At Amberfell airport,

Nicholas alighted. He moved with quiet grace. His expression was a bit complicated, but his gaze was steady along with his steps. Mr. North walked beside, and the duo drew quite the attention to themselves, albeit not what they wanted. Exiting a private jet also contributed to the curiosity in the eyes of those who saw them as they tried to put a na to the face.

"Welco, Elder Legend," the driver who had been waiting for their arrival freeted with a respectful bow.

"How has things been here while I was away?" Nicholas asked. He has been awat for barely a day, but the way he asked that question, it was as if he had been gone for a long ti.

"Everything is perfect, sir. Just as they wete before you left," the driver replied politely, and Nicholas nodded his head. "This way, sir," he led them to the car thay had been parked bait far from the entrance.

While inside the car, Nicholas was the sa as he was throughout the flight. He was silent. Too silent. Even for a man whi didn’t talk much. His expression was hard to read and his gaze appear distant. But none of tye other two n dared to ask him what bothered him.

Nucholas was still reflecting on his encounter with Trevor. Every second of his stay at tye Goldmans, Nicholas couod see just how close the grave Trevor was and how despreatl6 he was trying to make thing right before he finally left this world. In a month ans three weeks, it would Juliette’s morial. He rembered what Williams had co to discuss with hom just a while back and he realized that he also needed to fix so things.

He needed to let go of the past. The grudges, anger and pain along with his hatred towards the Crawfords. More specifically, Williams. He would have too much to regret if he was to suddenly die without fixing the relationship between them. His daughter once loved that man and now now his grandson has that man’s blood running through his veins.

Thinking of it now, Trevor and Williams had similar stories but with different endings. Sa as Shelly and his daughter Juliette. They loved n much older than them and they died before the n. Both tragically. Murdered by those who were jealous and stand it.

"Julliette..." Nicholas uttered his daughter’s na. His mind almost caved in as tye mories of how she died returned to his mind. It was vivid as if it had only happened recently.

Mr North heard the Nicholas called and he began to worry. Turning around, he found Nicholas searching through his phone and he didn’t need to be a genius to know what the man was looking for. "Drive a bit faster," he said in a low voice to the driver. If Nicholas was to experience one of his mtdowns, they needed to get him ho before that.

"I am sorry," Nicholas whispered. He had always blad himslef for allowing her to marry a man who had lost his wife but he also knew he couldn’t stop her. His thumb caressed her photo on his phone’s screen as if he was touching the actual peraon.
