the eighth month of the Lunar Calendar, I don’t even know what day it is on the solar calendar, and today is the damn solar calendar’s August seventh.

What kind of birthday am I celebrating here?

And, did you want to scare

to death?

I almost made a fool of myself!”

Cui Bo was taken aback and said, “What?

Lunar Calendar?

Damn, I mixed it up, what do we do now?”

Gao Yang smiled fiercely and said, “What can we do now?

Let’s just go with the flow, just don’t say anything, and pretend today is my birthday, dammit.

It’s rare to have a lively ti like this, let’s just enjoy it.

Rember it correctly next ti, you bastard.”

After saying this, Gao Yang let go of Cui Bo, raised his arms and bellowed, “Thank you, thank you, I am very happy!

Thanks for the surprise you all gave !”

At this mont, Glolov was quite moved and said with a fatherly smile as he looked at Gao Yang, “Gao, happy birthday!

Go cut the cake.”

Gao Yang didn’t see the cake, but just then, the semi-circle of people parted, and Yelena wheeled out a cart.

On the cart was a multi-tiered large cake that made its way through the gap opened by the crowd.

Gao Yang didn’t count how many layers the cake was, because at that mont, he was dumbstruck.

Just then, Little Donnie, holding the microphone, shouted, “Who says this isn’t a family gathering?

Happy Birthday!

Long live, great Ram!

We love you!”

It wasn’t just Yelena and Natalia who ca; following them out from behind the crowd were also Frey’s mother and wife, Tommy’s girlfriend, and there were Catherine and Adele as well.

While Gao Yang was a bit dazed with surprise and emotion, he saw soone he absolutely didn’t expect – Morgan ca out, and Bob, and finally, a large chubby man holding a bottle of beer andered out from behind the crowd.

When he saw Gao Yang, the chubby man raised his bottle and said, “Hey, buddy, happy birthday, bet you didn’t expect to see .”

Behind the chubby Jack, another person Gao Yang didn’t expect erged – Simon held a long box and after giving it a shake towards Gao Yang, he smiled, “Hey, buddy, happy birthday.”

Gao Yang laughed, shook his head, then laughed again, ran his hands through his hair, and didn’t quite know where to put them.

He raised his hand in a rcenary salute and said, “You guys, wow, you guys, thank you, my friends, I love you.

Thank you all.”
