Ishiki looked at the person sitting right in front of him and he felt very distant all of a sudden.
Kenji had received so much vital information and he had gained only questions.
He sighed and sat back down asked in a grim tone. "You ntioned there were two Orbs?"
"According to the journal, yes. The Emperor had one. The other... was always with the Dragon." Kenji shrugged helplessly. "there is no ntion of where the one the old Emperor had, is."
"Go ahead..." Ishiki nodded for Kenji to continue.
But before he could speak, Ishiki opened his mouth and started again. "Wait a minute... I have a question. Can anyone with the Orb beco the Emperor?"
Kenji looked at him for a long mont and then shrugged. "I don’t know much. But as far as I think that shouldn’t be the case. There should be sothing other than just the Orbs."
Having heard this answer, Ishiki nodded without pressing the matter further. This detail didn’t matter much to start with... they just needed to kill the dragon and go back to earth.
"There was another event..." Kenji started speaking and suddenly stopped, his eyes narrowing. "... It is a very strange event. It is a ss to be honest. I could not make heads or tails of it. It is related to the Demigod of -"
Suddenly the person sitting in front of Ishiki disappeared into thin air as if it had never been present there.
Ishiki was stunned for a mont before he collected his thoughts and cald down. He sat there alone in the glow of the candle, the yellow-orange light illuminated his face and projected deep shadows behind that blended into darkness.
’*So a clone made up of air... so that’s how he managed to trick Ghost Blade. Impressive... and he has a skill related to air? Or maybe clones? ’
This simple fact rose many questions. Why was Kenji trying to hide his skills all this ti? Maybe it was related to his corruption or he had so similar protocol as Ishiki.
’Leaving that... he did tell a few important things. It is a catastrophe... if the dragon knows that he can bring back the dead to life. It would be over for us. Why would the Angel, which I know was the son of the God... kill his own father and even the Emperor.’
’There is a simple answer to that obviously... the god was corrupted and hence was about to loose control. So to save everyone the supposed Angel of Charity killed his own father. This makes complete sense. But I dare believe that the truth is so simple.’
As he contemplated further on the matter... he caught on to sothing. If the Journal was so detailed to give all this information. Then shouldn’t it also have the reason to this question as well?
’Also there is this serious one... If the Emperor was long dead. Then whom did the High priest of the cathedral in Secondary Ring et? And why was the skeleton still alive? Is it sothing related to the Orb. And another major question... why was the dragon imprisoned in the Secondary Ring? Is there sothing even more dangerous beneath the Cathedral in the Inner Ring.’
Ishiki’s body involuntarily shuddered at the thought.
But at the end all that could only be revealed by going to the cathedral and reading so docunts there. Maybe the High Priest of the Inner Ring kept such diaries as well.
And Ishiki dared not go there without preparations. He rembered that he had co ho to check on his progress.
After taking a few shallow breaths... Ishiki summoned the system window and saw as the platinum hued window materialized into reality in front of his eyes.

Ishiki calmly read the whole interface without showing much emotions. He was now at level 17.
His basic ability stats had reached at 29... Except his charisma.

It was no secret that If a player reached level 50 alone... they would have enough power to wreck havoc. So normal humans who were not selected by the Neural Matrix system will have no choice but to live under them.
’That is to say that the system won’t just select everybody that survived the fall and force them into this hell. If such a situation arises where every other human has super power... Earth would as well just blast on its own.’
While it would maintain a balance amongst people... it would also create problems.
Considering the nature of humans... there was no way that such a society would thrive. Well, Earth was dood either way... even if everyone had powers and even if they didn’t, the end result would still be the sa.
Inhumane power in hands of Humans is never a good thing.
Ishiki let out a tired sigh and focused back onto the system screen. He rembered that he received a new vestige after he killed the High priest in the Cathedral, of the Secondary Ring.
Ishiki focused on the Vestige option and a new screen manifested over the main window.
