The black mist was Heart’s Malice, and it allowed him to regenerate his lost Qi and injuries. As a result, he could create as many dark balls as he wanted, and Leo couldn’t stop them from appearing.
’That’s cheating!’ Leo shouted in his mind as he used lightning to propel himself faster to the ground.
Fighting Heart near the Capital was dangerous. Each of their exchanges created shockwaves that shook the earth and caused tremors that would scare the citizens. He didn’t want that.
He landed on the ground and looked up to the sky where Heart floated. There was an angry expression on his face as he pointed the handgun at the boy and pulled the trigger. A photon bullet, riddled with lightning, flew at the speed of light and hit him.
An explosion rocked the sky, but Leo didn’t stop and shot the handgun until it was empty.
"Leader!"
A voice called out to him. He looked behind and saw Sherly, Jessica, and Anya running toward him. They probably arrived after seeing the strange darkness filling the area earlier.
It was actually perfect. Leo could use their help.
"Jessica, bind that guy in the sky. Anya, help find a way to kill him. And Sherly, do sothing about the fog. It keep him regenerating endlessly!"
The trio’s expression changed as they heard the order. They nodded and began their task. Anya created ice claws around her hands and jumped into the air. She moved as if she was flying and reached the young boy.
At the sa ti, Sherly raised her staff and shouted.
"Tornado!"
A powerful vortex appeared from the end of her staff. It blew the fog away and dispersed it, but it couldn’t destroy it. It kept coming back and regenerated.
But at the very least, Sherly could keep the fog from the surrounding area. At the sa ti, Jessica’s thread used the wind to reach Heart.
