852: Chapter 843 Global Rapid Deploynt

“Go!

Go!

Go!”

Hebrew is the official language of Israel, but English is the lingua franca, and almost everyone knows it.

However, understanding and acting on it are not necessarily the sa thing.

Onboard a C-130 transport plane, with the cargo door wide open, rows of new soldiers gazed at the open hatch, wanting to jump, but finding it not so simple.

Ground training was one thing, but being up in the sky, at an altitude of two thousand ters, it required imnse courage to jump as if it were from the ground-based platform.

One soldier, who had perford notably during ground training and was selected to jump first, hesitated; his legs were trembling.

“GO!”

The noise from the airflow was so loud that one had no choice but to shout; after the instructor’s second shout, the first soldier finally closed his eyes, his legs trembling as he started moving towards the door.

He needed only two steps to plunge into the embrace of the blue sky, but his steps were slower than a snail’s.

As the first soldier was moving forward, the instructor finally lost his patience and kicked the soldier in the butt, after which the soldier, with a prolonged yell, fell out of the door.

For the first parachute jump, it wasn’t possible to pull the chute by oneself; the parachute’s ripcord was already attached to a steel cable, ensuring it would deploy imdiately once one jumped.

After kicking the first soldier out, the next recruit moved to the front.

The instructor checked the chest straps of the recruit’s parachute harness, then had the soldier turn around to check the straps on the back, and subsequently shouted, “Go!”

The second soldier was very brave; he did not hesitate and imdiately flew out, though he scread—perhaps shrieked—as he took his first step out of the plane from two thousand ters up.

A few soldiers were extrely brave and jumped right out at the command, which was quite normal.

Most, however, were not so brave; usually, after multiple commands from the instructor, they were kicked out, but this was also normal.

The specific reason wasn’t sothing one could find by bungee jumping, nor did it need to be too high; just a few hundred ters up, and one would understand.

Finally, it was Glolov’s turn.

Glolov hadn’t parachuted for over a decade, but as a paratrooper, jumping from an aircraft at high altitude was a common part of his mories.

“Go!”

Glolov actually didn’t need instruction; he was qualified enough to instruct others; in fact, he had always been teaching Gao and the others.

At the instructor’s command, Glolov, unable to wait, imdiately leaped from the aircraft.

“Who else but !

Hooray!”

Glolov, who hadn’t had an opportunity to parachute for many years, was too excited.

He shouted the slogan of his old unit in Russian before jumping.

After Glolov jumped, Eileen imdiately moved to the door of the cabin.

As the only mber of the Satan rcenary Corps with genuine and complete Special Forces training, she had experience parachuting, so jumping was not a problem for her.

When Eileen had also jumped, next up was Andy He.

Andy He, of the 2nd Foreign Infantry Regint of the French Foreign Legion.

Although it was one of the main units of the French Foreign Legion, it was unfortunately not the prestigious 2nd Foreign Parachute Regint, so this was also his first parachute jump.

Andy He perford quite well, as soone who sought thrills and enjoyed adventures.

The stimulating feeling of parachuting was exactly what he pursued.

Fourth was Rafael, an infantryman.

He peeked out, closed his eyes, and started to repeatedly cross himself on the chest, muttering prayers for God’s protection.

When the instructor gave the command, he jumped out with eyes closed, his face expressing determination.

Frey was sixth.

He had been the most active on the plane, but when it ca to actually parachuting, Frey’s legs trembled, and he moved awkwardly to the door.

Overly nervous, he didn’t follow protocol and jumped out before the instructor could do a final check on his parachute.

Jumping straight out was not a bad choice—without looking down or getting scared half to death at the door, Frey could escape his fear before it fully took hold, but his actions had consequences since he violated the disciplinary rules the instructor had repeatedly stressed before the jump.

Bringing soone to the door for a brief wait was not just for a final parachute check, those had been done countless tis already.

Most importantly, it was to let these first-ti jumpers really feel it or rather, to scare them properly.

Courage is built through experience—this was courage training.

The instructor, bitterly, crossed out Frey’s na and loudly called, “Next!”

Then ca Bruce.

He was sowhat afraid, but he did jump out by himself, and perford fairly well.

Next was Lucica.

She walked to the door expressionlessly, passed the instructor’s check, and jumped down without any expression, just as if she were walking into her bedroom.

Cui Bo walked excitedly to the door but after just one look down, he imdiately turned his head back.

One mont he was eager to try, standing at the door, but in the next, he completely lost his courage.

Seeing Cui Bo’s legs shake more and more, Gao couldn’t help but feel amused.

He thought Cui Bo, this big silly brave man, would jump without hesitating.

Turned out, when it ca to the final mont, he chickened out.

Cui Bo turned his skyward-facing head back and ignored the instructor’s second command, his body trembling as he turned away.

