Legend Corp,

Sara was seated on the sofa and Alex beside her when the doctors walked in. One was a man in his late fifties while the other was still relatively young.

"This way," Kai ushered thek into what looker like a conference room. Inside were Sara and Alex, who raised their heads towards the door when it creaked open.

"Mr Legend," the doctors greeted, and Alex replied with a hum. He looked at Sara and gave her an encouraging nod.

"Dr Walter, here is your attending doctor. He is here to make sure that you are physically fit," he introduced the younger man of the two. Sara looked at him and felt hik to be familiar but couldn’t quite recall where she must have seen him. "And thay is Dr Anders. He is your psychologist," Alex’s words pulled her out of her thoughts, and her eyes darted to the older man.

"It’s nice to et you. Thank you for taking the ti out to et ," Sara said as she stood and reached a hand for a handshake. "I trust i am good hands," she said with a polite smile, which they both returned.

"Of course, Mrs Legend. We would do it our best," Dr Anders said, shaking her hand, but Sara beca rigid at the way he addressed her. She took a sneaky glance at Alec and found smiling proudly as if that title was hers.

She wanted to correct him, but seeing the expression on the face Alex, she couldn’t bring herself to wipe that smile off his face. In the end, she let the mistake be.

"Thank you, Dr. Walter. I have been told of what you did for , and I am grateful" Sara dure eted her attention to the other man who smiles warmly at her while also shaking her hand.

"It my duty, Ma’am," he replied, and Sara returned his smile.

"Plaee sit down," she offered.

As they took their seats and about to begin, Kai cleared his throat, bringing their attention back to himself.

"Sir, it is almost ti for the first appointnt of the day, and the representatives are already here," he inford ajdnAlex frowned.

"I don’t rember approving any appointnt this early," Alex said, not wanting to leave Sara alone. But the complicated look in Kai’s eyes had him rethinking.

"I couldn’t turn him down, Alex," Kai said in a pleading tone. Alex furrowed his brows and asked.

"Who?"

"...It’s your father," Kai replied, and the crease between Alex’s brows deepened.

"...." he stood up, gave a glance at Sara who smiled at him, and he nodded before following Kai out oahd back to the office."Why would he co here when he could have called for ?"

Kai looked at him, not sure how to put it. Wasn’t he aware of what was happening? "It has to do with... you will know after talking with him," he changed his mind mid sentence. He gave a sheepish grin at him and excused himself. "I will go and escort them in, Sir. Please excuse ," he said with a smirk that was only returned with cold glare.

Kai didn’t wait for Alex to reply and briskly turned in the direction of the elevator leaving Alex to stare at his back.after standing in the sa spot for almost a minute, Alex opened the door to his office and went inside.

anwhile, Dr Walter began examining Sara, who remained silent watching him and answering any question that he asked. After several minutes, he stopped and sat opposite her.

"Is everything okay, Dr Walter?" Sara asked when he didn’t say anything for a while. She saw him smile and nodded at her, and his shoulders started to relax.

"Yes. Your body is physically fine. The reason why you fainted was due to the shock and physical stress. You just needed a little bit of rest to recover," he replied, and she smiled, happy that one of the problems had been addressed.

"Thank you, Dr Walter."

"You will still have to take it easy. Don’t push your body beyond its limits, and you will be just fine. Keep taming the dications prescribed for two more days. After that, you wouldn’t have to anymore," Dr Walter advised, and she nodded.

Her attention is now on Dr Anders, who had been silently watching her interaction with Dr Walter. His keen eyes studied her, and she knew his 3xamination if her had already begun.

"I will leave you to him then," Dr Walter said as he stood up and began packing up his things.

At the front desk of Legend Corp," Williams and Mr Wilson approached the receptionists. They were a few minutes early, but they should still be allowed in.

David wanted to tell Williams that they didn’t have to, but the man was determined to follow the process, saying if he wanted to cut the line, he would have called his son directly. The reply to that statent was right at the tip of David’s tongue, but he bit back the words and followed Williams silently.

"Good morning, sirs. How can I help you today?" The attending receptionist asked as she looked up from the screen, and the look of surprise crossed her face as she imdiately recognized Williams. "Mr Crawford..."

"I have an appointnt with your president. Could you help –"

"Chairman Crawford," Kai’s voice interjected, and Williams smiled, turning towards Kai. "Welco to Legend Corp. I will take you to the president imdiately."

"I thought we could take you by surprise unless soone didn’t listen and made the call anyway," he gave a side glance at David, who didn’t even try to deny the accusation.

"Mr Wilson," Kai greeted with a curt bow, and David smiled.

"Good to see you are doing well, Skylar," David said as they headed for the private elevator.

"Of course. I’m happy to see you too," Kai replied, but he still maintained the air professionalism, leaving the two older n to shake their heads in bewildernt.
