"Did sothing happen?" Sara asked, asked to read his expression and and disntat and thought gaze told her sothing was seriously wrong. She just needed him to answer or at last nod, and her assumption would be confird.

"I don’t know," he said thoughtfully. Sean did sound serious, but Alex didn’t want to read too much into it. He might end up being too occupied to focus on the matters of the day.

Sara wanted to ask why he didn’t ask Sean what happened, but she thought he might have his reasons and thus chose to let it be. "I will go and get ready now. I’ll see you in a bit," Alex. She saw him nod again before she stood up and left.

After walking a few feet, she stopped sksturned to see him typing speddingly away at his phone’s keyboard. "Sohing is wrong," she muttered. He may not have asked, but he can surely feel it.

Once she was gone, Alex dialed a number and placed the phon on his ear.

"I want to know everything happening in there before the end of the day. The sooner, the better," he said to the person who had just called and disconnected after hearing an affirmation.

Once he was done, he slipped the phone into his pants pocket and rose to his feet. He headed for the bedroom and found Sara already dressed in her pants’ suit standing before the dresser, her eyes on the mirror as she tried to fix her makeup.

He smiled, feeling the stress leave him as he approached her. He then hugged her from behind and kissed her neck while she shivered from the unexpected kis.

"I am sorry for being insensitive before. I am truly glad that you rember everything now. I guess it was just a bit too much even for ," he said in a whisper while she smiled.

"Is that why you didn’t ask anything order than how I feel?" She asked, looking at him through the mirror reflection.

Alex snuggled closer to her, his nose touching her neck and his eyes closed. "Mhm," he humd, and Sara chuckled.

"What about now?" She asked, her hand itching to run through his hair but kept them at her side, afraid to ruin his hair before they leave.

"It’s not necessary. I am just happy I am no longer so stranger in your life anymore. Soone you had to marry even without knowing him fully," he t her gaze through the mirror reflection, and his fingers caressed her stomach. "I am no longer an excuse for you to escape an arranged marriage." He added.

Sara’s smile paused when she heard that. Did he think that was ger reason for marrying him? Even she wasn’t very sure of the answer. She may not have rembered everything back then as she did now, but she never saw him as just a way out. An escape.

"You have never been just an escape for , Alex. I thought you knew that?" He didn’t answer but kept his gaze on her. "I agree that I didn’t rember our past, but there was a connection, and I felt it too. Why do you think I never ejected your kisses before?" She asked, and he smirked.

"What?" Sara pouted.

"I thought you couldn’t reject this handso face of mine," Alex replied and saw her blush. "And you just couldn’t stand seeing hurt," he added, and she smacked his lap playful while he feigned hurt.

"Am I wrong?" He pressed while pressed her lips into a thin line. "I am right, ain’t I?"

"Maybe," Sara agreed, not seeing any reason why she should deny the truth. Thought partially true. It was still truth. "But there are tis I wanted to smack you in the face. I just suppressed the urge," Alex raised a brow at her, and she smirked. "Rember the ’No calling president or I’ll kiss you’ stunt you pulled on ?"

Alex laughed, holding her even closer now. "How can I forget? It created the first opportunity to share a kiss with you. I will always rember it," his eyes trailed down to her lips, and he slowly licked his own. "I rember the feeling. It was both intense and exhilarating. Soft and smooth and tasted like–" he paused and put on a thoughtful expression as if he was truly trying to rember the taste. "Yes, coffee. You tasted like coffee. Sweet and refined."

Hearing his say that and knowing his eyes never left her lips as he spoke, had Sara feeling hot. His words also had her thinking back to the day they shared their first kiss at the office. How easily her body surrendered to him even when she wanted to deny it. The familiarity of his touch and how gentle he was.

Her breath caught in her throat, and Alex smirked, satisfied with her reaction. She even leaned completely on him with him, supporting her weight.

"You can always relive the mont, you know?" He cooed. Sara’s ready red cheeks turned redder. But he didn’t stop and probed. "What do you say, Mrs Legend? Are you up for it? Do I have the permission to go ahead?"

He held both her side and spun her around, now staring directly into her eyes. He could her breath on his face as he leaned forward. Her dark eyes seemingly darker than usual and he knew that she was affected and probably excited too.

"Just a kiss?" She asked, but he looked at her confusion written all over his face.

"You want more than a kiss?" He asked, his face slowly brightening up and she realized what he ant imdiately.

"Did you forget you have work to do? It’s a Monday, Mr Legend," She said while trying to step away but his hold remained firm on her.

"I am the boss, so I can whenever I please," ca his reply with a causal shrug. "Besides, I just want to please my wife. Whatever it takes to satisfy her."

Sara was rendered speeechless.

"What? Did I say sothing wrong?" He asked innocently, even tilting his head to the side.
