Sean let out a sigh and chuckled. "I thought a miracle just happened, but I was wrong," said more to himself than anyone else, but they couldn’t help agreeing with him. "Anyway, since we are all here, it is only natural that we begin."

Alex and Adam sat down, and a shory silence followed afterward.

"You said this had to do with Father," Alex asked, and Sean nodded his head. "What is it?"

"You barely co ho," he looked at Alex for a brief mont before turning to Dominic and Lily. "And those at ho are too busy to pay attention to him, too engrossed in their Petty squabbles and aningless conflicts. It is no surprising that you are all clueless about what our father is going through. As his children don’t you feel ashad at all?"

Dominic frowned, not liking the way his younger brother was talking to him. But as soon as he opened his mouth to speak, Sean raised a hand, stopping him without even looking at him. He then placed his phone in his ear,

"You can bring them in, Chad," he said, and after hearing an affirmation from Chad, his assistant, he disconnected the call.

"Go ahead and say whatever you eanted ro say after going through what Chad hands over to you," he said to Dominic. His gaze briefly shifted to Alex. His expression was hard to read, but his silence was no surprise at all.

"What is that supposed to an?" Dominic asked. He didn’t want to admit it, but he had an ominous feeling about everything. Alex seems to have an idea of what Sean was talking about, but why was he in total darkness here?

A knock on the door had them all looking at it.

"Co in," Sean said.

Shortly after, Chad walked in and ca to stand beside Sean.

"Give a copy to everyone," he instructed.

"Yes sir," Chad answered and began handing out the copies.

"You can leave us now. I will take it from here," he said to his assistant, who bowed to him and his family before leaving.

"What is in your hands right now is a copy of Father’s dical report. I will understand if Olivia is unable to read and understand what is written their but I want to believe everyone else does," he said once everyone had a copy of their own.

"What!?" Lily exclaid, her eyes widely staring at the dical report.

"Just in case so of you may not understand, I will elaborate. The father’s condition has returned, and he does not have much ti left. Whatever you are all doing is getting to him and slowly eating away at his life. He does not need the stress you all put him through. Unless you wish for the death of Williams Crawford, I will advise that you all be mindful of your actions."

"I didn’t call you here to be a diator. Besides Olivia, none of you are children who need an adult to guide you. I have called you all to inform you and to warn you. You may not care about our father, but I do, and if anything happens to my father, because of you...trust when I say I will beco your worst nightmare turned reality." He stood up, gave his hand to Selena, who took it without hesitation.

"If you would excuse us, it is ti we take our leave," he said and turned to leave, but Alex spoke, halting their steps midair.

"How long has it been like this?" Alex asked. His eyes on the date which the report was given. It was a recent report, but he doubted it started then.

"It’s been a while now," he replied, and all Alex did was nod his head.

He stood up and walked out of the room even before Sean and Selena could.

"Shall we?" He said to his wife, whose gaze was still locked on the back of Alex.

"Yes," she said, and he pulled the door wider for her, and he followed behind her. "I’ll like to take a detour on our way ho. Is that alright by you?" Selena asked, and he nodded. "Thanks."

The door closed behind them, leaving the family of four alone inside. It was weird how everyone had gone silent and just stared at the dical report of Williams. No one knew what the other was thinking, but they all knew one thing, and that was Williams death would lead to a major change in the family.

But are they ready for the change?

"Miss Goldman," Greg said, with his head, bowed and forced to kneel before Sara by Kai. Although the impact of his knees on the floor was painful, he didn’t show any signs of hurt. He just discreetly gnashed his teeth together to curb the pain.

"I am sorry I couldn’t be by your side sooner, Miss. I am willing to accept any punishnt that you see fit," Asia said. Standing beside Greg, her head respectfully bowed.

Sara looked at her for a while at a loss. Wasn’t she captured by these guys? Then why was she apologizing and asking to be punished. Didn’t that sound so absurd to her? She looked at Kai and found his gaze straight and expectant.

I guess not. She thought to herself.

"You did nothing wrong. Rather, you made everything easier. You did bring g him here, didn’t you?" She said, smiling softly at Asia, but she shook her head.

"I wasn’t careful enough. Had I been none of this would have happened, and for that, I am truly sorry. I know my mistakes now, and I will make sure that this never repeats itself," Asia said stubbornly, and Sara frowned.

"Like you said, you have learned your lesson and known your mistakes, I do not see a reason for punishnt," she stood up and walked up to her. Asia always had her hair in a ponytail, but right now, she let it down and intentionally covered a side of her face.

Tugging aside the hair on her face, she poked the cheek where she was slapped, and Asia flinched a little. Sara smiled and rubbed the spot gently with her thumb.

"You are hurt. You should get it treated. Don’t worry about for now. I am safe here," she looked at Kai, and Asia did the sa.

"All right, Miss," Asia said, touched by the care Sara had shown.

"Before you go, can you tell who hurt you?" Sara asked, and Asia paused. Was that important? She wondered.

"Well..."

"You don’t want to tell? It’s fine. I am not forcing you to. Go and take care of yourself now," Sara said, her tone still warm and persuasive.

"Thank you," Although hesitant, Asia left after her words of gratitude.

"What would you like to do with him?" Kai asked. He watched her carefully, noting her every action and expression. He may not know her as well as Alex did, but he had co to learn that she was not one to let go of certain things easily.

"What else if not interrogation?" She asked with a casual shrug. She walked to stand in front of Greg and ordered, "Look at ."

Greg lifted his head and looked at her knowing if he didn’t, the man standing behind him would make him.

"I want to hear it from you, and I want you to tell only the truth," Sara began, and he nodded his head. "Who sent you to kill and why?" She asked.

She hasn’t even t anyone from the Goldmans yet, yet there were people coming to kill her. She wouldn’t want to have anything to do with them if it wasn’t for that fact that Trevor, the family head, was her father, and his dying wish was to see her.

"I don’t want to have to force you. Asia brought you here herself, and I want to believe in her judgnt. Don’t make believe otherwise," Sara said when she saw the hesitation in his eyes.

"I am sorry," Greg said in resignation. "Mrs Goldman sent us. Even though we know it’s wrong and against the rules, we can’t refuse because there are also rules that don’t allow us to refuse an order."

"And now that you’ve failed, what becos you?" Sara asked. She could already guess the answer, but when he answered it, it sounded even more unreal.

"It is a failed mission, so we won’t be expected to return alive or at all. Even if we do, there is no guarantee that we would keep living."

"What’s that supposed to an?" Sara asked, but he didn’t reply.

"They’ll be erased," Kai replied.

"This is ridiculous," Sara was still unable to beleive how easy it was for people to claims others’ lives.

"That’s just how it is. There is no other way about it unless you are lucky," Kai explained.

She took a deeper breath and exhaled slowly. "Now what? Why is she so eager to kill ? I have never done anything to her."