Then, the instructor pushed Cui Bo’s chest, forcing him out.

Cui Bo was the first to be pushed out of the plane, butt first.

Next was Li Jinfang.

Li Jinfang managed to remain relatively calm, although he was also a bit scared.

But upon the instructor’s command, he jumped out imdiately.

Gao Yang felt that Li Jinfang must have been scared, but being accustod to obeying orders, the mont he heard the command, he would have jumped even without a parachute on his back.

Finally, it was Tommy’s turn.

Tommy was acknowledged as the most problematic.

Both instructors and comrades believed that if anyone was truly unsuited to be an Airborne Soldier, it would be him.

Tommy’s fear of heights was too severe.

Whether it was rappelling from helicopters or practicing parachute jumps from high platforms, Gao Yang always had to stand behind him, doing nothing but waiting to kick him off.

Tommy was unsuitable for parachuting, but he had no choice but to jump.

Gao Yang was actually afraid that one day when they really had to parachute, it wouldn’t be too bad if Tommy peed his pants from fear.

There was also the possibility that he could be scared to death mid-air.

However, the Satan rcenary Corps could not do without Tommy the phenonal gunner, and Tommy also refused to give up fighting alongside Satan due to his psychological defects.

Thus, he struggled day by day.

Tommy took a step and paused, stopping three ters away from the cabin door, unable to move forward.

He stopped, his legs shaking violently, and closed his eyes.

The instructor shouted, “Worker Bee!

You know nothing will happen.

Jump for !”

With a cry in his voice, Tommy stamred, “I can’t do it, can’t do it, I really can’t.”

The instructor yelled again, “Co here!”

After Tommy shook his head, he suddenly fell to the ground and scread, “Help!”

Seeing Tommy’s condition, both Gao Yang and the instructor were stunned.

They knew Tommy’s fear of heights was severe and that every simulated parachute jump was difficult for him, but he had never seed as pitiful as today.

Gao Yang and the instructor exchanged a look, finding helpless expressions on each other’s faces.

Gao Yang sighed and said, “Tommy, you need to try to overco your psychological barriers.”

The plane kept circling.

Although it wasn’t facing anti-aircraft fire from the ground and wasting a bit of fuel wasn’t a big problem, dragging on too long definitely wasn’t good.

The instructor sternly said, “Stand up!

Jump down!”

The floor of the cabin was very smooth, and Tommy, like a drowning person grasping for a lifeline, frantically scrambled on the floor while shrieking in a high-pitched voice, “I won’t jump!

Help!

Spare , please spare !

Help!”

In the instructor’s career, he had never t anyone as affected by acrophobia as Tommy.

Those who were wouldn’t be selected as parachutists.

After sighing, the instructor signaled to Gao Yang with a lifting gesture.

Gao Yang sighed and moved forward with the instructor to lift Tommy.

After they lifted him, Tommy’s arms and legs struggled fiercely, but by then the instructor had already grasped Tommy’s waist from behind.

“Jump yourself!”

After shouting at Gao Yang, the instructor with Tommy in tow, took several steps back, and since kicking down was no longer an option, the instructor leapt outwards, dragging Tommy along, and they both plunged out of the plane together.

Gao Yang was startled, but he was not very worried.

Of course, the instructor had a parachute on too.

However, now, the cargo plane’s cabin was left with only him inside.

“F**k!

Why is there only one instructor on board!

Damn, I’m just a rookie too!”

Gathering courage, he walked to the cabin door.

After peeking down, his legs imdiately went numb.

Knowing what to do and actually being able to do it are two different things.

Gao Yang knew jumping had risks, but the danger was absolutely within an acceptable range.

Yet, knowing that and instinctively not daring to jump were two different matters.

If you don’t believe it, go try bungee jumping.

Gao Yang gathered his courage, thinking to make it quick.

He closed his eyes, kicked his legs, and thought he could finish it by jumping, but after involuntarily opening his eyes to look out, his courage faded again.

Gao Yang didn’t want to wait any longer.

After looking back into the empty cabin, he steeled his heart, walked back several steps, scread, and bolted toward the door.

Just as he felt the ground vanish beneath his feet and involuntarily let out a terrified scream, he suddenly felt a huge hand lift him up.

Gao Yang opened his eyes, first looking above his head.

Upon seeing the parachute open, his heart, which had almost leapt out of his chest, imdiately settled down.

Looking down, although there was nothing beneath his feet, after drifting in the air, he felt no trace of fear.

Following fear, excitent and joy ca surging in.

Listening to the whistling wind around his ears and watching the earth below grow larger, Gao Yang excitedly shouted, “Ah!

I did it!

From now on, the Satan rcenary Corps has global rapid deploynt capabilities!”
